Oh, this isn't what the MCU needs my friend, this IS the MCU. Without this amazing film, there never would have been an MCU. For us comic book nerds, back when this came out, it was the first time we saw the art that we knew translated into a movie correctly. Everything else that followed, came from this one film. Yep, it's brilliant. And Snipes is Blade. No other could do it. Though I have high hopes for Ali. Hope you enjoy.

Blade really deserves more credit in pop culture, it created Bullet Time(came out almost a year before The Matrix), showed that superhero movies could actually make money, and was basically the seed that saved Marvel and made it into the absolute behemoth it is today.
If the blood and effects of blade 1 is goner have you looking away ,get ready for blade 2, and that is considered the best of the three.
You was right about the effects in blade 2, it was definitely gory! My reaction to the second will be up tomorrow

@@ReDroueLive it sure is. I don’t think Disney or Marvel will make a Blade movie as good as the first two without neutering the source material and/or making it “woke”

Wesley Snipes is Blade, and, Blade is Wesley Snipes

Mahershala Ali is able to look like Blade, and probably can act like Wesley/Blade, and even with the best fight choreographers' help in in the world, Ali is not a really high level black belt martial artist like Wesley Snipes, the speed, the power, and lethal precision of Wesley, as well as Wesley's "Rizz"/bad'ss-coolness, just can't be faked, no trainer or fight choreographer in the world can reproduce what we see (young) Wesley Snipes doing in this blade trilogy (1-3, though 3 is really krappy) of movies
(sadly, Wesley Snipes is older, and he's probably still good at martial arts, but there's no beating age, at the very least, he's not moving at the speed and power, that we see him when he was younger in these movies, even if he were to be the actor/character of blade again, older Wesley Snipes, just isn't young Wesley snipes)

(now that I'm thinking about it, there's only 5 martial artists / actors, who's fight style done in movies is such intensity of speed and power and lethal precision: Wesley Snipes, Jet Li, Tony Jaa, Michael Jai White, and Scott Adkins, though maybe there's a few others I forgot or just don't know about, meh)
How about Donnie Yen !!! He'll make an apperance in the sequel.

@@ReDroueLive They kept losing directors and re-writing the scripts. So they apparently put it on indefinite hold.
