    I've got to ask, what's the largest interval you can span on the piano?
    I rarely see female pianists who are able to reach a tenth at all without majorly overextending to do so, however if my eyes weren't fooling me here, it seems that you can not only reach minor tenths fairly well, but that you can also reach tenths on all naturals *over the tops of the keys and not off the sides* ?

    • @hiddevanrenssen5129
      @hiddevanrenssen5129 Před 6 měsíci +1

      I think she uses a piano with smaller keys, so that even with smaller hands you can reach a tenth. Don't know for sure though

    • @PiotrBarcz
      @PiotrBarcz Před 6 měsíci

      @@hiddevanrenssen5129 That could be the case too, small scale keyboards are a real life saver these days, too bad I can't afford one!

    • @AmandaLeeLive
      @AmandaLeeLive  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Mine's a modern standard size piano. The ones with smaller keys tend to be really old models i think?

    • @thomastirone2348
      @thomastirone2348 Před 6 měsíci

      This is just wonderful. You may not notice, but you're much smoother and you're much more on time than you were two years ago. Play in the sextet has really helped your stride piano. Keep it up - you are going to be utterly awesome.

    • @PiotrBarcz
      @PiotrBarcz Před 6 měsíci

      @@AmandaLeeLive Some newer uprights are sold with the, so called, 7/8 scale which gives the pianist one more key of span. A lot of pianists with small hands use them, especially classical pianists.
      You're lucky that you have enough span to use tenths as well as you do ;) It's a great advantage!
