He was a hoss. Its hard to get good footage in the boat with Brody. Evertime i set a camera up he messes with it lol

what you call a bowfin, here in SC we call them a mudfish. we will catch them for sport but they ain't much to eat, so we put them back. they fight super hard and are fun to catch,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
If you learn how to handle them you wont put another one back but mishandled its the worst mess there is

@@SpiritoftheOutdoors As a pick, it ain't nothing special, but it's cool to be doing what the old folks had to do before there was plastic and you couldn't afford a real tortoise shell pick. It sounds better than using a penny :) I don't remember how long it takes to dry hard enough to use. I wish I hadn't lost the one my nanaw showed me how to cut out. Little treasures like that are finer than gold
I catch bowfins all the time i have been watching your channel what is the secret to cooking those bowfins i have tried keeping a couple and every time the meat is all mushy
