      c90adventures unfortunately this is the only way Adobe integrates it into Premiere. It's not native to Premiere yet, but this is how to do it if you want to do it in Premiere the most conveient way.

    Please no music for entertainment in tutorials where the listeners / viewers should learn about ducking music - it's quite annoying.

      also, you went from 0-100mph when you opened audition, you didn't explain that the audio clip BEING ducked must be selected. if i weren't versed in audio production i would have been beyond lost.

    So in reality its not done in Premier but Audition.

    • @mbaksa
      @mbaksa Před 8 lety +8

      Yes. Clickbait.

    • @JuicyTuts
      @JuicyTuts  Před 8 lety +4

      +mbaksa it's not clickbait. I also have a video showing you how to do it just in Audition on its own. But if i left it as that, people wanting to know their options for Premiere wouldn't get the info they need. This video shows the only option for Premiere users and how to dynamically link it to Audition. The starting and end result are in Premiere which is what people want. It's unfortunate that Premiere doesn't do it natively, but as all Adobe products link together, it also doesn't matter. Thanks for watching. I hope you found it useful, at least.

    • @mbaksa
      @mbaksa Před 8 lety +1

      Whether you are aware or unaware of this, your title is a clickbait. It wouldn't be a clickbait if you added something like "using Audition" at the end of the title. Many people who come to this video searching sidechain compression in Premiere want to know how to do it in Premiere (or want to know if that is even possible), and not how to export it and then do the sidechain compression in Audition (or some other program). Also, from what I see, what you did there is not dynamically linked! It is exported into Audition, then imported into Premiere. It's not even linked! This is even worse than saying you did an animation in Premiere when in fact you did it in After Effects. Even that would be clickbaiting, although that really would have been dynamically linked.

    • @JuicyTuts
      @JuicyTuts  Před 8 lety +3

      It is still not clickbait. If for example I had a video showing you how to install something and had to use Google Chrome to download the software from a specific site, I would title it 'How to install SOFTWARE NAME'. And by your same logic that video would be clickbait because I didn't call it 'How to install SOFTWARE NAME using GOOGLE CHROME from WEBSITE NAME'. It's just not logical. This video clearly shows you how to achieve what people searching 'Sidechain compression in Adobe Premiere' are looking for and that's how to be most helpful. SEO is all about allowing people looking for your content to find it. It's not clickbait, it's getting the info the people who are looking for it. And for me to say in the video "It's not possible natively to Premiere" is not helping anyone. And as Audition is included with Premiere it's all part and parcel of how to do this in Adobe Premiere. And it is all linked too. If at the end I ticked the box (which I stated in the video) to bring back into Premiere, it would've automatically imported it back into my sequence. Clickbait would be putting boobs in the thumbnail and calling the video 'YOU WON'T BELIEVE THIS TRICK IN PREMIERE'. Again, I hope I am helpful.

    • @mbaksa
      @mbaksa Před 8 lety +2

      The situation you described with installing the software is not equivalent. The title implies you would show how to do sidechain compression inside Premiere Pro (I just don't understand how you don't see that). You did no such thing. You showed exporting video/audio tracks to Audition, and importing rendered file to Premiere. You showed sidechain compression with Audition. Premiere Pro here is, if sidechain compression is the main part of the tutorial, almost an irrelevant part - it could have been any other software. Or none. You could have done ducking beforehand and import processed audio files into Premiere Pro or other software. If the title was "Sidechain Compression Audio Ducking in Adobe Premiere Pro using Audition (TUTORIAL)" there would be no such implication. And nobody would complain.

  • @DanHargrave

    When you select multiple tracks and click "Edit clip in Adobe Audition" from Premiere, your Audition project comes up in multi-track mode. Mine doesn't. It comes up with two separate tracks in separate sessions (correct terminology?). How do I get Audition to come up with both tracks in the same multi track session?

  • @yuyiskis
    @yuyiskis Před rokem

    Thank you so much! Audition is quite tricky when it comes down to side chains (most of the dynamic processing plug-ins don't even have a "hold" setting which makes the audio sound "pumping") I usually use nuendo but I wanted to save time but instead I just spent more time by doing this lol. Again thank you!!

    Wow! Some of these people are out of control with criticism. Thank you for this tutorial. However. I am stuck. I am using Audition 2017 and when trying to do the second part using sidechain, it does not work. When I apply the sidechain, it gets rid of the dynamic Processing on the music track and the volume goes back up. Am I missing something? Also I have a unique situation because the dude who originally tried to fix the audio of the video in FCP somehow got the tracks multiplied and they show up as dual audio tracks instead of one stereo track. Is it okay to export without the sidechain if it acjhieves the effect I want?

      It's not "clickbait" and neither was it my word. Just like the other person I would like to apologise for causing a problem with my title. However calling it 'In Audition' would not have supplied the information to people wanting to do it in Premiere. I already have a video on the subject independently for Audition. I feel like people are more annoyed at the fact Premiere doesn't do it natively, than saying my video is the problem.

  • @Fourmyle
    @Fourmyle Před 8 lety

    So, in other words...I'd be better off exporting audio to Ableton, processing sidechained compression there, RE-importing the finished audio back into Premiere Pro, and slaving it to video again...

  • @Thor_Underdunk_Caballerial
    @Thor_Underdunk_Caballerial Před měsícem

    Dude, you spend a long time showing the music and commentary tracks which people will already understand because they are looking for side-chain compression, then you move quickly through the menus and bits that people AREN'T familiar with. You got your shit backwards. Further, the instructions didn't work in my case, the compresion works, but side chain does not work. I will investigate.

      iivanov86 Sorry. I guess i deserve the hate for making FREE videos for FREE which help a lot of people and that no one is ever forced to watch. Also, this is the only workflow that Adobe has in place for Premiere Pro and that is what this video shows. If you want to do it in Premiere, this is the workflow. My Audition tutorial doesn't help Premiere users. Finally, the background music fades out when you need to listen to the audio.
