    Thank you for putting the breaker panel in a location where I don't have to kneel, crouch, or crawl to get to it. It's like other RV manufacturers have never had electrical problems before. I have a suggestion for avoiding the battery freezing problem--at least for when you're actively camping in the unit--and that's to move the batteries into the living area. I've seen other units where they put the batteries under the seats of the dinette booth.

    Great video. Thanks for sharing this info in a video. When I first got my 40V13 they controller was turned off and I couldn’t figure out why I didn’t have any power to the distribution panel. This video would have helped me figure that out.

    Great video. I'm new to solar and why I'm asking. I'll be ordering a new Alliance Paradigm w/ the solar plus package in about a month or so. If I'm on shore power from the pole and using the A/C, and the power goes out, will the A/C continue to work automatically on Solar/Inverter/Batteries? I'm asking because sometimes we are out and about and leave our Puppy/dog in the trailer. I'm sure the Tech/Dealership won't have a clue so I'm asking the experts. Thanks

    I wish Alliance offered install after purchase. I purchased a 2022 used and would love to have it installed.

    Great job Jim! This video should be a prerequisite for anyone (including myself), who is purchasing an Alliance with either of the Solar packages. I installed my own 800watt/412aH system on my Grand Design, and thought I knew just about everything. Well, guess what.. you learn something new every day! Quick question: The 36V13 I'm picking up next week is supposedly prepped for a generator. So does that mean it will be plug and play for my smaller, 3000watt portable generator? In addition, the three solar panels in the plus package are capable of producing about 395aH or more, per day during the spring and summers months. Would it not make sense to add a fourth, 100aH battery to the system?

    Great video! Just one question, is there not a way to bypass the load shedding device while plugged into shore power?

    How come there are no videos like this for the Avenue specifically the 29RL?

  • @vbjage
    @vbjage Před rokem +1

    Just a safety suggestion, if you are going to recommend removing power cables and connecting them together to bypass the inverter, would it not be prudent to mention you should kill ALL power sources? If they are on shore power or generator power, the feed cable will be live and lethal. Maybe just add some titling on the video to mention the safety part? No need to reshoot. Otherwise, even as an owner, I found this helpful. Wish we had the upgraded battery monitor, though. :)

    My brain hurts! I need to watch this several more times! I am wondering why Alliance does not include a battery warmer of some sort with this system. The rigs have tank heaters and all the goods that will allow them to face freezing temps, so why not do something to allow the batteries to face those temps too? Also wondering about summer heat, I think the hottest temp you can charge these is 113 deg, isn't it? So if you are somewhere where the temperatures can reach that range, what do you do? thanks for the great info!

    I understand. That you can only use the middle A/c unit off grid . Can you modify it to use only bedroom A/c I was thinking if your boondocking that middle a/c wont be much good while sleeping. My second question if your batteries are at full power and you don’t use anything else . How long will that a/c run during the night with the solar plus package

    AGM batteries are so yesterday. Go Lithium plus Solar.

    I was wondering do the AC units come with soft starts? If not, wouldn’t make it easier on the batteries for the ACs to have it? Thus giving possibly more than one AC when off grid.

    Has Alliance considered using heated batteries...for example like Battle Born? It may help with cold batteries and a better 4 season operation. I am interested in your solar plus package and need 4 season operation.

    Can breakers from the inverter be moved to shore power panel?

    Hello I work at a RV dealer. Question about the solar fuse from the solar charge controller to the battery. We had 2 units that had 40 amp fuses and we found both open during PDI inspection. You just said look for the 60 amp fuse. Question is What size fuse does this system need. The both system also had a 40 amp Renogy charge controller on them.

      @charlestyer2164 Před rokem +3

      I don't work for Alliance, but I am familiar with these systems. I believe the following is correct...
      The Basic solar package has a 40amp solar controller and a 40amp fuse.
      The Solar Plus Package has a 60amp solar controller and a 60amp fuse.
