Yes, Jean is way more powerful than Wanda. Her power started started the universe and they messed up the storyline. The Phoenix wasn’t supposed to be a split personality. It is a cosmic entity that created the entire Marvel universe.
When you reach the point that you watch "Days of Future's Past," I recommend watching the "Rouge Cut" version.

They have to watch the Wolverine movies and then days of future past and then deadpool movies and finish with LOGAN. X-men first class is the only good movie from the new ones. Apocalipse was ok. But dark phoenix is awful. it's just a cheap version of XMEN 3.
Phoenix can disintegrate an entire person but Wolverine's pants seems to be the most indestructible thing in the universe.

@@MrCmad1104 the original scene they did she disintegrated. She turned Logan into a spoon and started putting water into the sky and made everything float and caused destruction on the entire earth but they deleted that scene and scrap the whole thing

Jean is the only reason Wolverine was able to get that close to her. The Phoenix wasn’t in full control.
She didn’t have the actual cosmic entity, Phoenix force. It was only a split personality, which was confusing for me when I first watched it because the storyline was messed up. It wasn’t supposed to be a alter ego at all.

That is literally his name in the comics: Angel, and he's one of the founding members of the X-Men.
The one guy that Magneto frees from the convoy is known as Multiple Man, and he's a lot more dangerous than this film shows. His 'dupes' are completely independent and have the same powers as he does, however as he is the "Prime" he can reabsorb them at will, also gaining all of their skills and memories in the process. He creates a dupe via kinetic energy, whether that be by being slapped/punched, snapping his fingers, or stomping a foot. He can also kill someone instantly by shoving a hand in their mouth and creating a duplicate inside them, exploding them from the inside out.
The body that Charles was showcasing to his class and talking about the ethics of consciousness transfer was that of his twin brother, who was rendered essentially braindead in the womb due to Charles' mutation overwhelming his mind. Charles transferred his own psyche into his brother just before he died, which is why he says hello to Moira McTaggert at the end.

@@kevinnorwood8782He became the Archangel when during the "Mutant Massacre" incident his wings are crippled and become gangrenous, so he gets them amputated, and then Apocalypse kidnaps him and offers to restore his wings in exchange for serving him as one of his Four Horsemen, to which he agrees. Thus, Apocalypse gives him wings of organic metal from which he can fire blade-feathers like projectiles, and the Archangel is born.

Stranger Things is MAJORLY influenced by X-MEN and the Phoenix Saga, with Eleven obviously being the Jean Grey. In episode 1 of ST, before Will gets taken, he and Dustin are racing for an X-MEN comic; specifically, his X-MEN 134. That comic is the beginning of The Phoenix Saga. I even had a tee that was made up of comic book versions of the ST cast comprising the exact cover of that comic book. It's brilliant.
These movies did rogue so dirty. She's beyond powerful.

The obvious connection between Charles and Eric is fascinating because a common interpretation of the characters is Charles as MLK and Eric as Malcolm X.

Jean herself is beyond stronge amd with phoenix...she is in another level...she has the power to do anything she wants...destroy, create( universes... everything)
It's actually kinda funny since the comics state that the Phoenix actually limited her powers some. Jean is stronger without tapping into the Phoenix side

I think that moment was meant to emphasize how vile Magento's hatred towards humans is! Even when he was injected with the cure, he was so disgusted with himself he was pretty much dead inside.
He put so much pride in himself for being a mutant, that if any were to convert into being a human he will abandon you no matter how loyal you were. When it applies to myself, his mutation is what literally defines him where he is literally nothing without his powers and if he loses that, he's NOTHING.

Fun fact in the comics Rogue is one of the strongest mutants. She got into a fight with Captain Marvel and permanently gained her super strength and her ability to fly.
It also Rogue's Tale in X-Men The animated series.
Rogue however still stays only alpha class mutant

And for the post scene, that was charles twin brother, before he died, He transferred his consciousness to his brother's body (His brother was basically a mindless body due to charles powers at birth). Although in the comics I'm not sure if she had a brother, but she did have a "sister": Cassandra Nova.
if you guys didnt know, quicksilver and scarlet witch (wanda) are brother and sister. Their father is magneto so keep that in mind when watching the sequels

prof x moved his concious into a body that didnt have one, they were talking about it in the beginning, the ethics of it. and as you could tell by the end, the cure is temporary, and most people hated this one, its one of my favorites, days of future past, is next, and is better
The Wolverine is next and then First Class. Those two need to be watched before Days of Future Past
I only dont like how "easy" it is to kill Jean. Other than that, this is a good movie

“X-Men: The Last Stand” is one of my favorite X-Men movies of all time, definitely top three. I loved watching it with you guys. All the characters were great. Both The Brotherhood mutants and the good mutants were great and unique in their own way with their powers and their personalities. It was sad to see Scott, Jean,mand Professor Charles die. The dynamic as Vince mentioned about what everyone thought about the cure, the political side of it, those in favor of it, those against it and the forceful side of it was well shown. Loved your reactions/analysis, take care, stay healthy, enjoy life and have a great one🔥👍

Highly recommend castle Loma. It’s a beautiful little castle/mansion. They do shut rooms off limits at times so just be sure to check before going. But the gardens and I believe professors office room.

My favorite of the three. So many people didn't like the third one, BUT THIS IS MY ABSOLUTE NUMBER ONE FAVORITE ITERATION OF JEAN GREY AS THE PHOENIX.
i know they had to change it up a little, and i know it wasn't the same as the comics, but THEY MADE HER SO BEAUTIFUL AND SO SCARY. Her dark animation reminded me of a nebula in space, lit powerfully from within but shrouded in shadow. Almost like an homage to the source material they didn't have the ability to use. HUGE EASTER EGG, FOR MY LITTLE HEART.

Funny you guys mentioned scarlet witch in the comics they both are compared to yin and yang, so they couldn't beat each other for the life of it, in live action its debate-able, loved this video from you guys

So if you're watching the rest of the films, make sure to watch the Unrated R-Rated Extended Cut for The Wolverine (Not X-Men Origins: Wolverine.) and the Days of Future Past ROGUE CUT which is another Extended Cut that has Rogue exclusively featured in the film amongst other extended scenes and changes. Enjoy.

Amazing reaction so much nostalgic for me cause I saw it on the big screen with dad and older brother , and I remembered the scene with the bridge I was in Awe after the movie.

Such a great series! This one certainly had the most "all out" action of any superhero movie so far. I do think it suffered a bit from executive meddling, putting two major storylines into a single film. This could easily have been *either* Dark Phoenix or The Cure but it didn't need to be both.

great reaction as always…so I don’t remember where I read/heard this comparison..but it’s on how the ideology and approach of Prof. X & Magneto characters were inspired by MLK & Malcom X…(MLK/Prof X and Malcolm X/Magneto)…I find the parallels kinda on point!
The xmen mansion is in Victoria British Columbia. Known as Hatley Castle it is one of Lord Dunsmires Castles (an coal barron). It was later turned into Royal Roads Military Academy; it is now Royal Roads University.
Growing up (yep I'm an old boomer fart) with the comics, "The High Flying Angel" (Warren Worthington) was always my favorite.
Beast (not blue back then) was next and Ice man. Storm grew on me and so did Cyclops.
I never knew until these movies that Jean Grey was the Phoenix.
I also never got into Magneto and Mystique until this movie series.

Technically, this isn't over yet 😊. When you get to "The Wolverine" it picks up where this movie ends, years later of course. I am sure everyone in the comments will give you both the timeline of the next X-Men movies. Looking forward to seeing the reaction for Wolverine and "Days of Future Past."
I will recommend that when you get to Days of Future Past, watch the "Rogue version" as opposed to the theatrical version. The original theatrical version had cut out all of Rogue's scenes, the Rogue version is much better in my opinion.

I like all the XMEN movies because they are all part of the stories. I have to laugh at comments saying they did one or that one wrong like you could make a movie that would satisfy all the comic books. I enjoyed this one a lot as well as the Dark Phoenix. The undertaking that it takes to bring any comic to life is a massive undertaking. I appreciate them all. I am with you both, a great movie.

You’re actually more right than you think about Wolverine’s healing ability making him so dangerous, because there’s another facet to it. If Wolverine takes too much continuous damage in a short amount of time, his healing factor goes into overdrive and makes him temporarily invulnerable for a short period. But as a side effect, he goes completely berserk while he’s in this state and can’t tell friend from foe.
“He’s lost in some kind of berserker rage and now he can’t feel the pain anymore!” -The X-Men anime series from Studio Madhouse.

I like seeing blind reactions from first timers. A lot of people dislike this movie and try to ruin others reactions with their opinions but I’ve seen people actually enjoy this film by watching it on their own without going in with that mindset from others

The Phoenix (jean is the main host) is the entity of life and destruction. Straight chaos like you said but stable chaos if it makes sense ? Sw and Phoenix are like the yin Yang of powers as the strongest entity in this universe tho. Because regardless Phoenix is the most powerful entity of every universe multiverse and everything and more. Cant wait for mcu to actually exploit the Phoenix right and NOT kill it once it gets release but give us the Avengers vs X-men story 🙏🏽🧿🤍
The Phoenix can be somehow control when Jean becomes the white Phoenix but beside that ! They can’t control it hhh🫠
I had a mixed opinion on this one, but I usually find myself watching because of the questions and themes it inevitably brings up, this was, much like the way the best comics are written, has aged the best, despite when it first premeired fans hated they they killed Jean, Scott, and Charles. I was of the mind that they didn't have to kill anyone, but I guess the writers couldnt find a way out of it once the setup started. I dunno. Still, pretty good movie. And seeing Beast on screen for the first time played PERFECTLY by Kelsey Grammer was genius casting!
Just wanted to share a few things. First magneto and professor x are based off of Malcolm x and Martin Luther King. The mutants are based off of black people during the civil rights era. Also magneto is Wanda's and quicksilver's dad!
