To escape from the truly dark quagmire into which today’s world has waded, to live in a much simpler time, would be my ultimate dream come true, second only to spending eternity in heaven with Jesus Christ.
Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus.

Those old churches and Cathedrals were built to do that, they didn’t need microphones and electronic amplification. It’s so much more ethereal and a majestic sound. It really sounds like it’s the angels in heaven, at least what I imagine they will sound like. She has an incredible voice. Very uplifting thank you for showing us your marvelous experience. Our modern, plain churches built in recent times just can’t begin to give that same effect. I am so glad they preserve these old Cathedrals. They should last forever because they are made with the materials made by God like limestone and slate roofs. The stone masons did work really hard building these monuments to Almighty God, thank you sirs. They are long gone, let’s hope that helping to build a church helps get the deceased men into heaven where they hear the real angels.

It actually *should* tell you that she (visibly) did *not* already know.
      She's surprised.
By how good it sounds *in that church* (which is actually what the video is really about).
She's got a nice voice but not particularly spectacular or anything like that.
It's just a nice voice, greatly magnified by the amazing acoustics of the particular building.
Which is, by the way, what she was actually posting about.
Some people don't seem to have noticed that quite yet.

@@jadedoe9966 And now you've completely missed *my* point.
I (very obviously) wasn't attacking people due to some unhappiness of my own, or indeed attacking anyone at all.
And I wasn't trying to be a downer, either.
I'm actually quite delighted with the video, the church, and the singer.
I think all are very nice.
That's in fact the main reason why I thought that the video was worth commenting on.
The girl herself is so obviously so delighted *with the church* and *not* with how splendid or magnificent or marvelous she thinks her own singing is.
She's also obviously pleasantly surprised (that it sounds that good in that particular location).
I would have felt the exact same in her place.
She also sings well, although not miraculously or amazingly or anything like that.
In fact I'm sure she sings better than I do. (Which is fine by me.)
I was referring to the unfortunate lack of knowledge of some of the posters here, which is certainly their problem, not mine.
I'm not "miserable" about any of it, but since you ask, I actually do think that it's quite unnecessary for adults to be that lacking in knowledge, particularly when the girl who posted the video *already told us* what, in her own view, the video was about.
It's about how amazing she thought that particular church was. *Not* how amazing she thought *she* was.
I actually think that she seems like a very nice girl and that her singing is very nice too.
I'm just sorry that so many people seem to have so utterly missed what the video was about.
I'm not "so miserable" and I didn't act as if I were.
But I certainly do find the lack of knowledge somewhat disappointing.
I hope that answers your question.

You can just imagine how it made God smile to hear His daughter singing so joyfully. You go, sister!
Edit: Alright, I didn't want to do this, but I've finally been pushed to it 72 replies later.
Watch yourselves, it's a toxic quagmire down there.
For those of you who just tryna start somethin', **coughaithiests&muslimscough** and picked a person who, in a fit of joy, posted an honest expression of Child-Like Wonder and Hope, which hadn't happened in quite a long time bc real life and the tragedy in the world is a bugger, *Move Right Along.*
I honestly don't have time for you today.
That's why there are some comments, several actually, that I could give a reply to but haven't, because:
1.) It's obvious some people just came here to pick a fight, and well, maybe this ship has already sailed but, I'd rather not have to watch/participate in Comment World War III going down, because that's fighting fire with gasoline. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️
2.) I have I life. 😑 I don't have to spend it trying to change the opinions of people whose Minds are set, and Hearts are clearly made in Stone. I could Reply all I want, you would not even be *willing* to listen. (And this is a COMMENT SECTION on The INTERNET. Do y'all truly expect to chance life-long opinions of people whom hold no connection nor obligation to you?)
It doesn't mean I don't care about you or love you, or mourn your pain with you, or have just as many questions as you do. I just know how to choose my battles. (Do you?)
And 3.) Do y'all honestly expect me to always have a proper answer for everyone? News Flash: I don't. Because this is a Journey. The Destination is important, but so is the path it takes to get you there. It's continuous. Our minds were designed to be curious, to ponder, to mull over things, sometimes repeatedly, to find the correct answer. And we were given 8 billion other people to test the truth of those answers against. And to still come to one ultimate conclusion, in the face of all that.
I've chosen a very narrow road to walk on this Journey. One that is pretty treacherous, if I were honest. The proof lies in those of you taking shots, intentional and non.
I stand by what I said. I stand beside my God, my Father, my Lord Jesus, who's given me a Joy that flies in the face of and baffles the world, and a Gentleness of Heart to withstand it, that I likely wouldn't've had naturally.
Many of you will wonder how I'm capable of believing in Jesus on such a thin line of reasoning. To which I answer . . . . simply Faith.
Because "Faith is the substance of all things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1.)
It wasn't designed to make sense to someone Hard of Heart, and perhaps most especially, Hard of Head. 😋😜 🪖🔨
But that's enough out of me.
Y'all in the Replies can rest easy knowing your opinion has been thoroughly noted.
And you guys are exhausting. Congratulations.

Well. The church sings with her. In my home town we have a cathedral with this kind of acoustics. It just is a huge gothic building. This one is far smaller, and still you can hear the voice sailing across the space. But singing alone in this kind of acoustics is greater than I can describe. I have had that possibility only once. I have also played electric guitar in that cathedral. Even low volume, it was quite useless job for acoustical reasons. These churches were made to turn human voice celestial, and they are very sensitive to excessive noise. Even the key in which you sing matters.

Moreover, you more or less correctly say that power exists - strictly speaking, the word should be energy - power is simply the rate of energy consumption or generation: power is measures in watts and energy in joules and one watt equals one joule per second. So if you're happy energy and matter exists, why does it need a god or gods to explain?
Obviously, I'm slightly demolishing your woolly and muddled statement because it seems clear that you are saying you have had a Damascene conversion but, like all deluded people who suddenly (or slowly) somehow get to feel they've "seen the light" the very confused and conflicting nature of what was written (irrespective of the intentions) only further illuminates the total lack of any real insights, evidence, logic or clarity of thought on the topic. I have no trouble intrinsically sensing the awesome size, tremendous age, majesty and mind blowing phenomena which are out there - all produced by the complex interaction and interplay of the 92 naturally occurring elements with quite a small number of forces - which comparatively small set of basics nevertheless producing the huge array of entities observed and as yet hidden, both understood and currently mysterious. And it both depresses and bores me that people still need to claim to a bunch of complete strangers that they have now had the veil lifted. Why can't people just accept that the reason we have, for want of a better description, a "sixth sense" is entirely evolutionary and does not need some ancient Jewish, Christian or Islamic or any other hokus pokus to explain it, in the way that one can understand people reached for in less enlightened times. It's just lazy, clichéd and unimaginative.....with more than a hint of ghost story/gullible belief in old superstitions.....

This is beautiful and takes me back to my childhood. I was about 11 or 12 and my Vacation Bible School took a trip around my State visiting other Churches. We visited a huge beautiful Catholic Church in Atlanta and I had wandered away up into the balcony with a couple of other girls and the urge hit me to sing.. there was no one else in the Church to my knowledge except for my group. I sang Ave Maria and the echo was beautiful. We were approached as we were coming back down by one of the Priests who asked if it was one of us who had sang. My friends both pointed me out as I stood red faced. He complemented me and told me to come back anytime. I have never forgotten it.

Gos is calling you! Hey stranger, I don’t know you and you don’t know me, but one thing I know I want you to know. Please read this, it’s important. This is it: you are going to die. Ok, maybe you knew that. But do you acknowledge that wether if you believe or not, one day God is going to judge you? And me? And everyone else? If you are atheist and you don’t believe in God it doesn’t mean He doesn’t exist. However I want you to know that even when you might mock Jesus, and hate Him or similar stuff. Jesus is the only way to have true peace in your life, soul and heart but most importantly …Jesus is the only way to be saved, to be forgiven by God. You might think you don’t care about wether if God forgives you or not, but truly, one day you will. My message it’s written with love and not condemnation, the same way God is not angry and wanting to judge you, but rathe He wants you be saved. He want you to be healed and walking with purpose. God never wanted something bad for you, but your own decision have a consequence. You cannot walk towards darkness and expect to have light around you that can help you not to fall. Jesus died for your sins, so you can repent and be saved. Not for you to be perfect and then, repent. We have all failed God. But that doesn’t mean it’s the end. There is hope, and there is true peace, there is happiness and purpose that will last always in Jesus. This world can give temporary things, but will leave you empty. Jesus wants to give you eternal things, and make you whole through Him. He loves you. He is waiting for you. Please turn to Him. I’m sorry for people and situations that have shut u down and hurt you.
