I’m so glad you started to listening to 4EVE, because CJ ENM is now a shareholder for Thailand Music Countdown which is basically Thailand’s Mnet Countdown and yes they have another music show named Tpop Stage, Thailand Music Countdown is more recent

4EVE is like overall group, if you really wanna categorise them. 😂
Their label never announced about the position in the group, but from my observation from following them for about 3 years,
I would say that they actually have 4 vocalists;
Aheye (She can be considered as main vocal as she always get the high-note part, doing some adlibs etc),
Mind (She has strong, powerful voice but in terms of technique, Aheye might still be better.),
Jorin (She actually get the rap part most of the time so she’s considered to be the rapper of the group but she also has good and unique voice and can also hit some high note so she can be considered as both vocalist and rapper in the group)
Hannah (Her voice might be thinner than others but she got quite wide range for a voice. She can sing in low tone quite well.)
The other 3 members might not be outstanding in terms of vocals, but they all can sing well
They also have 4 good dancers;
Fai (Most people consider her as a main dancer of the group. She has competed in HHI (Hip Hop International Thailand) before so her hiphop basic is good.)
Mind (She also has competed in HHI like Fai so her hiphop basic is also good. She actually has clean, sharp dance moves.)
Taaom (She’s the shortest and smallest one in the group but her dance moves can be outstanding. Her stage presence is also good.)
Punch (She is also the one who has clean and sharp dance moves, similar to Mind but still has her own uniqueness.)
So they’re actually an overall group, focusing overall performance, not specifically focus on just vocals or dances.
And their music is very versatile. They have pop, cute song, emotional ballad song, rap song, trap hiphop song, pop rock song, etc.
So it’s understandable if you might not like some songs of them. For me, I like Hot2Hot, Vroom Vroom, Life Boy, Test Me, Tears, No One, 4EVER)

I'm not surprised that you felt the last song was unique. Because this song has a lot of Thai elements mixed in.Whether it's a musical instrument or a song The melody is like a traditional Thai song. Or Thai slang from the 90s
Thanks for checking out T-POP ~ 4EVE are one of the most popular groups atm and they've only improved throughout the years both the production and girls themselves. Some people love Vroom Vroom and some hate it but 4EVE (and T-POP groups im general) never really stick to one sound or genre so there will be songs you love and hate. There are so many Thai idols debuting in K-POP and C-POP so it would be sacriledge not to have our own idol scene.
Lifeboy is a popular slang from the 80s but the song also has some Thai instruments and traditional Thai 80s synth vibes. These are definitely some of my top 4EVE song
4EVE definitely lean more on the performance and synchronisation style but they do have some very talented vocalists and rappers with unique vocal tones. My biggest issue is in alot of their performances, they use a very loud backing track when I want to hear them sing but when they do their ballads or slower songs, then they sing live.

T-POP is much smaller than K-POP, J-POP and C-POP but it is one of, if not the biggest in Southeast Asia amd definitely the most popular internationally since Thailand although big, doesn't have the same population size as the likes of Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines.
Idol groups have been around for decades now, but I don't think they were ever a mainstream genre until recently, I think in the late 90s/early 2000s and then early 2010s again they were hugely popular and now we're kinda seeing a resurgence again and 4EVE is leading the way.
