- At the funeral for civil rights leader and Congressman John Lewis, longtime friend Xernona Clayton told the story of how Lewis and his late wife, Lillian Miles Lewis, first met. Watch her remarks.
You go girl....matchmaker, I want to be like her when I turn 90
Ms. Wendland wasn't t hff at the cutest story. It took some of my sadness away. In fact, I was cracking up. I said ole girl went gangsta in getting that loving couple into holy matrimony.🥰❤🙏🙏🙏
So true! :)
Proof that your good friend knows what's best for you. They made a cute couple.
What a wonderful story. What a wonderful man. He will be missed! Thank you for paving the way to equality for ALL, and doing it with LOVE 💕
I want to be this extraordinary woman when I grow up, my God, to have a friend like that ! I lost my sister almost 20 years ago I haven’t found another that could take her place. RIP Mr. Lewis, RIP sis, you are both sorely missed.

This was the woman that drove MLK to the airport as he was getting ready to head to Memphis
They say black never breaks. Look at this lady, 90 years old, sharp as a cookie and looks decades younger!!!
So funny when she said there was another girl interested in John. We didn’t do competition back then. We got rid of her 😅
😂
Love this lady 🥰
I adore this woman!!!!!
Sweet story
That was great indeed, thank you!
What a blessing to have Christian ✝️ parents, family & friends in our lives. RIP 👑 King & 👑 Queen.
It's a shame when a man has to get his skull cracked just so he and others like him can have the same rights as the person who cracked his skull.
Thank you, Congressman Lewis.
R.I.P.
Hey, she was still talking. To the life and inspirational actions of John Lewis. I hope to God there are many taking up those reins driving home powerful ideas with peace and definitely some of that good trouble.

I am a conservative--have been since '68. I WANT OBAMA BACK1
12 million infect with H1N1 and 70 thousand dead while Obama was golfing. Spare me your ignorance.
@cool azul and you still can’t understand how well he handled Ebola. Remember when Fox went into a freak out?
A FIERCE testimony of BLACK EXCELLENCE!
Mr. John Lewis, Congressman first direct encounter with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr occurred in the summer of 1958, when he traveled to Montgomery to seek Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's help in suing to transfer to Troy State University, an all-white institution closer to his home. Mr. Lewis met with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Ralph Abernathy, and Fred Gray at Abernathy's Baptist Church, and they decided that would contribute their financial and legal assistant to Mr. John Lewis. However, Mr. John Lewis joined The Revolution of Martin Luther King Jr a/k/s the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) on May 16, 1962 Mr. Lewis valued Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, as the man who had ultimately set him on his life path. Mr. John Lewis is an American Colored Man who married a Jamaican women from New York, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, is an American Colored Man who married a West Indian women from Cleveland Ohio. Mr. John Lewis and Dr. Martin Luther King children are biracial. I hope their children will respect the intelligence, hard working nature, kindness, and the beauty of American Colored People!
If you can gather for a funeral you can go out and vote in November, If you can gather for a funeral you can open small businesses, If you can gather to protest you can go to a church. The laws do not apply to everyone equally.
Go out and do whatever you like, pray you live to tell your story.
@@kateakintoye6507 I wonder if you say that to all the protesters

Amazing
Why this guy got so angry face? Did he hate the world?
Alex L If you went through what he went through for 80 years you would be angry too
@@kentom8025 And what that guy went through?!
But your family member cannot have funerals. Democrats however can campaign here.
Your sick, many people have had funerals and weddings.
We gave our cousin a funeral. This is what’s wrong with people. Smfh
@@Diane-tq7lw WRONG! my niece is a wedding planner and does hair and make up, they have been ordered to remain closed until further notice.
@@Karen-uv7tn Then how come they do not limit these high profile funerals, I though we were all equals..lol see how this works now.
A crook and a scoundrel.
Who cares
You Better Care Creep.
Seeing your pix shows you can never care.
Obviously not you bot
He always looked like he had a bad case of hemmoriods. He made millions while his district lived in squalor
That's a lie, why do white people have a problem with a black person having money? As many white Republicans that are millionaires you worry about black people all the time. Get a life and maybe you will make over minimum wage.
You can't hide your hatred for someone even at death? So sad that people like you still exist 💔💔😢😥😢
Ivanka and Jared just made 38 million in one year while working for the Trump in the white house, do you have a problem with that?
