The actor in the video is Peter Capaldi, the 12th Doctor Who, Lewis Capaldi's 2nd cousin once removed. Also, you probably remember the song because Daughtry sang it as the Rottweiler on the Masked Singer, which you reacted to recently.

The old man in the music video is Peter Capaldi who played Doctor Who and has played other roles in movies as well, he is actually the second cousin once removed from the guy who is singing the song Lewis Capaldi. As you can tell this is a very emotional song, the other music video version is even more riveting where it actually has him in it directly.
This reaction was the hardest to get through without breaking me down and it felt like someone stabbed me emotionally. The reason I felt that way was because of certain events that happened that are hard to get through to this day. It's just not easy.
This song breaks me up too. The first time I heard it was when my daughters and I had picked up their father's ashes and cleared out his apartment. I was trying to comfort them. This song came on and the girls were singing it and crying because they missed their dad. He died suddenly and it was a shock for them. It was the first time my middle daughter could cry after he died the week before.

Peter (the actor in the video) is Lewis' second (or third) cousin.The video/song is for organ donations. Proceeds were/went to charity.
He wrote the song about his ex paige Turley and she left him for his friend and then she went on a dating show, this is when he changed the narrative to losing his nan x

I’ve just discovered this song and I’ve been bawling my eyes out through this whole video. It hit me hard and made me realise a few things about myself and my life. Wow, literally this has changed my life in 4 minutes. A very powerful song (and video)
The song itself is beautiful. The video makes it a one in a decade work of art. Hats off to the director with the foreshadowing, the fact that the main character passed his wifes heart while he was walking in the park, the way the little girl put the heart as her mom's body. The fact that the woman who has the heart instantly lets him touch her chest to feel how strong it is and how part of his wife is still alive.

The older man is Peter Capaldi he played the Doctor in Doctor Who. Him and Lewis are cousins (like once removed or something) I love this song and that video just made it hit soooo hard. I was totes crying!

This is the first time I’ve actually listened to the lyrics. I’ve heard a couple of people sing it but just didn’t listen lyrically. I am squalling right now, typing through my tears. The video made it bitter sweet. Sad they are gone but grateful their heart is beating in someone else’s chest.

I love this video as to the other one. This song can have so many meaning, and this one is about the loss of a loved one. I love the story being told in the video. A man loses the love of his life, and through organ transplants another man didnt lose the love of his life, the mother of a child and that his wife lives on in another woman. and he goes through days just listening to his wife heartbeats. That is how he gets through each day.
Beautiful song! The first time I heard it was from the Rottweiler (Chris Daughtry) on "The Masked Singer." (I think I like Chris's version a little better.)
The other one that gets me is "Goodbyes" by Post Malone. Also try "I Wouldn't Have It Any Other Way" by Aaron Tippin if you haven't already.

I lost my dad when he was 50,same year my aunt at 54 and then the same year my husband at 35. Twelve years later I lost my Mom and her mom( my gma) 10 days apart. Thank God 9 years after my husband passed I found a wonderful man,but God knows I'm afraid of losing anyone else. I have three adult kiddos that were way too young to lose all those people too. The song itself doesn't get me as much as this video. It tears me up!!! Much love to all and please remember to tell anyone and everyone that you love that you do love them as often as possible. ❤😢😢

But this is the first time I saw the video and it made me cry more than the first time I heard it. You should listen to Finneas Break my heart again. I'm sinking a little everyday and have no one to share my sadness. No one that understands my pain with my loss. I hurt Billy. Some us just have to deal with some very deep pain along with loneliness.
