This is where I was raised. I live right through the tunnel now in Harrogate TN But I honestly thought over the years I had covered every inch of that city and I had no idea this was here. Thanks for the video I enjoyed it. I agree it definitely needs cleaned up and maintained.

Yea, I love this stuff about Bell Co. I never lived there. But, it holds some of my favorite memories. Both my parents families have cemeteries up in Chenoa. That sits between Frakes and Pine Mt. No one ever goes up there for these videos. Beautiful country up there. I use to have a ton of relatives. But they’ve long since died out. There’s a prison up there also.

Middlesboro is the biggest city in Bell County then you have Pineville which is also Bell County. It was made meteor which made a crater that Middlesboro sits in. It boarders Tennessee and Virginia and has a national park that has the Pinnacle which is the only site that you can stand on and see and be in all 3 states at one time. Middlesboro is also the home of The Six Million Dollar Man Steve Austin aka Lee Majors. The area has a rich history with settlers and Daniel Boone. The coal mine mentioned in this video is probably Bell County Coal. Also in the mountains of Middlesboro is a canon used back in Daniel Boone's time. The city is named from Middlesboro England and it was established by the English Land Company in 1880.

My grandmother was a Hill and was born and raised there. She mentioned the Ball family in some of her stories, but there are ancestors of hers that have the name of Ball, and I traced them back to Captain Ball of the Virginia 8th Regiment Continental Army and he called North Carolina home. His paternal lineage leads to an English family in Great Britain of some Nobility. Are any Campbells or Browns buried around Middlesboro??

@@denane44 Oh great! I wish I could walk it with ya. I'm 7 yrs into Parkinson's Disease, so I'd be a hindrance. But, judging by FindaGrave's pictures, it's a bowling lane cemetery with The Arch . Are there any you would like me to stomp through here, in North Alabama? I'm at the feet of the Cumberland Range. The feet of the Appalachian Range is east of me. I've been stomping thru cemeteries since I was a child, from here to your neck of the woods. We went to Cherokee & Maggie Valley every summer, Mother would always make us go to Cumberland Gap. She was born in Pennington Gap and her Father was born in Mingo Holler, Knox Co KY. It is him, Ambers Willis Engle, whose grave I am trying to find. His Death Certificate and the stories Mama told us leave us with questions. IF he is in Candle Ridge, he will be around William Martin, Ambrose Willis "Coon", Wm Henry , cousin Ted maybe. I'm sorry to write so much. I watch your brother's channel too, that's how I found you. Thanx again! Remember, if there is one I can walk for ya here, pls let me know. Your Friend and probably cousin too ! The other side of that family is buried south and east of you, Laconia to Alexandria... Odd Fellows, Free Masons, and the like. Love, Castle, Daniel, Grimm, Surnames. I can go on and on ...
