Great Video! the story explaned perfectly, so interesting to see how grease pencil grew up!
I've been loving learning how to use grease pencil, is really different from the conventional animation programms, as ofc, is based on 3d. However the modifiers are very powerful asn i love that!
Thank you @InspirationTuts! A very nice "Blender History / Grease Pencil Feature Overview" -video.
I find that, this video piqued an interest in me, to learn more about the Grease Pencil.
I sort of wished that this video had been longer and more extensive, but I'm happy with what I got.
So, after having watched this, I am in need of more links/information to/about Grease Pencil related videos, tutorials and resources.
Dear other users/viewers, I am asking rather generically, what would be your best recommendations for further Grease Pencil studies?
Great history lesson, thank you. : )
To all the People who don’t get it.. it’s described in the 3rd chapter „the beginning“ starting at minute 2:25. how is it possible to watch something with such good info and not be able to listen to it? :D
@@penewoldahh people in the comments below are complaining that they have no idea what grease pencil is and how it's used and that this video doesn't explain anythting, no idea if they're too lazy or bots or maybe haters 🥲I would imagine, anyone who opened this video would have an idea of what grease pencil is - because.. why else would anyone watch these type of things if they're not into it.. but not those people below
Nice video! I learned a lot about Grease Pencil that I didn't know. Thank you.
God, I feel like I slept on what would have been my favorite program.
Big fan of he artistic and technical creativity back when he ran pepeland
Had no idea such a thing existed
Grease Pencil would be perfect if it could import SVG without problems and if we could create tapered lines with mouse as in other 2D animation software
True art comes from pushing limitstions. The grease pencil is therefore a masterpiece of a tool
Where is the 3d scene from 0:03 from? Is it Dedouze? I would love to know the process behind it.
1st comment.....grease pencil is a game changer 🎉
A happy little accident.
One person change how create 2D art which cool story. It remind me of the flash game or the animation editor for it. I hear bad things about skillshare from other youtuber. They have shady trap for hard refund stuff.
"gweese pencil"
Great video about telling a story without telling anything about the feature in question. I still don't know what grease pencil really is and what it special about it, lol.
This video could be lasting 3 minutes maximum.
You need to watch the video again. It is all explained very clearly. The sections are even titled for you if your attention span won't stay, attentive. "Don't blame the teacher if you don't learn."
11 mins and you never told us how it works or what makes it special.. or what it is.
This video I think is more about the story than the tool itself, so I don't think the video is bad at all, in fact, it was quite enjoyable
That said, yes, I still don't know how the tool works after 11 minutes, I understand that it somehow allows you to draw 2d over 3d, and that interacts with x stuff? Somehow? Maybe? Shadows? Layers? How much does the actual grease pen from other versions?
It's a shame no tools exist to help you inform yourself. Something like...an engine, that powers...searches. Ah well, We're sure someone will make something like that someday.
Bro if u want to know how to use a grease pencil, go watch some tutorials, this video is more of a history behind how this tool is created, not how this tool works, u don't watch how newton invented gravity expecting to learn physics
Grease Pencil isn't fundamentally special, it is a tool to draw in 2d as it is explanained in the 7th minute of thee video, what makes it special is what you make out of it, at least in my.opinion
Skillshare a scam
Couldn't delete credit card information
And they tried charging me even though i cancelled before the trial ended
Plus most of those videos are trash 🗑️
the second you started the skillshare con commercial you lost me. welcome to the never again list, i use adblockers for a reason and content creators who think they can bypass them because i want to watch their content and will put up with their in vid commercials lose. never again, hope that was the goal of your commercial
Genuine question: how do you expect them to make a living? What alternatives would you be willing to pay for?
Welcome to the world as it is, and not how you impotently rage it should be. You do know that you can skip search through a video, and easily bypass the objectionable bits, yes? Instead, if you hold fast to your harrumphing policy, you will soon have no videos to watch. Perhaps you could try reading. But not magazines...too many ads you simply can't not fixate on.
Sponsorblock for sponsors. DeArrow for clickbait title and thumbnail. All crowdsource and removes all these.
Typical failure case of how not to introduce something. I've spend 10 mins watching this but still don't have the slightest idea of what grease pencil does. You will get a 0 score if this is your endterm exam.
Wow! This probably passed my way because I was searching how to make low poly tree arrays (forest) for a 3D map but you've just told me about a whole new tool I didn't know I already have. Outstanding!
Hello brian. Nice to meet ya again
