- My visit to Maco Headquarters in Toronto, Canada. This was recorded a few weeks prior to the first batch of Macaria speakers would ship to customers.
The baffle, the drivers, the crossover, the Torrefied wood, custom jumpers, custom cable harness, what a speaker!

I’m an early bird. Very excited to hearing them.
Deborah and Armando have been a pleasure to deal with. Their communication have been superb. Thoroughly nice people ❤
Awesome rundown and interview. Such cool peeps🎉. Best commercial baffle I’ve heard, hands down. 😊 That room was SUPERB, And just to think they sounded that awesome in a show room. 😮. Can’t wait to get them in for review. ❤
Nice to see a Canadian startup, with the intentions to build the best quality product possible!
To catch this point in their journey is special! Couldn't imagine how that feels. The nervousness apparent. Fruition is close and pressure will be dissipated for them into our rooms!
Oh and great job Loic on a superb production! Proud of ya bye!
Yes, They are working very hard. Great peole. Thanks for the feedback man!
I also wish them all the best and great success. For their nervousness, it's the possibility of mental and physical stress, due to the nature is of starting a business. It's beyond 24/7 determination, because if YOU SNOOZE, YOU LOOSE !
I really want to be able to listen them in the near future. Your discussion around the 32 minute mark about setting up listening rooms in the US is a very good move. I can't afford to purchase them without listening to them first, so this is an important step.
I was in the 40% early program; I passed as not able to hear these.
I was able to hear at Axpona. Wow. No really. Wow.
I visited their studio. Great people, highly professional. It remind me of Boenicke from Switzerland.
I really hope these two make it and do well. They appear to have developed a really good product and care about delivering great value. I can't imagine how much stress they are under funding all the startup costs and still not shipping.
Gershman Acoustics got through this and have done well operating out of Toronto. I wish this pair the same success and more. I think their speakers are a great value proposition. If I were buying speakers, I'd go straight to them for a demo.
Love this conversation, you asked all of the relevant questions and gave us a perfect insight into this passionate couple and amazing product. Kudos to all involved! Cant wait to hear a pair
You really did a service for these good people. Made in N. America!
Great job showcasing a pair of great speakers. One of my favorite, if not my favorite from Axpona
Eddie Bravo!
Thanks for sharing a very informative session. Congrats and all the best.
wow, really cool ! ❤😂
I’m just north of Portland. I need this info. ❤❤
Thanks for sharing. Very cool content.
Thanks for the feedback!
PfffffAAHAHA I'm just now watching this video the whole way through. ICE CRRAAAAAAAEEEEEEEM! 🤣
In all seriousness, this video had to happen and I'm glad it did. With all the video coverage I've seen on the Macarias, Hi-Fi Cave and Audiophile Junkie have been the only 2 channels I've seen to dive into the history of the speakers and how they were made, what was done, how stuff happened, etc.
Trust me, people are going to be fine if the wait is a bit longer than expected. The Decware waiting list is like 4 years long now, and people atill add their names.
Very well done video =)
Thank you. My most fun to make yet.
Loic thank you for the informative and telling glimpse into the Maco operation and characters behind and at heart of it! It’s appreciated. Were you referring to the Willsenton r300 in the discussion? You said Wilson and your transcript read Wilson but I’m not familiar with a Wilson r300. Would you be so kind as to clarify? Thank you!
Wilsenton r300. As the most budget freindly amp tried with the speakers.
@@hificave Thank You for this content. As an owner of the R300, you are aware the Willsenton R300 and Plus has design issues? Red plating tubes, 4 or 5 different power supply boards and Output Transformers that measure nasty.
@@joenovak6393 I was not aware. Thanks for the info.
Finally!
I know right!
Hello Loic, thanks for tour us, so.. what is the real deference between Maco speakers and Lii song? thank you.
Liisong, is a driver manufacturer. Similar to a company like scanspeak which is used in speakers like Magico. So, Maco contracts liisong to build drivers to their specs, these drivers are specific to Maco and are not available to buy from liisong by you or I. The top driver looks similar to the liisong f15, but the Maco driver costs much more.
So bummed you could not meet up with Mr. Jay Lee!
He never answered me.
In regards to open baffle, have you listened to any of the Pure Audio Projects speakers (with Voxativ driver)? If so, how would you compare their sound to Macarias? I am thinking of purchasing both brands, just wondering if each brings a different sound experience to the table.
Yes, also great speakers and good people. It would be a matter of personal preference really. Cant go wrong.
Canada - What does dr Floyd Toole say ?
Fascinating man.
I hear they are quite a few problems with the Maco company, basically a couple that tries to go commercial, but it's not that easy, they lack professionalism, product and customer service is mega dodgy. Loic, maybe you can help them to overcome their start up issues.
You hear? Lol Not sure where your claims of lack of pressionalism comes from. And dodgy? Their first product is about to ship so nobody has had experience with their product yet, so whats dodgy? What are your claims based on, a CZcams comment?
I entertained one individual who claimed to have been mistreated by them, and I then saw all the emails between this person and Maco, and this was nothing more then an individual crying because he wanted his 40% after the special was over and was no longer applicable. No issue with Maco. Great people.
