Why are you taking a bit of the coffee grounds out every time you dose the coffee?
✨ The coffee recipe requires 23gr dose of the coffee ground, and most of the time, the grinder is being inaccurate, either giving me too much or too little, so I have to scoop it out :)

✨ You have to obtain a visa that allows you to come, stay & work in here first, then you can apply for a Barista job. Most people from other countries (I was too) use Work & Holiday Visa.

Wow I just came across this Channel just now and heard my name at 0:38 :). Love the batch brew that is made at this cafe, and am certainly missing my daily cup but hopefully returning to the office in the near future. With the overheating, it could be that it shuts off to protect it from overheatin if shooting in 4k

I'd really appreciate if you make the splitting the milk video. I actually already know the logic behind it but in practice I still split it wrongly cuz I cant really see what is the perfect foam amount.

This is fantastic. Makes me think there should be a barista team championship. Two person and 4 person teams. Like Bobsled in the Olympics. Your entire crew is fantastic. I would be curious how many KG of coffee you go through in a day. Looks like about 15 per day.

i have a small question, i'm a new barista, yesterday my friend taught me about brew ratio,
and the cafe that i'm working at right now uses a double spout portafilter,
does it mean i put two glass below it, or just one?
and if i want to have a brew ratio of 1:2, with a starting dose of 20 grams of ground coffee,
does it mean i should extract 40 grams of espresso on each glass (assuming there's two glass beneath it)
or should i extract 20 grams on each glass?
When you put a scale underneath the cups while you extract your coffee, it will count how much liquid out of the spout, and that’s what you want to focus on.. No matter how many cups you put underneath there 1 or 2, if you extracted 20grams of coffee ground in, then the total liquid out should be 40 grams :)
