- For this video I'll be comparing Walt Disney World's two Orlando water parks: Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach. It'll start with attraction tours of both parks, before I make comparisons.

Yes both are great. However Typhoon Lagoon is our preference. First because of the surf/wave pool, awesome! Second because of the sand beach. We could spend all day here. Blizzard Beach is probably better for the teen set with all the great slides. Good vid, thank you.

The jet pressure on Summit Plummet at Blizzard Beach left me with back pain for 2 days. But I did ride it 6 times in about 2 hours.

Loved the snow theming of Blizzard Beach. Think it was because it was the first one I went to, and the fact my only previous experience of water parks was Waterwold in Stoke-on-Trent, why it was my favourite of the Disney water parks, and the fact that there was a wasp infestation in the drinks machine and a snake on the loose when I went to Typhoon Lagoon

I've always enjoyed Aquatica as my favorite Waterpark, then Adventure Island. Typhoon Lagoon seems like a must visit park.

Very solid review of the Disney waterparks,you truly cant say one is better than the other,it depends on what youre looking for and I agree with you that Typhoon is slightly better overall due to the theming and amount of trees.If what you want are thrilling slides Blizzard beach is clearly better as well as for kids.I cant talk much about food as I rarely eat at these parks but in the 90s I ate a burger at Blizzard beach that I still talk about today as it was the worst burger Ive ever had,it was a cold black hockey puck,I still cant believe how bad it was.
This is an excellent video, with concise and clear information, if there was anything I would suggest, it would be to perhaps increase the volume of your voice as opposed to the music, because I find it a bit hard to hear your voice over the music in the background. Otherwise excellent video like I said. This video really helped me in deciding which waterpark I should go to.

Can't believe the only water park I've been to in Orlando was Wet and Wild which doesn't even exist anymore. I need to go to all of them in Orlando asap.
Reviews on channel are spot on. Typhoon lagoon has something for everyone approach while blizzard beach is more intense slide oriented. If your looking to relax blizzard is out

Another great vlog! Typhoon Lagoon totally ruined my swimsuit after I was violently dragged along the wave pool floor lol. For anyone over 12 though I'd skip both of these and just go to Volcano Bay

The white (snow ❄️) at Blizzard Beachakes it hotter and blinding at time with the sun hitting the snow and binding you, at least it did for me

As good as both Water Parks are, we all know Volcano Bay is the best Water Park in the area, Better theming, thrills, food and most importantly, it’s cheaper.

Volcano bay is more expensive than blizzard beach
Aquatica is $40 and you can do all day dining for an additional $30.
It is faaaaaar from cheap! 150plus a day during high season
Both water parks look fun but if I had to choose one to go to for the first time, it would be typhoon lagoon. The wave pool there looks like so much fun!

I went to both and I would say typhoon lagoon is a 2/10 it was dull but blizzard beach 15/10 so fun and gave me a doughnut the size of my head

Hi Shaun, appreciate that! Yeah it’s really tricky, but I would guess that late August/September is when we might see flights, possibly sooner. The number of cases etc are continuing to fall quite substantially. It is possible though that due to variants they decide they don’t want people travelling in summer holidays, and so might delay flights until September. Who knows, but I’m optimistic. Hope you have an awesome trip, hopefully in September 🤞

One thing I don’t like about typhoon is that it can pull you in. I was only little when this happened: I was just playing in the water like a normal person and then after a wave, it pulled me in closer so I held onto the wall, which the employees didn’t like me doing for some reason, and I worked my way back to the sand

I definitely agree with you. The theming of Blizzard Beach is a bit jarring, so I prefer the atmosphere of Typhoon Lagoon.

I like to do the blizzard beach because it will be a lot fun
would this water park be ok for the month of December? Not too cold? I was in Orlando and the temp was around 70s. It so fun to watch and I really want to take my kids in December again.
It depends how sensitive you are to the temperature. Us brits don’t care. There will be some days in the winter when the water parks will close due to cold weather.

Are you able to take your 1 year old on the family slides? At either park? I’d also assume I can hold my 1 year old in either lazy river?
Typhoon Lagoon has been closed for over a year and the water has turned green with algae. Will it go the way of River Country?
I’d be surprised if they get rid of it to be honest. Blizzard Beach would be far too busy outside of the pandemic.

Hey FB , can again comment on videos 😀. Slick , fair and correct conclusion . Typhoon lagoon best for Disney water park. Blizzard beach all a bit dated for me . However with everything Disney everyone should go to ALL parts a least once ( make your own mind up ) .
Fair and impartial balance between the reviews . Content great as always . If really honest unless you are an absolute Disney fanatic better water parks are available Volcano Bay and Aquatica . But that’s just my view .

I think Volcano Bay overall is the better water park, but does have some issues.

Not only do Disney need to get Typhoon Lagoon open again but its high time they built a 3rd water park, we are long overdue. Also think they need a 5th theme park as well. The competition are really catching up and it feels like Disney are no longer expanding in Florida like they used to. What was it, 1995 for Blizzard Beach and 1998 for Animal Kingdom? It's been 23 years since a new park opened!
100% agree. Feels like they’re going to continue to lose market share to Universal unless they invest in a 5th gate. I would love them to do an ancient history park: Egypt, Rome, Greece, Prehistory (dinosaurs) etc.

Visited these parks in 1995, sure there's some new attractions but i dont think they've changed massively really. One day i hope to visit again, its just too £££ thesedays or $$$

Typhoon lagoon wave pool has an extremely rough bottom and the waves WILL knock you down! Be warned you will get scraped up. I much prefer Blizzard Beach, although Summit Plummit will give you the mother of all wedgies!!! it is great fun. The family slide is also great fun. Blizzard Beach is the way to go. Universal recently opened up a water park but I have yet to visit there.
If you're a stronger swimmer, you need to go deeper for the large waves and you can choose to "ride over" them, or get tossed "in" it. You'll never touch the ground if you're in the deeper water. Far superior pool, imo. If you don't like the larger surf wave; the bobbing waves alternate throughout the first 1/2 of the day :).

as someone who pretty much only went to blizzard beach as a kid, i have to say that typhoon lagoon is better. i like the theme more, the food more, and when they had it, swimming with sharks was pretty dang cool. blizzard beach, since it's covered in white, it's really noticeable when things get a bit mucky and dirty from age and use. i am also a bit biased, since it rained pretty much every single time we went to blizzard beach, whereas it was always sunny days at typhoon lagoon, and as someone who lives near ski areas, tropical is far more desirable a theme, haha
Totally agree, tropical theme is much more satisfying. I was the opposite as we only did TL when I was a kid, likely one of the reasons I prefer it.
