- I finally got to go a TAC event and it did not disappoint. Sure, I lost a lot of arrows, and was exhausted every day but it's exactly what I needed to identify my strengths and weaknesses. Hope you enjoy watching the course as much as I enjoyed shooting it.
Just a bit of advice, set you bow to your rangefinder. That way it doesn't matter what other rangefinders say, your bow is set to your rangefinder regardless of the distance. I would sometimes show 1-2 yards short of others in our group but would always hit according to mine. Great vid...

Looks like you two had a blast slinging sticks. Those crazy ass long shots are ridiculous as far as real practice for hunting scenarios. But, one can learn real fast wether their form and release technique is worth a crap. Punching the ol' thumb button or hammering that trigger AINT GETIN' IT one will find out. As I've watched many videos of shooters at TAC and been at TAC, 99% of them do not use a release correctly for whatever stupid reason. People. You can't punch any release and expect repeatable results. But, it sure looks like a great place there. 👍👍🏹🎯🎯🎯🎯
@27:39 train with your equipment, trust your equipment. We had a guy in our group that was all over the place going off our ranges. When he finally pulled his r.f. out he started banging foam.

I agree.... but I was not trusting my r.f. bc it had failed to give me accurate distances a few times. In open areas, it's dead on accurate but it struggled to get through the small areas where leaves and grass might be in the way.
Thanks for the start to finish. Like you said other vids don’t break it down the way you did; for this one it found the right person. I’am going to my first TAC in a week. I will be carrying plenty of arrows.

Glad ya'll had a great time. I passed Ya'll going in, as i was coming out. i went thru alot of arrows as well and had a blast doing it.
i was only able to shoot two days but, next year will make plans for the whole thing for sure, and I'll bring PLENTY of Arrows.
Hopefully we'll run into each other next year.
Hey..which bow are you shooting. Looks like mine ..I shoot a Mathews V3 27 stone color, Trophy Ridge React V5 site with Trophy Hex light Quiver, QAD Ultra rest HDX ..limb legs, shooting FMJ'S 340'S..LOVEyour Trophy Ridge digital site. This bow is definitely a tack driver.
Nice. I'm shooting the V3 31 (turned down to 60# for target but at 75# for hunting season), Mathews ultrarest integrate mx, Digital React Pro 1 pin, hex light quiver, UV grip, limb legs, Sunya Expedition V2 sling and shooting the Victory 3DHV's for TAC.
@@HoldunReed yes I also use Beereal grip,, Shrewd Atlas side bar with DeadCenter Verge front and side stabilizers, Hamskea peep. Bowmar Nose button, A3 Archery Bloodline bowstring, LOC Outdoors dlx sling and I also target with 60lb. Mods giving me 62lbs. limb bolts maxed and for hunting 65lb mods and 67 lbs with limb bolts maxed. But for hunting I only whitetail 🦌 deer hunt. Thanks for responding...enjoyed your video.

Great vid. I"m heading to my first TAC at 7 Springs. Are there any must haves or don"t bother bringing items that you might change for next time?
Great question. I'd say half of the "extra" stuff we packed is probably personal preference. I will say that a good arrow puller and bug spray definitely came in handy. My best friend was glad I packed Dude Wipes the day he came. LOL. Teresa didn't think shed like/use the chair backpack but she ended up packing it all 3 days and it absolutely came in handy for her. Depends on how many days you go and how good of an archer you are but I went through 14 arrows, so maybe make sure you have plenty of those.

I don't mind... it was a truck fire from when I was in college. Wasn't military related, but was after I got back untouched from a tour in Iraq. 😅
