The Gurukul was a type of school in ancient education system. The gurukul system is an ancient learning method. Gurukulam has existed since the vedic age. Their main motto is to develop the knowledge and they were highly focused on education.
The education system which was evolved first in ancient India is known as the Vedic system of education. In other words, the ancient system of education were based on the Vedas and therefore it was given the name of Vedic Educational System. Vedas occupy a very important place in the Indian life
ಗುರುಕುಲ ಅಥವಾ ಗುರುಕುಲಂ (ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ: गुरुकुल, ರೋಮಾನೈಸ್ಡ್: ಗುರುಕುಲ) ಎಂಬುದು ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ರೀತಿಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಶಿಷ್ಯ ('ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು' ಅಥವಾ 'ಶಿಷ್ಯರು') ಗುರುಗಳ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಅಥವಾ ಅದೇ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ... ಆಧುನಿಕ ಗುರುಗಳು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವ ವಸತಿ ಮಠಗಳು ಅಥವಾ ಶಾಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಲು ಈ ಪದವನ್ನು ಇಂದು ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಗುರುಕುಲ್ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ರೀತಿಯ ಶಾಲೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಗುರುಕುಲ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯು ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಕಲಿಕೆಯ ವಿಧಾನವಾಗಿದೆ. ವೈದಿಕ ಕಾಲದಿಂದಲೂ ಗುರುಕುಲಂ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಅವರ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಧ್ಯೇಯವೆಂದರೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಗಮನಹರಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲು ವಿಕಸನಗೊಂಡ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ವೈದಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಬೇರೆ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳುವುದಾದರೆ, ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯು ವೇದಗಳನ್ನು ಆಧರಿಸಿತ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವೈದಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಭಾರತೀಯ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ವೇದಗಳು ಬಹಳ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿವೆ
