I made pellets from sawdust with the same mold. My mold is made of grain, for which the conicity of the holes is deeper. From what I've seen on others, the taper of the sawdust dies is smaller. If the conicity is too large, then the pellets come out of the mold too quickly and do not bond very well.

Usé una polea de una cosechadora de granos. El motor tiene 4 kw a 3000 rpm. En esta configuración, funciona bien para fabricar pellets de comida para animales. Para hacer pellets de fuego, modifiqué la máquina de pellets. Reduje la velocidad de rotación del molde con la ayuda de un grupo reductor y poleas y utilicé un motor de 7,5 kw y 1500 rpm. Quiero hacer unas pruebas con un molde con agujeros de 6 mm. Para más detalles tengo vídeos con la evolución del proyecto.

Hello. You have to take into account several variables when building a pellet machine. It matters the diameter of the mold, the rotation speed of the mold and what kind of pellets you want to make (cereal pellets, plant residues or sawdust pellets). I tried several options and came to the conclusion that for a mold of 260 mm diameter, a rotation speed of the mold between 100 and 250 rpm is needed. And a three-phase motor of at least 7.5 kw is required.

The gear box ring teeth is 49 tail pinion teeth 9. 5.4 Ratio . I used 1450 rpm single phase motor . I will make gearbox conection direct with shaft in motor.How rpm is machine exax please ? my village is rular there is not 3phase only single phase.The motor is single phase 3hp 1450rpm.The pellet machine is work single phase not work? plese give me method 4 mm diy is drill hole.Bye
@@thapamahesh8993 You must use a small pulley on the motor and a very large pulley connected to the gear reducer. The large and small pulley has the role of speed reducer and thus the power of the engine will increase. For a 3 kw single-phase motor, I think the mold diameter should be much smaller, maybe 125mm. I think you should see the specifications of a granulator that has a 3 kw motor installed.
Salut. Am facut doar cateva probe cu aceasta presa pentru peleti. Pana acuma totul este ok. Mai trebuie sa imi fac un tocator de paie si dupa aceea o sa incep sa fac mai multi peleti.
@@GheorgheBogdanEugen poate ca ai dat gaura prea mare prin axul cu rulmenti. Daca nu rezista atunci o sa fac un ax mai gros cu alt model de rulmenti. Am vazut role facute cu rulmenti conici.

@@DorelBorlea am schimbat o grămadă de rulmenți se înfierbântă dispare vaselina și crapă mă gândesc să schimb tipul de rulmenți
Daca nu vor tine rulmentii atunci o sa gauresc axul si o sa pun gresoare, astfel incat sa gresez rulmentii odata la cateva ore de functionare.
