    Your explanation is very thorough. I like the way you think- I have been watching lots of videos but your measuring, planning & attention to detail are what I was looking for. Now I have more confidence to make a multi signature journal. Thank you! 🙏

    Thank you for telling how to cut the chip board. Almost everyone says "cut your chipboard to such and such", stops the camera, and comes back with the cut pieces. You are the first I've heard tell how to cut it! :D

    Thank you so much for this very good example. I’m struggling with getting the spine in place with gloopy glue. I will give this way a try. I have my first ever two orders and so they need to be done very well. Best regards from South Africa 🇿🇦 you make perfect books ⭐️

    Great video. I wonder if you paint, as the way you brushed the glue in hinted that you may,

      Thank you! Not much painting, occasionally varnishing furniture though.

    I tried 1/4 in between spine and cover and now I have decided to completely make another cover. The Jj cover does not open and close freely. Now do not know how much space to leave

    How do you keep the paper from cracking on the outside and buckling on the inside once you close it? I’ve used this method several times over the years and always have that problem. TFS

      Monica Snow I read somewhere if you wipe the area where you are going to fold with a baby wipe it won’t crack but I haven’t tried it. I don’t have a scoring board so I gently start folding around a ruler a bit at a time and it seems to work.

    Do you ever just eyeball it and cut?

    • @CompassInk
      @CompassInk  Před 2 lety

      Yes definitely. Especially if its just for me and I'm not planning to give it away or sell it.
