there are alot of custom binds other people recommend but these are the only 2 i use:
zoom bind: bind c "graphics.fov 70;graphics.fov 90"
combatlog bind: bind f2 consoletoggle;combatlog
i recommend looking for other binds you might find helpful.

Use ultra grafics quality, it makes a small difference in fps and your game won't look like shit
when i have it on i get MAD fps drops i think its just my 2060 and crappy cpu but idk

Ultra quality is cool if you have a lot of vram. Have to stay at High, because 6gb isn't enough for anything higher and the game starts lagging too much. Otherwise you have a point.

It forces the game to launch in fullscreen exclusive which gives less input delay on stretch res
I couldn't get stretch res? it wasn't letting me adjust it, is there a way to get it to let me change it?
Go to nvidia settings/windows setting and add manually stretched 1440x1080

maybe you are bottlenecked on allocated ram to the game. I have 32gb ram and allowed rust to utilize 26gb through steam launch options - it now utilizes around 19gb of ram max for me with a lot of headroom therefor no ram size bottleneck

Hey I have a problem and I hope you know the solution, so today I was playing rust but my fps kept going up and down 40 to 20 to 18 to back up 70 80 then back 20, do you know what I can do with this that I have a high fps and its stable.
dunno lad, some servers have bad fps in some areas but also could just be your pc. sorry mate i dont know how to help.

More fps, less input delay, visually bigger player models and some people come from games like csgo so they are just used to it

It wont look exactly the same as the video because digital vibrance doesnt show when recording so i use obs filters to make it look similar

Right click rust in steam library and go to properties then in general there should be a text box to put launch options

I got low sens from playing csgo and i just never changed because im used to it. use whatever is most comfortable
when I play stretched (1440x1080) the map becomes unreadable I literally can not tell what letter or number it is how do I fix this? I played stretched mid 2023 just fine but even if I put my quality from potato to ultra I still have a low quality map on stretched

@@cryptorust5 all good I reinstalled my nvidia drivers recently so ill test again and see if its fixed weird problem I have never heard of anyone with it
I had a look and antialiasing might be the issue if you have it turned on
@@cryptorust5 nah I dont have antialiasing on but it seems to have fixed there was probably some random setting that was changed before I reinstalled my drivers, thanks for the help though now I can play stretched again

Not sure if you cant run it with these settings then you can lower render distance and maybe go to a lower resolution i heard 1280x1080 is good and if it cant run that then idk

@@JustZiqoh i just use Logitech gpro superlight for my mouse its pretty good but its expensive. And for keyboard i use some old razer keyboard ive had for like 6 years but i wouldnt recommend it so im not too sure what to recommend for keyboards.

Have you ever tried higher dpi? I'm pretty sure it's been proven that higher dpi (sweet spot ~1600) has less input latency.

Recently i just upped my dpi to 800 and sens to 0.36 and its been very good 😀
It doesn't really have better latency. But it does give you more precision in your aim. I would argue that 1600dpi is pushing the boundaries and you really shouldn't go above 1200dpi, otherwise the precision becomes so high it hurts you. At the same time there is no reason going lower than ~600dpi, because it gets too imprecise then.
