As a 3.5 player, all of your videos are perfect for me, as they set that standard as to what I need to improve on, while making it reachable for someone whose looking to improve a bit but obviously not pro level. So many pickle youtubes are beginner or basic level, and i think you do the best at explaining the next level as to how and why shots are made or missed. I could watch the commentary of your matches all day.

This is a terrific video with in-depth analysis of the “modern” game. Controlled aggression, applying constant pressure at the kitchen, and the ability to go from offense to defense and vice versa. Awesome John!

I watch a lot of pickleball 'advice' videos but have to say this is the best one I have watched in terms of tactics and examining points for lessons learned. Very clear explanations, and excellent shots to use as exemplars. Incredibly practical and useful comments that will help someone else analyse their game and improve. (Too many of the 'celebrity' videos - McGuffin, looking at you - have a lot of waffle and seem to be about the person and not the play itself. Love to see more of these John.

Yeah, both commenters above are exactly correct. Usually the highlights end up being the faster points. Also like Jacob said. In practice everyone is a little less disciplined about when we’ll pull the trigger.

That’s a great idea. I think I’ll start doing that where I record some of my students game at different levels and then comment on them and what I see happening.
