We rode the trails east of camp where we checked out a cool spot down at the creek.

Been watching your channel off and on for several years. In my honest opinion, it would be a nice addition to see some camp side film. Campfire, cooking, and just some good ole camping fun!

We are a boondocking family, well just me and my wife now. We rode Grizzlies for several years but now enjoy the trails in a 2021 Can Am Maverick trail 1000 dps. We will be up near South fork colorado late August with our usual boondocking buds for 2 weeks, come on up and join us.
I posted the comment on the last video before I saw the torn boot. What a bummer! I tore one on my 2021 about six months ago. I ended up just replacing the whole thing with an East Lake axle for the time being. I have the new boots sitting on my work bench to redo the stock axle as I'm sure it is better than the East Lake, and, that way I'll have a spare! Sounds like a good winter project (which I'll prob do with some tips from your boot change video!). I have, however, put about 500 miles on the East Lake and it has been just fine.
I love all the water and creek crossing yinz have down there.

Yeah, I could’ve just replace the whole axle, but figured I would just keep everything original. They seem to hold out really well.

Hey kc what i do for rip boot if catch it before in mud wash out bearings is clean grease off hub end so real clean .
Then clean axle past boot dont worry to much about some grease on middle boot. I carry roll good quality duct tape & about 3 ft cling wrap / saran wrap in a ziplock bag all folded nice .
Wrap part the hub with cling wrap around boot to just past on axle . Once couple wraps the cling wrap then start on clean part hub with duct tape all way across boot to axle so duct tape on clean axle .
Few layers duct tape over the cling wrap will last all day save your bearings and hub only later needing to put new boot 👍 done this before myself
Hey Norm, I like that idea of that clinging saran wrap.
I didn’t have any with me, but I bet that would work kind of seal it up before wrapping it with duct tape.
Also make it so the duct tape would have a dry surface to stick to because it was all greasy. Anyways, I’ll have to inspect the joint to see if it needs replaced as well as the boot when I take it apart.

There's something i just realized. In all your videos, the trails seem to be very clean. By that i mean no garbage. Most places i ride you'll see beer cans or car wrecks or something. But you guys keep em looking good! Koodos!

Hey Scotian, didn’t really think there was much I could do about the CV boot. Thought about duck tape, but figured It would just fly off and be Slapping! LOL
It made it through the day.
I’ll do a video on replacing it. I need to inspect the joint see if it shows signs where may have to replace the joint as well as the boot.
Yeah, I need to do a video on the trailer have had lots of folks ask for that.

Awesome ride! But man that is a bummer you had to ride with a torn CV boot. I had to laugh when you said okay guys this is what I did, nothing lol! That spot down by the creek was awesome. That rock had to be eroded a long time to look like that. Have a great weekend. Can’t wait for the next one.

Love your videos keep them coming.. I would really like to ride with you guys sometime.. not sure where abouts your from but I'm from Iowa. Just last weekend 6/3/23 we went to a place in Kansas called tuttle creek. Place was free to ride had alot of rock crawling stuff for jeeps but alot of area to ride atvs. Think there is like 302 Acres. Had some great timber riding but there are alot of mud holes lol and I have a problem where I just send it lol. Hopefully someday we could meet take care and stay safe out there

Getting out of 4 wheeling had a accident on the blue loop and that done it for me ( 7 broke ribs ) 2007 Grizzly 700 with 09 motor and a extra rolling frame . Give me a holler if you or someone you know is interested. Be safe out their .

@@kcatv9556 Long story short ... I lost the bolts on a front caliper on my pickup on the hwy. Was able to get new ones, but I also picked up a spare set to carry with me. I guess only so much crap one can carry.

Man that stinks about the CV boot. Those trails you guys took looked like it was our style. I think we're gonna go back to the mulberry area next. We're overdue for a visit. That guy standing there watching you guys really freaked me out. He looked mad, like you guys messed up his hunting or something, although I can't think of a single thing in season right now? Weird! Maybe it was still early enough for spring turkey season? I remember that last video you posted going to that area with the little cave section. We tried to hit that trail a month later from the north side and it was gated. We were furious. Great ride man, thanks for taking us along!
Hey buddy, yeah, the guy in the truck I didn’t even notice there was a guy standing there when we turn down to that trail. When I was editing the video, that’s when I noticed him? I like WTH?

We had just rolled up there and turn down the trail.
Where we turned and went into that trail is the trail that is gated off on the other end.
I didn’t show it in the video, but we pulled up to the backside of that gate and made our way down through the woods and came out onto the road ,
So if you want to run that trail, just go into it right there where the truck was parked.
The trail where the truck was parked. If you go south it comes out down on 215 east of Byrds

Hey buddy, yeah, didn’t figure there was much I could do with the CB boot. It was all greasy anyways, I didn’t feel like touching it. LOL
The guy standing by the truck, be honest with you I didn’t even know there was a guy standing there with that truck,
When got home and was doing the editing I noticed he was standing there? LOL
We just buzzed by that spot and headed down the trail really never gave that truck much thought.

Mosquitoes and bugs are not really too bad during the summer bug spray does a good job keeping them off of ya.

Hey man when the cv boot rips again wrap it with duck tape, I had to do it on my car bc the bc axle was back ordered and it lasted months like that, it’s not a permanent fix but it will last a while
Hey Javier, that’s exactly what I was thinking about doing that morning.
I didn’t do it cause the boot was so covered in grease and was gonna be very difficult to wrap it with tape not really good access. then I thought if the tape come loose, it would be slapping around haha LOL

@@kcatv9556 ah ok! I sprayed mine with brake clean to get the majority of the grease off but I understand you were out on the trail so I am assuming you didn’t have any break clean.

Is there a standard reinforced under carnage on your quad or did you put on on there ? With those boulders you went over I was thinking how you kept from tearing the bottom up. Great video ! Have a blessed day !

We’ve been to Mulberry several times and all over east side of 23 and north of 215. Where is that washout at? Heading there later this month and might try to find it.

The only way to run that trail is turned and go in right where that truck was parked.
That trail is just east of birds and you go north of 215 up into the trail system then you’ll take a right, right there where that truck was. The other end of that trail is actually closed gated off we had to make our way down through the woods to come out onto the road.
I didn’t show any of that in the video.

I'm thinking about getting a Grizzly 700, How many miles can you go on a tank? Can you ride all day on a single tank? I know it depends on how you ride but just generally speaking.
Hi there, you can go a little over 100 miles on a tank full. We’ve done 95 mile rides in a day and still had a little fuel left over. Of course that depends on how you ride but in general that’s the mileage I’ve seen out of the grizzly.

Unless the vehicle is only used for farming at slow pase (16 years old)
He was actually on a Polaris 450 not a big bore machine. Yes very lenient here in the US on restrictions for.ATV’s
