I've always answered the hypocrisy statement with something along the lines of: "If you aren't a hypocrite, then your goals and your morality aren't high enough, and more than likely you keep it down to ensure that 'I'm not a hypocrite' while missing the opportunity to strive for so much more."

My grandparents believe in their own righteousness which is why I was turned off by Christianity in the first place. Hypocrites, in my mind, believe it's what they do that saves them and not what Jesus Christ did.
I often have the problem of thinking I can't come to Jesus unless I stop sinning first, but it's not what He taught. He came as a Doctor to heal the sick. I don't know necessarily if it's my own stubbornness and perfectionism getting in the way but i really need to do more.
Jesus Christ is clear that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". He didn't come to save the "perfect", who are actually hypocrites that don't understand their own need of Christ. Rather He came to save the lost, the sinners who need God's forgiveness. When you attempt to be perfect, it is an insult to God. By yourself, you can't be without sin. I have yet to meet any Christian without sin. Even Frank will tell you he sins. Christ's perfection is to show us our unworthiness...not how good we are. The law's purpose is to judge and condemn, but Jesus Christ has come to save us from the righteous judgment we deserve. Accept Christ before it is too late, let him change you. He will.

The problem is that in church many believe that they are not hypocrites. Look at how they treat the waiter or waitress in a restaurant or someone who works in grocery store. They treat them like garbage right after church all because they have money in their pockets and they think it's ok.
Yes indeed. The grace for holy living has been given and we must assert and embrace this possibility rather than treat it as an ever moving target. What makes a sinner a sinner, is the absence of the Holy Spirit. Christians may not be perfect as Jesus, but their imperfect attempts at holy living must not be equated with rebellious sinners who are do not recieve Christ. This being said, Christians who recieve Jesus as Lord and saviour are not to invite sinners based on some common grounds between them, but they are to invite sinners by demonstrating the power of the gospel that is able able save and transform men. Finally, a saved convert ought to move from the initial salvation to the progressive sanctification stage- this is how holiness becomes possible like men whom the Bible said walked perfect before God (Romans 12:1-2, John 1:12-13, 1 John 3:8-10)

This line of thinking kept me indulging in my sin for years. Why does Jesus command, "be PERFECT" as your heavenly father is perfect."? True, the wheat doesn't become something more until after the harvest but controlling desire is the exercise we are here for. Out of Gods great love he allows us to suffer and be tempted for just this reason. How can God put his name on you if you are not one, in complete obedience? One heart, mind, purpose, one name. I think the one of the biggest things that helped me to understand religion was realizing every person around me who says that they’re a Christian is lying to me and themselves. Dr Frank let me preface by saying I was baptized as a baby Roman Catholic went to catholic school through high school... felt I had a calling and wanted to be a nun for years till I became a teenager then I got so freaked out about what they were teaching I bounced because if felt wrong. The church is also a hospital for saints, because Saints can and do sometimes get hurt, as well. Jesus said “it’s necessary that offenses come, but woe to them by whom they come”. Saints will get hurt, mostly by people they love and fellowship with. David said of Ahithophel, “if it were from my enemy I could have born it, but it (the hurt) cane from my close companion”. So, yes, it’s certainly a “hospital for sinners”, but it’s for saints, as well. It’s not like saints never need healing. I’m not referring to natural healing in this instance, I’m referring to healing from hurts that will inevitably come.

I've always answered the hypocrisy statement with something along the lines of: "If you aren't a hypocrite, then your goals and your morality aren't high enough, and more than likely you keep it down to ensure that 'I'm not a hypocrite' while missing the opportunity to strive for so much more."

Jesus Christ is clear that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". He didn't come to save the "perfect", who are actually hypocrites that don't understand their own need of Christ. Rather He came to save the lost, the sinners who need God's forgiveness.
When you attempt to be perfect, it is an insult to God. By yourself, you can't be without sin. I have yet to meet any Christian without sin. Even Frank will tell you he sins. Christ's perfection is to show us our unworthiness...not how good we are. The law's purpose is to judge and condemn, but Jesus Christ has come to save us from the righteous judgment we deserve.

To reveal which of us even had a chance. We are quick to drink the blood but slow to eat the flesh and the lord says you must do both. How can you live if you haven't died, inside and out. Yes his blood covers us but it is the spirit that seals us. It's hard to carry the Spirit walking in sin. It's difficult. Make Jesus words yours and you will carry the most holy spirit of God. He will eat the oil and drink the water but he won't consume them mixed. This is why transfiguration is required. When you begin to realize there is no such thing as sin yet desire not sin you are getting close. To judge any is to judge God and yourself for all is from God. HE KNOWS THE PLANS HE HAS FOR YOU. FOR GOID NOT EVIL,. They are God's plans. Not yours. But you must surrender to find out what they are. You life is not yours. The only evil or sin that exists is found in our separating ourself from God. All is one. Amend your life for the kingdom of God is at hand. Seek the lord while he can still be found.

To this day I’ve haven’t yet met somebody in person who is confident that they have a personal relationship with god. Extremely sobering and allows you to read the Bible with fresh eyes

Dr Frank let me preface by saying I was baptized as a baby Roman Catholic went to catholic school through high school... felt I had a calling and wanted to be a nun for years till I became a teenager then I got so freaked out about what they were teaching I bounced because if felt wrong. I am a TRUE BELIEVER IN YAH and the Holy Trinity and in fact am re-reading the Bible out loud to my 95 year old Roman Catholic mother trying to get her to hear real truth in her ears before she hits true kingdom. I still can't wrap my head around the age of the earth - billions of years old - dinosaurs etc - and then the theory of evolution HOW does it jive with our story of creation. I always say we don't know how long Gods "days were" but am I right or help me understand I am studying hard and would like some help ❤
