Dave lumbardo is a beast on drums.
I think Dave is the best metal drummer.
*Lombardo
Dave Lamborghini
*Malnatti
@dillonsronce2583 That's a subjective take but he's definitely objectively one of the greats
A few months ago I was drinking beer and building horsepower in the garage listening to Slayer. I guess it was too loud for one of my neighbors three blocks away so the cops came. And arrested that neighbor.
Great Cops...😂😂😂. I listen to Slayer and build horsepower in my garage also and so does my neighbor.
When I listen to Slayer, everyone listens to Slayer.
For poor taste no doubt
One of Slayer's most accessible songs for me. Will never get old. Great reaction.
Hello mr. Eastwood😌
I’d heard Slayer hear and there on the radio growing up maybe but SoH was the first actual album I got my hands on when I borrowed a burned cd from a friend and it immediately changed my life. That combo of this song going into Silent Scream instantly taught me everything I needed to know about the Slayer and I’ve been addicted since, almost 20 years later.
One of my all tme favorite metal albums. Mandatory Suicude and Ghosts of War are great tunes. and thier version of the Judas Priest song Dissident Agressor is fantastic
"South of Heaven" by Slayer is a vivid exploration of the concept of sin, morality and individual judgment. The lyrics discuss the idea that while unspoken sins and immoral behaviors exist, they are often overlooked and ignored. The song takes a dark look at the consequences of not facing up to these sins and how our actions may end up leading us to a dark and unforgiving place. The overall theme throughout the song is that if we do not work towards peace and understanding of our flaws, we will end up discovering for ourselves the true consequences of our misdeeds.
😌
This whole album is a metal masterpiece!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Dave Lombardo is lord of the drums!
Yep, hell is earth if you look at all the things that he describes in the lyrics that are happen here. Tasha, getting into Slayer? My gosh!😂
This is by far my favorite slayer albumn when I wrestled in high school crooked cross going into mandatory suicide was my warm up music by the time I hit the mat I was ready to destroy anyone in front of me
This was my first Slayer album, and Mandatory Suicide is so killer.
Then got destroyed ny a guy listening to Carcass
Good album but seasons is better so I’d reign in blood but south is rock solid
She gets this song perfectly.
My great grandmother was a church goer and sweetest lady ever and she always said to my mom and Grandma that this is Hell...Earth is hell
Dave was the groove master of Slayer. Those fills, those time changes. He's the go to drummer for any band looking. In the last 6 years, Mr. Bungle, Misfits, Dead Cross, Suicidal Tendencies, Testament and several other projects. Dave is a monster. Just go listen to those re-recorded Mr. Bungle tracks. No one his age should be able to pull that shit off.
Between him and Josh Freeze they've got most of the bands I can think of covered😅
Her facial expression didn't disappoint on the "Cunting Daughter' line ...🤣🤣🤣
Exorcist line
The beginning is one of my ringtones
One of the wickedest albums ever. From start to finish, one of those rare albums you can just hit play and every track is something special. Raw sounding Punk/Thrash style drumming, speed metal technical riffs that sound sinister as hell, vocals that sound distant and lifeless...
Are you suggesting it's better than 'Reign In Blood ', I see them as a kind of part one/part two, but 'Reign In Blood is virtually perfect!
I started rehearsing in the studio next door these guys when i was 16. They are amazing.
Don’t let others wreck your faith. Build your foundation of faith and be the light you want to see in others.
Thats a nice live, airy, organic drum sound. Doesn't sound sampled or overly produced. Just good mics and good placement. All the instruments sound that way.
It's cool watching Tasha headbang to Slayer. Get it girl!
Headbaning ?
when where i dont see any headbanging
South of Heaven is Earth.
Yeah yeah i've wrote this about 100 times before but this IS the best piece of Slayer.
Not fast and agressive at all but it just crushes everything on it's way. 🔥🤘
Lombardo , what an Animal. Glad y'all are doing these vids together. This is the content I love.
Love the sinister groove, and the ramping up of speed, and anger, as South of Heaven unfolds! Slayer!!!!!!
South of heaven would be earth.
There isn't one bad song on this whole album.
True !
Those riffs amazing
This album popped my slayer cherry when i was 12 or 13, wish i could go back and experience it all over again.
"slayer cherry"😂
The Adventures of TNT Understand the loss in humanity feeling too well. Yet have discovered many "angels" amongst us in these darker days. So can not truly give up as there are more good souls who need to touch base with others to be able to continue on... So i feel 🤗💜🤘take care & be well-
j~
Everytime I listen to Slayer so does my neighbors
Love the reaction guys. Great great song…
A lot of times I think Tom arraya is overlooked as a bassist and singer.
Huh? Overlooked by who? What? Tom Arraya is considered legendary.
I like Tom but... idk if I'd call him a bassist as I would say he js plays bass... mabe lol
@@mikelois5297 Slayer was an Iron Maiden/judas priest cover band before.... Tom used to sing and play bass when covering both bands.... ain't no way you think he is a bad bassist just because his basslines in slayer aren't super complex. smdh
Not by me
Never really understood this song till I got older and realized what it was about. It really fits today's times!
I always referred South of Heaven as being hell as well for damn near 35 yrs now.. I've NEVER heard that earth idea
Smart comments on this one and Peace Sells. I like the way you two think.
Hi guys, love the posters in the background! 🤟💪✌️
Love you both!!!! Have a great day!!!!
One of my favorite bands growing up
One of the best metal songs, & albums, ever. IMO.
I haven't watched yet, just about to, but I was wondering... How is it that Tee doesn't know THIS song?! With all those Friday nights, this song never came up?! Lol... Or more likely it's Tasha's first hearing it, right?... Well, I'm about to find out, so, let's GO!
🤘🤪
My favorite Slayer. Has it all. When I was 13 years old this album was released and I've never heard anything that evil before. Haven't seen you guys in a while. Kinda missed you.
Great reaction guys❤️☮️
You are good, honest people. This Marine will be watching!
I was 11 or 12, scared shitless...2 years pass....big fan, still is. Now 48.
Holy crap! I never in my 32 years listening to this song south of heaven was earth. thank you
I don't watch the news because it is this. You get it girl! I love you guys. Best wishes.
Every song on that cd is great. Season's in the Abyss is another great song/cd
Lombardo rules! Omg I had all those posters when I was a teen in the 80s 🤘😝🤘
Slayer just hits hard bro.
Her analysis is spot on.
Has Natasha ever heard 'She Watches Channel Zero' by Public Enemy ? If she has I bet that riff will ring a bell for her. Oh wait. I'm an idiot. I think 'Angel Of Death' was on 'Reign In Blood'. Still an early and one of the best examples of sampling I ever heard. Damn I am so glad I found your channel. Love it !
Slayer and other metal samples are everywhere in more modern tracks. Trying to convince people they have heard metal tracks is an uphill battle.
🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼 love the intro to this song.
Love the chugg!!
This album is 🔥
One of my favourite Slayer songs.
Amen... South of heaven, is earth.
"This song make me hot. I have a blanket on and it just kept getting hotter and hotter." 🤣🤣🤣 You guys are the best!
Lol
My favourite slayer album
This whole album was off the charts! i had this on cassette in the 80s I used to jam top it in class on my Sony Walkman lol! I wore the tape and had to buy a new one cause i listened to it so much lol! Fuckling love Slayer! They were metal in the 80s, hence the Big 4 of metal in the 80s: Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer!
First Metal song I ever heard.
A quote from William Shakespeare, " Hell is empty and all the Devils 😈 are here " Gulp ! Makes you think.
Slayer is all Love.
Beautiful song 😌
This song gets more relevant everyday
When ever I get fed up with the world, which is often nowadays, I crank this one up.
Heaven is the reward, hell is now, here.
Show her that LIVE ! 🤘🤘🤘
Awesome jam yeah 🤘😆🤘🔥🔥🎤🎸
Seen slayer up at the Hollywood palladium 1987 while Dave's wife stood next to him the whole show. Also seen slayer at the lost horizon Syracuse NY 1986 , overkill opened. Feel the fire 🔥
I haven't heard the name Lost Horizon in forever!! Never had a chance to go though....I live in Albany and Saratoga Winners was our go to club...too small for Slayer. But saw Overkill there many times....
@@KattMurr Lost Horizon is really small. Everyone been... Played there! Even King diamond on the Abigail tour. Billy Milano of s.o.d. m.o.d would hang out there! It's just a bar with a little stage. Anyhow I haven't seen the the lost horizon for a long time, been living in North Carolina.
At first I thought she was saying "That's hail!" 🤣
She's right, Hell on Earth is the meaning of this song. I'm 53 and been a Slayer fan for 40 yrs. I love your channel by the way. .. Do Silent Scream by Slayer, it's about abortion and not in a good light.
You got the message. They sing about society.
Old school metal. 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
Slayer loves chourdren too!
Tasha is pretty much on point with this song in regards to how the world is today, unfortunately.
Slayer baby! 💯🤘
🤘 slayer 🤘
Dude likes his metal, so the wimpy Kiss & Def Leppard posters can be forgiven.
This was awesome ! One of my favorite Slayer songs. Left side of the reaction smiles and happiness, right side utter disgust.🤣. Based on what you two said, I'm dead wrong, but my reaction to your reaction had me laughing my azz off. Thanks TnT! I'll catch Metal Meltdown later.✌️
Naw. I think Natasha looks like she's rocking out.
Oh no you don't !!! Do NOT tell me that's an original KISS poster from Creatures Of The Night ??!! Can I have it ?
@teddydog6229
To each their own. Opinions are like azzholes, and I may be one. Be well.
@@godropkicks3219 I look at it like this - I can't say why I'm exactly a KISS fan. In fact I know it's nearly indefensible. However if you take a hyperactive six year old child who knows nothing about music except that the louder and noisier it is and you take that child and play him 'Detroit Rock City' especially in 76 when they were EVERYWHERE it's about as easy as fishing with dynamite. I was hooked and I'd never try and convert anyone else and take KISS about as seriously as I take the Ramones or bubblegum - the candy not the genre. And their Spinal Tap-esque history and laughably unapologetic greed have kept me along ever since (but I've kept Gene's grubby paws off my wallet since 79 or so). All that tedium said - if you are in fact a heavy metal fan then at the very least you should listen to Creatures Of The Night at least once before you dismiss it. I was as shocked as anyone else when KISS released a thunderous metal album in 1982. That's all I can say in defense of my KISS Army membership and if you actually read all this then your patience should be impressive to all.
It was a very impressive post. I indeed read the whole thing. I will take your advice and check out that album in the near future. I appreciate the rime you took to write all of that. The least I can do is give some music a listen. Be well, and thank you!
When I listen to Slayer, so do my neighbors.
Earth is both heaven and hell...your choice to which one you want to live in.
Im ancient and discovered this gem only because you folks reacted to it.
Sooo so good
Saw them open for Priest in 1988. Maybe 10 people at the show were into Slayer. Too hard too soon for my small town.
One of the few Slayer songs I actually like.
Tom Araya nuestro orgullo, saludos desde chile amigos!
Interesting intro discussion. south of heaven of course is earth. and ... in this mental construct, what is south of our realm?...
we alls are one and unite all ...
sorry for my bad german...🙂
hey my man she all in.... kkkk rookie season
My favorite song by is seasons in the abyss.
Yep
Top 5 Slayer song for me
Dead Skin Mask, next for T&T! 😊
"WELCOME TO HELL"
Sounds like the perfect segue to some VENOM!!
For me, Slayer and Venom were "rivals" in terms of all the black metal Satanic stuff.
I may catch flak for this, but the Big Four should have had Venom instead of Anthrax. (Hahaha, "venom instead of anthrax", sounds like some diabolical maniac second-guessing his choices on annihilating the human race through bioweapons.)
Anthrax always seemed like such an odd inclusion.
Naaaa…Venom belongs in Black Metal for a reason. Anthrax belongs in Thrash because they along with Metallica, were signed by Megaforce to kickstart the movement/scene in NY, then LA and eventually SF.
@@BRO77TX
Ahhhh, okay. Well, when you put it that way and explain it with logic and some music biz history, lol, then it makes total sense.
Still, I think I would swap out Anthrax for Venom if only to form my own personal "Big Four".
south of heaven popped my slayer cherry!!!!!!! besides maybe diabolica in musica maybe the best total music album ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
🤘🤘
slayer !!!!!!!!
Angel of Death❤
Ah yes .. The elusive Slayer ballad👊🏽⚡️
……”. It grieved God that he created mankind….”
There's a Black Sabbath lyric that says Tell me Mr Jesus, won't you tell me if you can, when you see this world we live in, do you still believe in man?
Check out this song. Without you by Evol Walks
Earth
🤘
Rad! Do "The Gallery of Suicide" by Cannibal Corpse.
If there is one thing I do really like about the internet/digital age we're living in, it is that everyone can easily experience music they never really would have been exposed to in the pre internet world.
