The 12 page instruction manual on garbage disposal is so accurate
The last (and I do mean last) time I stayed at an Airbnb there was a $100 PER NIGHT cleaning fee and it came with instructions for cleaning the bathroom, including which cleaning products were acceptable to use…at your own expense. Naturally none of that (except the fee) was disclosed when we booked the place.
So true - not to be outdone by the extensive manual that is seven years old.

@@trashtvinternational There was a "Willy Wonka Experience" in Glasgow, last week costing £35 each, the website made it look good but was completely AI generated. The actual event was so bad people called the police. Imagine a warehouse with a bouncehouse and some sad uninterested people in a costume with a few props.

I used it for business travel and I always had an awesome experience
I got a luxury hotel room with room service, gym, pool, hottub, sauna, for less than these "Airbnb" empires that are making housing unaffordable for hardworking families. And I didn't even have to take out any trash because the hotel staff cleaned my room for me 😂

AirBnB used to be a great and cheaper alternative to a hotel due to being able to rent a whole condo/house for the same price. Now they're saturated with property investment companies and the policies and fees are ridiculous now 😢
Yep, and on top of that, they've totally f*cked the real estate market so everyone else that isn't into "passive income" pays out the a$$ for housing.

I've never seen a more accurate skit! The hidden cameras, the huge instruction manuals for everything you're supposed to do, the crappy artwork on the walls, the massive supply of things you don't use -- all 100 percent true and real!
And the locked closet. That has a security system monitor at a desk, with 4 cameras at various places throughout the house. Got it dark enough to peer through the door and figure out the locations by sending people to walk in different areas. Sketchy.

I will not rent another Airbnb after my most recent experience. From the door lock upon arrival to the cleaning and laundry instructions, I didn't enjoy worrying about the owner's requirements. I am happier in a hotel!
Sure but the rooms with an actual stove are pretty rare. For 1-3 months stays for work contracts, you really need a stove and a full fridge or your food bill will be untenable.

Every VRBO and AirBnB has the same generic “Live, Laugh, Love” and “Life’s A Beach” wall art. It’s going to be interesting to watch the short term rental market collapse over the next decade.
Business come and business goes. Use to have a film developing business. Then a video rental business. Time changes. Entrepreneurs will just move on.

There are entrepreneurs. I know a few who have multiple beach side properties. They are investment properties. It’s run as a limited liability paying Hotel taxes to Gvt etc etc. it’s a business.
Not renting an extra room in their home or an addition unit on their main house. Those are landlords or inn keepers.
One can only hope. It has ruined the city I live in.

That’s for a reason. Guest would steal all the supplies like TP, towels, sheets, coffee, pillows, soaps, cleaning supplies.
Outdoor cameras show them loading their cars with all the contents.
Owners closets holds the towels and sheets and pillows so one can change out to new stuff and clean stuff quickly.
This was my favorite sketch of the night it shouldve been earlier in the episode so funny🤣.

But have no policy to enforce that rule. Pure p-r move with no teeth. Settling a few lawsuits out of court is less expensive for them then taking responsibility for guest privacy.

I stayed at one of their places last year and had a great time, they had a really good deep (vocal) fryer in the kitchen that I used not once but four times

~Wow, I think this might be the first or second best written sketch of the night! ~This made me realize why we needed more Chloe Troast tonight, and last week~ I actually hoped she would break out singing in the "Makeup Artists" sketch!~ I also had to drink some gin and tonic, to make up for the great loss of Cecily Strong...
Easily the best skit of the night. Chloe is a real talent - I hope she gets more time on screen.

This is one of my favorite skits. I watch it over and over. The girls are hilarious. And it’s so true about the airbnbs I’ve stayed in-the designs and the wall hangings are so questionable. lol.
