Behind the Scenes with Film Composer Tyler Bates

Creative Deviants was hired to interview film composer and musician Tyler bates who has scored such films as 300, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Punisher, Halloween, Watchmen and John Wick. We had 2 hours with Tyler as he was recording vocals with vocal artist Rafe Pearlman for a Chinese video game. Tyler was amazingly professional as he showed us his guitar collection and played some samples from his 300 score. Tyler also talks a little about what it's like to produce Marilyn Manson's new album but also performing live with him.
Tyler Bates is an American musician, producer, and composer for film, television, and video game scores. Much of his work is in the action and horror film genres, with films like Dawn of the Dead, 300, Sucker Punch, Halloween I and II, and the John Wick franchise.
