I'm envious you're able to fly this thing for the most part unattacked. So far my experience has been like 13 missile AA's on the enemy team every match
Everyone knows that everyone and their grandma is trying to fly the A-10 right now, so naturally, there are a ton of people that want to rain on their parade. Granted, if there were none of those people, the A-10 would be unbelievably broken without anything to take it down, of course. I'd give it a little while for the bandwagon of people wanting to shit on the A-10's legacy to prove some weird fallacious point in War Thunder of all places and then bring it out.
@@chrisp3085 I just want to shit on the A10 because it's fun doing that with any vehicle that's awfully popular and powerful, military aviation history already covered in depth why the A10's reputation doesn't match its actual history.
@@axeavier That's fine. It's just that, personally, I'd go out on a limb and say that there's an incredibly large community of people that are trying to do what I mentioned before for whatever reason. Simply from all of the War Thunder Discord groups I'm in and the general vibe, the CZcams community/comment section has given off ever since the original official A-10 teaser trailer. So, flying the A-10 right now should probably be taken with a grain of salt relative to what it'll be like once the hype around it dies down.
@@chrisp3085 fair enough, I'd agree with you that people killing the A10 for some weird vengeance would be super weird.
We'll certainlly see what happens to it once the hype dies down and if that hype will have any impact onthe BR or any form of balancing like the payload customization in the near future
You do know you can out range all but the Ito's in this thing with mavericks right? I've spent the majority of my games trolling angry supersonics with head on 9Ls and infuriating missile AA from range. At this point the only scary things are AA smart enough to not pop radar and manually track when you least expect it or bagelpanzers (because everyone and their mother is in them thanks to the new stabilizer).
This is the A-10 gameplay I wanted to see, percise chaos.
The roll-over at 8:00 is outright comedic, what with that bomb-load suddenly being revealed to camera

Seems like it is very good at its job. Also noticed you can use the AGM-65s pretty effectively in third person using the set activation point method. Probably better for closer ranges or when you don't have time to properly use the missile camera.
You can just hold down the fire button. They'll automatically launch if they lock onto something.
thats the only way i can use tv missiles on console bc the aiming screen is bugged

You probably know by now but you just change view like with the default "V" button. And it goes to that.

I appreciate how the majority of your kills were with bombs or missiles and it looks like you're handling the plane really well of course. Say and Hans Ulrich Rudel when he was using the Stuka with 30mm wing pods liked to go a little more from the vertical on the tanks; side armor on a lot of MBT's will be harder to pop at lower angle esp. if they angle. Sweet play!

im starting to see more and more people learn how to play it and its getting harder to shoot them down in SPAAs. Obviously there are still a ton of people still learning it and that shows though. Great video been wondering how the Late variant does in ground RB :)

The different roles of the A-10 are easy to define due to your gameplay. I love how you play close support with the gau-8 avenger and how you can also play very far away with the lock on air to ground missiles. Can't forget about the high speed hydra rockets (I'm new lol I don't know if that's what they are called). But nevertheless you sir are KILLING IT!!! I love what you do and how you do it. Great video, have to say I've personally been really enjoying the A-7D with the new 4x GBU-8 bombs.
Finding them more enjoyable than mavericks.
I tried to figure them out in test flight and failed. If I fly low, they don't reach the target, cause they're bombs, if I fly high, I can't aim the camera low enough to get a lock, so I end up having a very small window in which I can lock the target and drop the bomb
@@chuck600 the guided munitions do need some altitude, but you also need to be traveling quickly as they don't have their own set of propulsion (except mavericks).
If you are high you shouldn't fly level, you will need to be at a dive angle to spot and lock targets, hope this helps 😊.

Hey Hunter, have you considered binding a key for countermeasure deployment? Most of the time I find that using the periodic release only sets a trail that missiles will follow onto my airplane lol (I use left shift for CM dumping btw). Anyways, great content as usual!
You can instead spam the periodic release button faster(or slower, depending on the situation), in my opinion you don't need a seperate key

Just use the periodic release button. Also still have to dodge the missile, so deploy CM, turn off the afterburner and manoeuvre to evade the missile.

Can I ask what keybind you use to turn on the thermals in the view for the AGM65 aim in the A-10 late? I couldn't find it myself even after spring the airplane and unlocking the NV modification.

Not now, right now going to pilot cockpit view while carrying Mavericks let FPS go from 140 to 2. I hope they fix it soon.
