What a series of grand coincidences. Just introduced to the term and practice yesterday while reading Victor Wooten's book "The Music Lesson" as I sat in the audience waiting for a Christian McBride performance (Richmond, Virginia) to begin. The concept's discussion begins on page 156. The show was fantastic, as is Open Studio. Thanks Bob.
Very good excercises those!!! Started doing such thing for drums a couple of weeks ago... Ma ma ma!!! That is crazy! Long way to go here still man!! Thanks Bop!
thanks Bob Deboo! always excellent instruction ~!!on 88 bpm groove tune the notation omits the low A on last 16th of beat 2 in second measure that you play consistently , which makes the groove better feeling ,being a variation of 1st measure....love this!
Amazing video! So dope. Wish I had kept my upright. Currently saving up for an electric one to work up my skills before investing in another acoustic one. I had a really nice for a high school jazz/ classical program I was in.
great! thank you! can I ask what metronome you're using? I use Tempo but not happy with the sounds, surprisingly hard to find an app with pleasing natural metronome sounds.

Just saw that same show!
This dude dared to play 11bpm live and freakin nailed it. Y'all know how hard that is?!
🙏
11bpm is pretty crazy if he's not playing faster than quarter notes.
Best time guidance I've ever come across. Thank you
thank you Alexander!

I love this lesson…I will definitely try this…I know it will be a big help!! Thank you Bob! 🙂
Many of us will find this helpful in many genres
Thank you I play sax but your work is so useful like you say for all musicians.
Such great stuff you're sharing here! Really appreciate it

Really well presented, thank you.
Great concept, thanks 🙏
Great Video 🎶
Cool! Thanks for advice. Could you show how are you sitting with the bass, where is you left hand and how stable is it?

Hey Bobertito, I see you buddy!
I love bob man ❤
excelente
Sorry Bob, which strings do you like on your bass?
Thanks for you videos! Amazing
Could you have a talk with my drummer?
11:09 beat 2 of measure 2 has an additional note which is not shown in the sheet music
)))
Awesome!
Great video, thanks! But be aware there's a big difference between "simplistic" and "simple." You actually meant the latter.
Bob Crenshaw DeBoo😂
LOL - I wish!!!
When you started claping, I felt you were slower, and that was it indeed. Good advices for musicians of all levels.
Is the open studio water bottle acts as a metronome too?
You're dragging
Thanks 🎉
I'm bothered by the animation being late
