I would love to watch a 12h long video about law, and every little detail from this tekken now and previous tekkens. please share everything you have! Im playing since tekken one and im at mighty ruler right now with him in 8 and already working to improve fundamentals to reach fujin but your knowledge is sure something id love to learn from. I even got a poster of him right next to tv i love him so much as weird this might sound for an adult haha😢 take care

Man you are DEFINITELY an old school Law player 😅 so many setups since Tekken 3 era🙌🏿🔥 The df2,3 "setups", the shenanigans with his f2+3 animation grab, the mind games with dragon storm etc and the jump over tech REALLY took me back. And You're the only one I've seen besides myself make good use of the 1,2 fake flip into ff3+4 grab launch. We are cut from the same cloth🐉🥋 so awesome.

I want to add that the moves ff+4 and SS+2 are really good moves at the wall as they generally are safe mids. ff+4 is -11 so not great but my go to is ss+2 that can be mixed up with ss+3 to make them duck

Got a lot of things learned today.
The grab set up is awesome and I can use it especially for those opponents with good blocking defense.
For the slide I always messed up with it and I'm having trouble using the nunchucks after sliding. My character will just do a back punch even though I press 1+2 after the slide.
Anyway I started to dislike the D2,3 move because it's very punishable on higher ranks so seeing your recommendation of using D2+Slide is great. I just need to execute my slide perfectly.
What I do sometimes is do the manual DSS which is D1+2 then perform a slide. It's a sure slide when I do that.

After doing a successful slide, you need to turn around before inputting the 1+2. If you do this, but still get the backfist attack, then you are probably doing it a little too fast. Glad you like the video man :)
@@Lambkin-_- oh I see. You're right. I always do the 1+2 right after the slide which makes me do the back fist attack instead. So I need to face the opponent again before doing that move. Just need to react to it with timing.

Man the jump over and the wall setups are sick ahah, unfortunately I picked up the d2,3 bad habit - trying to get rid of it. Really need to work on my slide inputs, I watched your videos but i'm using an arcade stick and I'm not sure I can map the buttons to directional inputs. Well whatever, this video is great.

Oh damn I was literally going to suggest this lol.
Law has been my main since Tekken 3, and I loved what they added for him on Tekken 8 and even the few tweeks on some of his moves. What do you think of "wild dragons flight? I have lost count of how many times the opponent side steps it, avoiding the first two kicks but the last one connects at full force. It looks super odd, as the kick is forward but it hits them on the side (replays look funny and odd at the same time). I won some matches thanks to it. I recon that the opponent is at fault when it hits, as they engage on the third kick thinking it can be punished on the side. Yet again, do you think is working as intedned or will it be patched eventually?
Lambkin Law will always be fun!, but can you do a video soon on future buffs you think he needs mids as his high & low are solid!?
Haha that’s what I do with the throw as well I map 1+2 together and just mash it when I grapple them 😂

And as regards the parry, are there any setups that can be used? I saw that with the df2 he no longer comes in with the jab and also the fact that it does all recoverable damage is a heavy nerf.

Dc 2 doesn’t force crouch.
I usually do 1,1,2 into ff3+4 the launching grab. Or you can can do 1,1,2 into dss crouch mixups :)

@@ErenFisher do 4,3 then hold forward to enter the dss stance, and then when he’s in dss, you just keep holding forward and press 4 one more time. I have a dss guide on my channel that might help explain. It’s in my playlist labelled “Tekken 8 guides and tutorials”

“Im a dragon” throw has a longer window to break though, right? :(
It’s the same break window as other throws as far as I’m aware
@@Lambkin-_- the explanation I had seen in the previous game was that the opponent has the whole window while Law is running up to break.
I haven’t tested it in this game but if it’s the same, I suppose it makes up for its different animation.
Nevertheless, it’s still valuable; I’ll experiment with it

How do you tackle and roll attack with him? Every video I find on Law doesn't cover this.
