There is nothing wrong about liking Terry Silver, no matter how despicable and psychotic he is. His character development is amazing, his cartoonish act throughout the whole series was great and the reason I loved The KKP3 was because of him. Thomas played an amazing role, I’m so glad that he came back.
It's like liking Darth Vader or the Emperor when Star Wars first came out. There's nothing wrong with it.

I have to say a HUGE thank you to Thomas for coming out of retirement to play Terry Silver! I'm sure many of the fans of the show would say the same. I didn't think it was going to happen since he had retired back in 09 and clearly seemed comfortable with it. I know everyone loved seeing Terry Silver back!

This man stole the entire show in season 4. I was incredibly hype that the creators managed to bring him back for Cobra Kai. Thomas Ian Griffith breathes new life into Cobra Kai. He deserves a high honorable mention for how he portrayed Terry Silver. Literally the most interesting character on Cobra Kai. Season 5…. LETS GOOOOO

Agreed. Had it not been for his strong presence, the season would have been top heavy with the teen soap opera stuff.
Some of the actors looked genuinely afraid of him, too! I also suspect during the training scene where Terry and everyone is doing a front kick, that the Thomas Ian forced them to repeat that kick over and over and over. Look at Tory's face, when she's kicking. She looks truly exhausted. I think Thomas Ian did the same thing to Danny Boy in Karate Kid 3, when he is having him punch some handheld bags again and again and again. Danny's hair and face are drenched in sweat. Thomas Ian doesn't fool around, as he is a real martial artist and expects everyone to be 100% committed to their role.

I fucking love Thomas. He's Just an Amazing actor. He owns the character like if He was the one Who created it.
He may not have created it, but he embodied it.
They really threw me for a loop! I was convinced Terry was honestly interested in changing his old ways and when he ended up framing Kreese it blew my mind!
It's not like Kreese didn't had it coming, he kept on bugging and manipulating Terry. I love how no one is really the villain in this show
I would never have in a million expected him to stoop so low. Kreese is his weakness and he got him out of the way now
I believe that he was really interested in changing his old ways. I think he really tried. He was trying to teach the kids the right way but Kreese kept needling and manipulating him. He kept dredging up the past and exploiting his PTSD until the old Terry resurfaced.
He was though, Kreese just pushed him beyond the breaking point. And with beyond I mean, instead of him falling in line he started plotting his revenge. Why? Because Terry deep down was comfortable and liked his new life his sober way and Kreese destroyed it and brought his PTSD back.

I have a feeling this guy will be the highlight of Season 5
why wouldnt he? He basically set himself as the main villain in the whole series of Cobra Kai. Nothing is more menace than a psychotic rich dude who wants nothing but torment to his enemies.
I love how Kreese and Silver are just evil, bullies perfect villain's...and yet you watch Martin Kove and Thomas Ian Griffith in interviews and two of the nicest guys. Both are great actors to turn on the crazy and make it so believable ......true artist.
Not entirely though. Kreese isnt really evil from what we have seen in season 4. He just want the aggressive play in cobra kai dojo but the more he led the team, he finally figured out this isnt the right way to do it. If you didnt notice, he always wanted Johnny to come back to reliving the old Cobra Kai moments which is kinda understandable but just on the wrong approach.
Terry on the other hand, Kreese really awoken the real demon.

This show does nothing new and it F&CKING NAILS THE LANDING. Its beyond refreshing. They need to teach this in film schools. You can stick to tropes and expectations and still execute. The system exists because it works. This is masterful.
Yeah, you know I'm not typically a fan of Extra, but this was a very, very good interview. Wait... were you talking about Cobr... never mind.
There's nuance if you look, especially surrounding the character development. What this show does is takes the old Movie archetypes, that weren't very depthful, and fleshes them out into more well-rounded and believable beings with more realistic moral grey areas. It's absolutely stunning to behold! 💖

THOMAS IAN GRIFFITH is such an amazing actor.. so much charisma and sharm that he makes you root for the bad guy.. at his age he look way better than guys in their early 40's
Thomas Ian Griffith - absolutely nailed it. Incredible. He needs to be seriously considered for an Emmy. This was the best season 4 of any show and I am excited for season 5 than I was season 2 - and that’s saying something.
I would submit his tape that if when he fought with Johnny. He really looked like he was having fun wooping and smiling
He really did. This season added so much depth, nuance, and weight to his character. He went from a cartoonish caricature to a living, breathing person that I actually sympathized with. He was really trying to do things the right way until Kreese forced the old Terry back and now everyone may suffer.
Thomas Ian Griffith brought all of that to life. I never knew he was this good of an actor; I can’t recall watching him in much of anything else since KK3 (though I know he has been working since then), so this performance was a revelation to me. He nailed it! All of the little details and tics, he owned it!

The thing I love about this series is that it blurs the lines of the good guys vs the bad guys and creates a huge gray area for the characters to relish in. I even expect for the character of Terry Silvers to go through some changes as his backstory emerges maybe in season 5.

Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith ) is a great actor and his craft is as if he never left ! COBRA Kai wouldn't be the fire without the excitement and expectations of Terry Silver ! Can't wait for season 5 !!!
You can see why people love him and his character. No wonder the show continues to have record ratings. The whole cast is great, and Thomas just adds more to it. Fun to watch!

If you think about it, Kreese stole the dojo from Lawrence, Silver steals it from Kreese. Love ❤️ this series!! It's perfection. I have been a fan since I was a kid with the originals. Closest thing to reliving the 80's that many if us want to experience again. Absolute gold!! Thank you!
That’s what I like most about it! Every time I watch it, and I replay the entire series every month or so (LOL), I get the same feelings of joy that I had growing up in the 80s. I love that they are able to capture that time so we’ll, but have it transplanted into the modern era. It’s a beautiful thing and I honestly don’t want it to ever end.

Everyone was excellent on the show but Mr. Griffith's performance is hand down the best! Everything from micro facial expression, tone of the voice, gesture... really just sold you the idea of Terry Silver's complexity. I'm glad he came out of retirement to wow us.

Thomas Ian Griffith is still a beauty! I am so glad that he's come back to the screen and that he's never done anything to his face because he's perfect. It's also incredible that he still posses that warmth and sunny disposition after all these years...I love that man.
I think Thomas should just dye his hair black again because that grey hair makes him look really old and not so handsome. I'm not saying he should get plastic surgery for the wrinkles nor Botox nor anything like that. I'm only talking about his hair. If he didn't have that grey hair he would look great

Such an accurate statement for anyone that's a Life Long Martial Artist. It never leaves you, you remember, our body does even if you stay moderately trained. But yes esp older pacing is key. But it all comes back vs those who do not have that training and life experience to fall back on. Moreso if you've competed in martial arts. Chuck Norris once said when talking about getting older and still being very high level martial artist into his 70s and now 80s Chuck said "There are things I can no longer do as I age. That's just father Time. But I don't focus on the negative parts of what I can't do anymore. I focus on the positive parts of what I can still do"
