Dean talks about what actors should know and do if they want to be taken seriously in the voice over industry and shares a TON of great info, so let's show Dean some love in the comments! :)
Dean, thank you for the blunt honesty and unbridled truth and insight for us! And Chuck and Stacey, thank you for this interview and asking the questions I want to know the answers to.
J.E. Burton Voiceover Ha! You’re welcome 👍
Wowza. I can’t say just how much I am aligned with Dean’s perspective on character work. Terrific interview as always, Chuck!

Raw honesty for REAL insight. Thanks!
Michael McDonnell 👍
Hey guys, did it slip sync at 10:30 to around 11:45 or so?
Tim Bomba nope. Work fine on our end.

GlennHowardVO 👍❤️👍

Michelle Bush 👍👍
Duuuuude! Workout group. I think that along with some more acting classes, and a little Improv could really help me out. Love this freakin' show! Just a little disappointed that I didn't hear more of Sting. You know just a little something. You'll remember me, when the west wind moves, upon the fields of barley. Kidding aside, very cool that Dean was nice enough to remind everyone at the end that taking classes is muy importante! Thanks Dean, Chuck, and Stacey. Great advice. It's obvious how much you guys want us to succeed with your questions because they were all good ones which were for more than just the pro, but for the newbies too.
rob dinsmore LoL Thanks a ton!
I say this every episode. You guys always ask the best, most relevant questions. And such helpful info! Never ceases to amaze me. Please never stop making these videos. LOL

whoa, this episode is STELLAR. part 1 was amazing too. thanks for sharing!
Mark M. Smeltzer 👍
What Dean talks about in regard to hybrids and fooling with inspired personas or performances is dead on and how I’ve always been approaching characters from the start. Just need a better direction and more cultivation is all.
👍👍
another outstanding job! whenever I feel like I'm making major progress, an interviewee comes along to let me know... I aint squat. I would love for an agent to tell me specifically what I would need to do/learn to make their roster.
amazing info, Dean's such a great guy--and WANTS us to book work! Bravo Chuck & stacey too!

VO Buzz Weekly, can you guys interview Cherami Leigh?
I feel like I'm part of a small, elite group that just got some insider trading info that, if acted on, will make life-changing money. The information in the last two videos is GOLD! :) I actually watched 'em a few times through and took notes (something I should be doing more often methinks). Thank you, to all three of you for this. Chuck and Stacey, your channel could be a college course on VO. Seriously, you guys ROCK! Dean, I hope to meet you someday so I can shake your hand, kind sir. Ok, I'm done kissin' glutes, it's outside my pay-grade. :D
Warren Taylor WOW! What nice comment! It makes us so happy when we know that what we spend so much time and effort to do for the VO community is truly appreciate. Thank you! 👍
Since the 'rona thing, has his attitude changed regarding non LA character voice actors?
Those with "raw talent" need training too. Raw talent will get you only so far. The voice is just like any other instrument. The first time you pick up a violin, you're not a virtuoso. There's so much that goes into voice acting, raw talent might give you a head-start over everyone else, but it's not going to get you out of training, practicing, and experience. Success in the VA business takes time and lots of hard work.
Oberon Pan Very well said! We completely agree.
"They just walked up and sounded dope"
Where am I walking to?
are those beer can tabs.........chuck?
