A lot of what you stated about working against the sale of a house, you're speaking about my mother's home in a 55+ community. Popcorn ceiling, rug, etc. She does not have the income to have these things replaced. I need to sell her home and get her into a more affordable one. She is a widow on a fixed income and she is too elderly to do anything herself on her home, as am I. This is what frustrates me about trying to sell an elderly person's home. I hate real estate. I really and truly do. When we moved into a home, we replaced everything ourselves (my ex-wife and I). We had no problem selling our home but my parents obviously did not care as much for their home as we did. It's very daunting and stressful for me. Trying to care for my mother, her home, selling, buying, moving. I am basically doing everything myself and I am just fed up and tired at this point. I would just rather walkaway and let the house go at this point. I am just at my wits end. Have I mentioned how much I hate real estate?

HI JaredMerlin, I know how you feel, i have sat through many of this with our clients. Does your mom have any equity in her home? where is her home, if in our area, we manage the entire home sale process, minus getting rid of personal items and we pay for the updating and we get paid back at settlement.
