Man led out of asylum seeker hotel in Newquay, Cornwall by emergency service worker in hazmat suit

  • A hotel being used to house asylum seekers is at the centre of a police and ambulance service investigation this afternoon (18 November).
    Cops and paramedics were called there to deal with a “medical incident.”
    Officers stood guard outside the three star, £60-per-night hotel on the beachfront in Newquay, Cornwall.
    Police in white hazmat suits could be seen at the windows on the third floor.
    A man was seen being escorted out of the hotel just after 3pm.
    Two South West Ambulance Service ambulances, an Incident Response van and medic car as well as police cars were parked outside.
    The incident is not being led by the police.
    The emergency services were called at 12:30pm
    A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Police were notified by Ambulance Services to assist at the location.”
