  • Gacharic Spin are a J Rock band started in 2009 and have since expanded into the final form. Lately, their themes have been quite existential and I was interested in covering what is their best iteration yet.
Shout out to YT user Gacharic Fan to keeping many of GS's videos alive.

Although I want to say a lot about this, I'll keep it short: This is an awesome piece of art with deep knowledge of their history, an on point synopsis of their lyrics and great moving pictures :) Kudos Meerkat and Thx !!!!!!!!!

  • @Kevin6059

This is both hilarious and informative!! Well done, Ultraman!

  • @kicorse

Very nicely put together video. I nearly missed out on GS because I recoiled at the idol-culture elements, but as you show they're much more than that. A unique and extremely talented band, and yeah, their lyrics are a lot more interesting than most too.

  • @hairy_cornflake

Alright! Another band to add to the list of cool stuff to listen to.

  • @minoranza

    This is fantastic, thank you!!

Surprised me, I saw the thumbnail and thought G Spin had released another single, then I heard a Meerkat and...whoa, he's a fan. Eu Phoria was one of the first bands I got into when I got on line in 2009, I followed Tomo-Zo into Gspin. Female Jpop was why I got on line in the first place, I saw SCANDAL on PBS tv somewhere before 2009 and lost my mind, I wouldn't rest until I found a way to see them. Since the internet was as alien to me as life on Alpha Centauri, it took my brother to tell me to get a computer, duh er. Great video 👍

Awesome job Meerkat! I love being introduced to new bands.

Excellent profile of Gacharic Spin! I discovered them with Mindset, during Covid lockdown, and was blown away by their music. I did a deep dive into their background thanks to CZcams, and it very quickly became apparent that, good though they might have been as musicians and performers in their previous iterations, it was the addition of Yuri and, especially, Angie that turned them into a truly great band. It was Angie's personality that captured my attention early on, and to learn that she was so young in comparison with the rest of the band, and had no previous musical background, was even more impressive. She has become the consummate lead singer over the past few years, with a very distinctive voice. This current six-member line-up is THE definitive Gacharic Spin, existentialism included!

Discovering bands like this on CZcams feels like an adventure sometimes. You come across them or sometimes accidentally miss them. It's all over the place. Like I discovered Mass of Fermenting Dregs eons ago just by browsing through random things.

Forget reading translations and watching videos, I'm more of a listening to Kakuhen guy myself. And yeah, I love a girl who dresses as a hamburger! LOL!

  • @DARTHORK1988

Since 3 weeks ago yt is bombarding me with this group, for no reason i have never searched for them or anything similar😆and now Meerkat. I feel like Roddy Piper in they live. If You say they are good, they have to be😃

  • @Greg-om2hb

My understanding is that OREOREONA was recruited to take on lead vocals following the departure of ARMMY.

What a great introduction to GS, @Meerkat.

  • @lucianoaguero6795

Good video, the band sounds crazy weird and gets heavy on the side. I'm usually 50/50 on existential bands but I'll see what these guys are all about
