It's weird how it all depends on white men for something to be successful but they refuse to make movies targeted to white men.
Hollywood doing what Hollywood does. Another girl boss movie, only this time they cast older women instead of young, hot ones and then they make the male character weaker by casting minuscule Kevin Hart. People are tired of this stuff.
Also they didn't even include the MANY males in the franchise. Almost all women for some reason.

And the most ridiculous thing about that is that Sirens are already the most powerful people in the universe. And they're all women. There's absolutely no need to turn a BL story into a girlboss story, because the female characters are already _at least_ as badass as the male characters.

Totally miscast: women are too old, Roland should be built like Reacher. The story is probably crap.
My interest in the movie died the moment I saw Tina act bratty to Roland. That felt so out of character it actually hurt to watch.
Not to mention the characters sound nothing like the ones from the games

Both she and Viggo Mortensen were relatively unknowns before the trilogy, and after that they were in the A-list with bigger paychecks. I have literally 700 hours in Borderlands 2 alone, most of that time gaming with either my sister or buddies...
This one hurt even if i knew it was gonna be bad from first looks years back...
Now you know how Aliens fans felt when Randy Pitchford embezzled Sega's funding for Colonial Marines to put into Borderlands 2, while at the same time bragging about being a huge fan of the franchise & how much of a passion project it was.
You know they're all going to be bad. Might as well enjoy the train wreck. I mean, people I despise paid over $120 to make a movie that might make them $30-40m back at best. Some careers probably ended because of this one. And no one held a gun to their heads and said "be a part of this movie". So... the Borderlands IP is pretty much taking one for the team at this point. A whole bunch of people in front of and behind the scenes are being removed from the equation by their own voluntary participation. Of course there are a few blameless newcomers to the scene who just got caught in the crossfire, and I salute them. At least you didn't try very hard.

Fair Estimate, probably broke the budget and didn't factor in that Rejection was Higher than Appeal for Current Borderlands. Bet half or more like at best an eighth of the reviewers even know how far off it is- and they still hate it.

Two old bats, a tiny black has been comedian, and Jack Black (who supports the as*as*ination of presidential candidates). Who thought that was going to work out? They needed fresh faces and a strict adherence to the game. They should have had David Eddings voice Claptrap.
Not defending anyone, but Jack got pissed and canceled the Tenacious D tour when his partner said it.
I think that Claptrap SHOULD have been voiced by Ben Affleck with a dead serious voice instead.

As soon as I seen Kevin hart was Roland you didn't need to even get to rest. Tall strong guy played by short toothpick... Kevin is the opposite of what Roland actually is.
I can't speak to Lilith since I never liked her and she came off as villain more than hero in sequels... It's her fault jack was jack... Most of what he did to her she did to him first....
Edit: the rock would be better for role than Kevin... The perfect person for Roland I think is guy from dawn of the dead with pregnant wife I forget name been long time... He has military like features and his voice is near perfect if memory serves. Great actor

When Ava was introduced i was like god this btch is annoying but i didn’t hate her because i assumed bratty rebellious teen was what the writers intended and i suppose they were doing okay.
But when and how they killed Maya, i knew it was over. For the most emotional impact it instead should have been Maya being forced to watch Ava die. Mayas heartbreak would have been much more sympathetic since people actually care about her.

A whole generation of studio execs seem to have moved in, with no idea of how to make movies, and no idea how to do good business. We don't see them, they aren't credited, they're just sitting back going "This movie is based on a video game? Make it appeal to little kids and old women."

Postal is also an entertaining movie and a faithful adaptation, so Uwe Boll has at least one win.
