The simple fact that OG players knew what was gonna happen and they still gave everyone chills and shock and amazement just in the first 2 hours of the game. idk if I can imagine the heartbreak later on..
No one knows what’s going to happen later on, that’s the greatness of this Reimagining 🤗

i was in shock just from the first 2 mins of the demo, with the scene inside the truck. A continuous shot, with the camera bouncing around zooming in and out. A very expensive scene of just the characters interacting. Crazy good.
I have played og game this last two months and i can agree this version of nibelhaim incident is horrifying
I think the security guard on the right side is Zack's VA so if you know you know that's a clever way of foreshadowing! 🤭
the way he acts is totally Zack behavior as well
This piece of gameplay felt like it really humanized Sephiroth in a way they weren't able to convey before

They've also done this through Ever Crisis, First Soldier chapters, makes you almost feel bad for him

This demo was insane! The way it ended like that makes me want more. Wow, from watching the event of Sephiroth killing everyone from pixelated to this, and how you can now hear the panicked voices of the towns people is so heartbreaking and sends chills down your spine. Cloud trying to get to his mom and her saying those last words to him is so sad. And if you noticed Sephiroth said those same last words to Cloud when you first talk to him in Remake. Now it makes sense why Cloud got mad. This demo did not disappoint. Cannot wait for the rest of the game.
The music is EXCELLENT (no surprise). Love their remix of Anxious Hearts being the main theme entering the town, very appropriate! Also, the adventurous music starting the journey up the mountain, opening credits theme, 1st battle theme, and all the darker music once the Sephiroth psychotic breakdown begins. MASTERCLASS. 😎
I love the fact you’re going to just put your playthrough on CZcams! It’s definitely going to be a special game and I think just concentrating on the game will make your playthrough much more enjoyable to watch ☺️ I just watched your remake playthrough recently and I really loved your reactions and your understanding of the story ✨

I was an emotional wreck playing through this demo, it was perfection. You can tell the devs put a lot of love and hard work into it!
They made sephiroth much more scarier and menacing! I was little scared low key and had goose bumps going through the ending while crying 😂
Though when you see ‘grunt’ cloud on the floor trying to call out ‘mom’ broke me inside. They did so good with the signs!! ✨

Feels so good to watch you play again. FFVII is the first full playthrough I watched on your channel and I hit the Bell for notifications during that playthrough too.
The extra bit did nothing to ease my fears for what might happen.
You missed the one tutorial telling you about ranged attacks and air combat, at 40:19. After dodging, you can hit the attack button to do a ranged attack, or hold it to do an air combo. Makes hitting all the flying people much easier.
Interesting how the three guys with guns just stand there while they get picked off one by one and never shoot a single shot.
The fact that this line from Cloud’s mom « run away, you have to leave, you have to live » is that same line that Sephiroth tells Cloud after the first bombing run in remake…

And three: there is somting clearly wrong i mean her last words are heard out of place and this isent how her death was discribed from Sephiroth-i mean we know this is false to what cloud actully pov was but still. And we have to wait 4 or more years to see the real memory of how she really died
@@Oddfosshaugbagi don’t forget Sephiroth spoke of her flesh yielding to his steel. It’s HEAVILY implied that Sephiroth killed her, with Cloud present, and both of them were there for her dying words “Run Cloud, you have to live….”.
As to _why_ Sephiroth quotes her in Remake, that is still unclear. There’s more to it than just a taunt. He genuinely wants something from Cloud, we just don’t what yet.

I know why Sephiroth quote it and what he wants from cloud he wants him to suffer thats just it he just wants him to suffer since he beat him in the nibel reactor
@@Oddfosshaugbagi I think there’s much more to it than just “Cloud needs to suffer”. Sephiroth is trying to affect the fate of the planet and he believes Cloud is instrumental to that. How and why _nobody_ knows because it’s new territory. It’s like Sephiroth said “those with clouded eyes see nothing but shadow”. In other words: we don’t understand what he’s up to yet.

FF7 Remake is what made me start watching let’s plays and streams. Your CZcams channel was one of the very first play throughs I watched since I wasn’t that active on twitch during that time. In fact, I didn’t even pay attention to any games that were coming out so I was a month late before realizing they remade FF7. So glad to finally watch you continue this unknown journey Mandy. Yeah, I was having a time with that. I’ve gotta play it a few times and see if I can get the hang of it. Playing the piano Tifa’s training was only mentioned not talked about that’s what’s nice about this
1:50:50 One thing that caught my attention is that this close-up of Sephiroth's eye and you can see the detail of it. It's quite creepy how flesh-like and alien it is.

I love how you missed the last sentence of the blocking tutorial @43:17 explaining perfect timing blocks nullifying damage. Because, hilariously, you do a Perfect Block IMMEDIATELY after and are confused for a second why Cloud was immune!

I just played through this section for the first time.
I'm really worried and concerned about Cloud and Tifa in this game and my anxiety is through the roof. I just hope they all have a happy ending because they truly deserve it. I would be on 'cloud 9 (pun intended) if Cloud and Tifa are smiling together at the end of this trilogy!💝

i always had my theorie that sephiroth didnt just go nuts but that jenova took him over just like sephiroth/jenova took controle of cloud in part 1 at that bridge,the moment you see the flashes between sephiroths eye and the jenova name it looks like jenova is fightin sephiroth for controle and at that time it wasnt hard because sephiroth was abit angry and confused.
wel thats my theorie because at that moment it does look like sephiroth is fighting a psychological battle for a fuw moments since he is standing stil and slightly breathing heavier and after that he acts weird like he isnt there haf the time when he starts killing people.
its just strange how sephiroth goes from nice guy to just full blown psycho just like that,that doesnt usualy happen because it doesnt work like that unless youre taking over by someone els.
maybe am just making stuf up in my head but i can swear when sephiroth looks at cloud through the fire it does look like he is fighting something,his eye's go from struggle to a smile and then back to struggle and then he walks away,its like the smile is jenova and the struggle is sephiroth.

It reminds me of Jokers speech “All it takes is one bad day to drive the sanest man to lunacy”. Add to that Sephiroth had a lifetime of suspecting something was wrong, and he probably _was_ one existential crisis away from going berserk.
It’s possible Jenova was influencing him, but if that’s the case it couldn’t be a “you will do what I tell you” way. It’d be more of a “evil alien shoulder devil” kind of way. Sephiroth uses Jenova cells for his own purposes, not the other way around. But that doesn’t mean he fights her for control, cause they both want the same thing (at least in the OG game).

even if you believe jenova is done wrong and she should enherit the planet you can say some did her wrong but why kill innocent villagers that got nothing to do with it and youre friends who didnt know its just weird.
the only thing that logicaly explain this is if jenova took over sephiroth and used him to just kill everyone because she is a weird psycho woman.

They fucked it up big time in Remake regarding blood (all that stupid purple goo). Hipe they learned the lesson and don't make the same mistake again. Give the option to play it bloodless like other games have already done before, but one certain scene CAN'T be bloodless. It just can't. Otherwise, it will end up being comically hilarious.

The entire cutscene starting at 5:30 inside of the vehicle is astounding. It is a continuous shot for 2 min as the camera swings around the inside cabin, and focusing in and out as needed. I know this is all unreal engine ingame graphics and not IRL, but still that is an incredible feat that few other developers have the skill, time, or resources to pull off. Also the boldness of it, as some devs worry young people will just get bored or zone out if not constant cutaways or more action intros. It is 2mins before action heats up, an incredible opening scene that is just characters talking inside of a truck.

It's a tricky thing about this remake. Since you played the original, I think keeping true expressing opinions/reacting as that's how you're going in and viewers should understand that. If they aren't familiar with the FF7 series, they can watch other people's playthroughs without that context.

I have played the demo 4 times now. I LOVE it. Two times in both graphics and performance modes. I am happy to say I have not noticed a significant difference in either modes. The performance in graphics mode is so good I actually couldn’t tell which mode I played in. Combat is smooth as butter. My hype before the final trailer was a solid 8/10, but after the demo… off the charts. Absolutely off the charts in hype.

I streamed this the other day, starting from the piano section, it took me about 20 minutes after starting, I'd already been at it for about 30 mins before that, to get the little mini game 100% perfect with all 146 notes as great, and other than the satisfaction of doing that I got nothing for it 😢
I replayed it so I could go back and get a perfect score as well, and it was so fun!! I'm obsessed with the piano minigame
The VA, dialogue, music, and scenes were great, but man the padding and the vacuuming killed pacing. Hopefully the full experience has more of a flow. Overall excited

Sadly they used unreal 4... the water physics sucks in unreal 4. Otherone, amazing shit.

Never played og ff7, but played remake and now playing demo. Gonna have to stop watching if you will talk about spoilers from og though.
Oh, that is excellent news that you won't be streaming Rebirth on Twitch Mandy. I loved your Remake playthrough but it was ruined by chat constantly grabbing your attention, instead of it being on the game, and also if I remember correctly you did some off screen grinding in sector 5 and that completely ruined your experience, because from that point on you were seriously overpowered for the rest of the game and so you barely ever got the chance to use your summons because they appear based on how much damage you have taken during battles. So hopefully you won't do that again in Rebirth 🙂
