As an All Blacks fan, I have been smiling big time when it comes to the rise and progress that our South American brothers have been doing this season. They have been working their butts off before and during this series and it has paid off so far. I hope Argentina keeps this new standard of playing up for the next series. I'll be more than happy when they beat our All Blacks sevens team in such high level tight competition :)

Thanks for your support! We have nothing but massive respect for the NZ rugby knowing that is top of the world. This is why is huge for us even to compete at this level. I went to a Maori boys school that toured Argentina in the late 80s. We were an under 16 team who had won the national under 15 tournament the year before. Played six games, two in Buenos Aires and four in the rest of the country. We were all billeted by six different families, and let me tell you, they are the best people you'll ever meet. So hospitable and friendly.
On our 2nd night there, after our 1st game, we were taken by our billets to a girls sweet 16 birthday party at a massive mansion. When we arrived, there were bouncers at the gate, and a long queue of kids waiting to get in. We lined up and waited before being waved up by one of the bouncers. When we got in it was flash. A huge room with dance floor and dj opened up to a swimming pool with waiters walking around with Fanta and Coke on the rocks. We enjoyed ourselves, danced, met the birthday girl, and mingled with the local females. Everyone wanted to meet us, including the dad and owner of the mansion. He asked if we would do a haka for him, and, as is the maori way, we agreed, to thank him for his hospitality. The music went off, the crowd went quiet and people gathered around the pool. We proceeded to blow them away with a ferocious haka that stirred the soul.
When we finished the whole party erupted into cheers and applause. The owner came over and hugged and kissed us all on the cheek It's an Argentine custom. (even the teen girls we met did
this.) He then said "follow me". He took us to another part of the mansion where he had his alcohol cabinet. He opened it up, and said '
"go for it. You've got one hour." Later, with a happy glow on, we returned to the party to reacquaint ourselves with the ladies.
Amazing night. They really made us feel special. Such wonderful memories. Like getting on the beers at McDonald's (cerveza's available) in the middle of a mall and underage nightclubs that sold alcohol. ( no apparent illegal drinking age.) I even smoked a joint with one of my billets. And eating steak and chips everywhere. I had a great time. Maori and Argentinians have much in common. Hamilton boys high toured at the same time, staying exclusively at hotels. They said they were getting bored by the end. We said, "you should have stayed with the people like we did.

There are some shaky decisions being made out there by the Referee involving New Zealand. Final ruck ball at the back of the scrum ball clearly seen, then he blows the whistle, for extra time. 2 games have been refereed like that.

The measure of the opponent credits the loser. Inversely, the quality of the loser, merits the Victor. One less mistake from Pumas, and they would have beaten the mighty All Blacks. That is how close it was! What would have happened if Moneta scored one of the two chances he missed? All the praise and direction of congrats would have reversed, and still, it would have been fair. I still get the feeling that for Argentina getting this far is akin to heroic, but for the ABs, a habit.
Isgro cost you the game an unforced error right at the end gave the ball back to NZ and the rest is history
@@Trajan2401 Precisely what I mean to say. As an Argentinian I am absolutely proud of my team, being able to play on equal terms with the very best; win OR lose does not matter that much. Obviously, one has more fun winning! I have a feeling that the ABs derive their "ethos" from the Citizens of NZ, A MARVELLOUS NATION! The ABs never lose their heads; they know their power and skills, and their WILL to win! I would like to add, since NZ are Champions, perhaps they do not feel right now very inclined to question themselves, but they also had their mistakes, albeit very few. I think ISGO was intent on a drop goal: he was taking his bearings for the post and lost his focus on the ball. Can you imagine the effect of beating the ABs with that kind of final score?
