Whitetail Deer Warning "Stomp And Blow"

- If you've ever encountered a Whitetail deer up close, then you've probably heard this sound. "Stomping" is to make a threat expose itself if the deer see's movement or if it smells danger. A "deer blow" (or snort) if you like.. is a loud unmistakable "Alarm" sound. Both" are used to warn their fawns and other deer to run for cover.
This video is mainly for city folk that may have never heard it before.
I recently moved to a place with a large wooded backyard that has deer coming by every morning. This is also when I let my dog out. Recently, I watched him walking around when a doe approached him curiously. He’s old and has bad vision so he didn’t seem to notice or care. As soon as she saw me, though, she started stomping and blowing, so I backed off. She still ran off though.
Nice that you have deer around you, they are fun to watch. These warnings are meant to make other deer aware of danger, like the does fawns. They are just a defensive alarm. Does rarely act aggressive towards humans. Bucks on the other hand in the fall could use their antlers if they felt cornered. Bucks that are spooked can really do some loud barks! This is actually super cute lol but it happened to be about 10 mins ago which is why I'm on CZcams looking at what those sounds are etc. It was dark and my cat alerted me something was in the yard and bam there was 2 babies and a mama right there!! I never been so close and I surely didn't expect to be. The mama got up and the babies were even stomping lmao!! I got my cat and ran inside lmao!!
Ya she definitely mad if she walks up to you while stomping her foot it’s a good idea to just back off
