  • "I'm Tenzin Choekyap, a Tibetan raised in Dickyi-Ling, Dehradun. Just an ordinary guy who enjoys browsing through Facebook and various social media platforms."
"One morning, while scrolling through Facebook from the comfort of my bed, I stumbled upon a post by someone named Paljor seeking help for stomach tuberculosis. His plea deeply moved me, and despite feeling limited by my age of 25, I knew I had friends who might assist. So, I reached out to them, and together we visited the patient."
"Our unexpected arrival overwhelmed him with gratitude. He tearfully thanked us for our unexpected visit, expressing his surprise that strangers came to see him."
"As we stood in the corner of the hospital room, the air felt chilly, filled with the sterile scent of the hospital. The awkwardness was palpable; unsure of where to begin, my heart raced. This encounter deeply affected me, igniting a desire to aid such individuals within our community."
"I felt a deep urgency to act, realizing it wasn't a task for just one person. The very next day, I assembled a team called 'Jangsem Youth Forum.' 'Jangsem' translates to 'compassion and love' in Tibetan-a team motivated by these values to make a difference."
"Securing a private audience with His Holiness The Dalai Lama was a milestone. His encouragement and blessings for our youth-driven initiative were monumental. His words echoed, emphasizing that compassion must originate from the heart and then be put into practice."
"That moment stood as the pinnacle of achievement and pure joy in my life. I'm resolute in my commitment to serve the community as much as I possibly can."
"Our team operates in Dickyi-Ling, but there are numerous Tibetan settlements across India brimming with young Tibetans. It's imperative that we take the initiative to support and uplift our community."
    "This is my story."
