What I read a long time ago when she was up for the Oscar Nomination for best supporting actress - she would throw a party with friends and it was called, "Come to my Oscar Party that I will lose." She had fun joking about it. However, she should have gotten the last Oscar for "Pillow Talk" which she was hysterical in getting Rock Hudson drunk! Love her always was a treat to have her in all movies. Thelma Ritter, Doris Day and Rock Hudson - RIP all of you - we miss you!
I love Steve Forrest as much as I love Debbie Reynolds. Their chemistry is wonderful. I forgot about this movie was hysterically funny! I love Debbie's spunk and determination to survive despite the outcome of her benefactor that died over a holdup and was being sent in his casket by railroad to his family. Good movie!

A fabulous classic movie.....a movie that is actually excellent....one of the few. Debbie Reynolds was extremely talented in all her movies. Unsinkable Molly Brown also a superior classic. She was beautiful, tiny, adorable and so feisty.
Love this film and glad she ended up with Dan who obviously was in love with her. But ended up unemployed. I really felt sorry for the owner of the ice cream shop with no mention of being reimbursed.
Andy Griffin was really fun in this as was Debbi, so cute and sweetly feminine, but Steve Forrest was so gorgeous and brought so much to the movie that he and Debbie seemed to melt into each other while they were fighting.
