If you have ever wanted to eat local Singapore Food but have no idea where to start, then make sure you check out this tour around #Chinatown & the #HawkerCentres. Booking details are below.
We start with learning how to order coffee and what to eat for breakfast. Then we explore the amazing #StreetArt before tucking into some delicious Hainanese Chicken Rice. Our final stop is the Hawker Centre where we learn how to “chop” (save) a table, what it means to have a Michelin Star and sample some of the local carrot cake…made of radish & not a cake!

For chicken rice we don't dip the rice or chicken into the soup. This will dilute the taste of the chicken/rice and change the taste of the chicken soup. Soup is drink separately. Mainly turnips, tofu, eggs, bean sprouts, peanuts in the popiah wrap. Carrot cake is just a literal translation from chinese. Similar to the "carrot cake" in rectangular shape you can get in dim sum places.

Thank you & glad you enjoyed the video. I would not feel confident to comment re the gluten free options in the Hawker Centres etc. Apologies but I would hate to encourage you to visit if you would struggle. Hopefully someone else who sees this comment can help?

Thank you & apologies if the music marred your enjoyment of the video. I only use royalty free music for my videos & unfortunately that makes it a very limited choice. I was hoping that as it was in Chinatown & Chinese New Year when I filmed it that it would be OK. Clearly not for everyone so sorry if you found the music distracting.

im a local. there are many good chicken rice places around Singapore. i would not say Tian Tian is the best but rather a decent starting point. it is of course well known among tourist to their benefit. "Boon tong kee" is another decent one around Singapore

Actually the Chicken Rice stall in Singapore basically the standard is there, so when I feel like eating Chicken Rice, I will go to any Chicken stall near my house. 👍
