- Sampling Local Singapore Food: A Fantastic Hawker Centre Tour in Chinatown
If you have ever wanted to eat local Singapore Food but have no idea where to start, then make sure you check out this tour around #Chinatown & the #HawkerCentres. Booking details are below.
We start with learning how to order coffee and what to eat for breakfast. Then we explore the amazing #StreetArt before tucking into some delicious Hainanese Chicken Rice. Our final stop is the Hawker Centre where we learn how to “chop” (save) a table, what it means to have a Michelin Star and sample some of the local carrot cake…made of radish & not a cake!
A thoroughly fascinating & delicious way to spend a morning in #Singapore!

Singapore food is the most delicious food in the world.
一番
新加坡有很多美食,但是就是不适合那些重口味的人吃罢了 😂😂😂
It is certainly delicious! Glad you enjoyed & thanks for your comment.
@@Sunny-yh3vf尤其是隔壁國的‘曉'人!牠們就會說沒有味道!
As someone who grew up in Singapore, it's always nice to see footages of Hawker Centres as they definitely bring me back to my childhood. Hainanese Chicken will forever be delicious
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video & it brought back happy (& delicious) memories!
Hawker food is definitely a must in Singapore!
Totally agree! And this was the perfect place to learn where to start!
Welcome to Singapore!🤩🤗
Thank you! Loved it!
👍👍👍👏👏👏
😊🙌
For chicken rice we don't dip the rice or chicken into the soup. This will dilute the taste of the chicken/rice and change the taste of the chicken soup. Soup is drink separately. Mainly turnips, tofu, eggs, bean sprouts, peanuts in the popiah wrap. Carrot cake is just a literal translation from chinese. Similar to the "carrot cake" in rectangular shape you can get in dim sum places.
Thank you for your comment & the info. I guess everyone has their preferred way of eating it & we were taking our lead from our guide. Whichever way you choose, I have no doubt it is delicious!
i see food. i subscribed 🤪❤🎉
Thanks for subbing! Food fan here too!
Fantastic insight and video 👍👏 question, are there gluten free options / food available at Hawker centres and in Singapore in general? Cheers
Thank you & glad you enjoyed the video. I would not feel confident to comment re the gluten free options in the Hawker Centres etc. Apologies but I would hate to encourage you to visit if you would struggle. Hopefully someone else who sees this comment can help?
The way you say emm, are you Scottish?
No...English! That's the first time I have heard that, usually I get Australian! 😂
nice video but OMG enough with the chinese music we're Asian but not chinese, also we're more than 5400KM away from china.
I love your videos, well taken with the story and music.👍
Thank you!
Thank you & apologies if the music marred your enjoyment of the video. I only use royalty free music for my videos & unfortunately that makes it a very limited choice. I was hoping that as it was in Chinatown & Chinese New Year when I filmed it that it would be OK. Clearly not for everyone so sorry if you found the music distracting.
Try the maxwell hawker center tian tian chicken rice this is the best chicken rice in Singapore
it's only famous amongst tourists.
Tian Tian is not a great chicken rice
tian tian is not the best. the one at my area go bust.
im a local. there are many good chicken rice places around Singapore. i would not say Tian Tian is the best but rather a decent starting point. it is of course well known among tourist to their benefit. "Boon tong kee" is another decent one around Singapore
Actually the Chicken Rice stall in Singapore basically the standard is there, so when I feel like eating Chicken Rice, I will go to any Chicken stall near my house. 👍
