Swan Lake ~ The Black Swan Pas de Deux
Akane Takada & Federico Bonelli
A beautiful moment from an absolutely stunning ballet! The Black Swan Pas de Deux is one of the most recognisable pas de Deux’s! Here performed by Principal Akane Takada and former Principal Federico Bonelli.
These two dancers make this challenging dance look so effortless, not missing a beat and maintaining their impeccable technique! They both portray their characters so well with so much emotion. You can see the joy they have for the artform and enjoying these fantastic roles!
I am so happy Swan Lake is back on the Royal Opera House Stage this season! Very excited for the upcoming debuts and to see the incredible dancers light up the stage for their audience!
Enjoy!

Her attitude for embodying odile is so on point
Brilliant just brilliant! Her artistry, timing, technique and above all musicality are superb. Federico partners beautifully and they convey the emotions of this better than many I have seen. Bravo 🤩
So beautiful to see this Pas de Duex performed by these two.
Образность, увенчанная лебединым линиями, обжигающее обояние 🎉❤

Akane-san, you're amazing.
Che coppia!
Takane, this music is living in your veins, you are the most inner music!,Basho, the poet, will write for you in the clouds a new haiku!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Takane, japanese🔴GLOIRE VIVANT! Brava🌼🌼🌼🌺
I find her exquisite technically, if slightly off in her musicality once or twice. But she is mostly expressionless and I don't see any attempt (apart from in the coreographic gestures) either to seduce the prince or conspire with Rothbart. This kind of technical dancing is sadly on the rise with the younger generation of dancers. We have gained a lot in their clean lines and precision, but lost a lot in emotion and story telling.
