- On 16 May 2020, Luke Stoltman attempted to break Zydrunas Savickas' 15 Year Log Press World Record by lifting a 230kg log overhead. This is a short comparison video of Luke's attempt vs Big Z's current record of 228kg set in 2015 in Brazil.

He was so close. You can see his left arm just let him down. Also, comparing the length of the two logs, do you think that a longer log like that would make it more or less stable/balanced? I'm thinking a shorter log would help concentrate that weight over your centre of gravity, making it easier.
The weight being more centralized would make it actually harder. Think about benching, squatting, deadlifting, or curling with calibrated plates vs bumper plates
The handles are at same distance so the difference is minimal on balancing. And since there is no whip on the bar like a deadlift bar it probably makes unnoticeable difference
Luke almost got it and Zydrunas is a legend.
