Jeff from across the pond in Alabama, USA. I have 3 bag setups. First is a daypack that I use for one day hikes that also doubles as a get home bag 1-2 days max. Weighs appox 15lbs, no water weight added. Second is my backpacking bag that is currently setup for 1-2 week max long hiking/ camping depending on food but also doubles as a farther distance get home bag. Weighs about 40lbs with food, no water weight added. My third is a very large hunting bag with an external frame capable of carrying up to 200lbs. It's my INCH bag if for some reason I have to leave home and travel somewhere long term off grid. I've still got some things to add and update. This bag is a work in progress and will prob be used in conjuction with a vehicle/ bike etc to help with the weight depending on the situation of bugging out. This bag is also setup with more primitive items whereas the first two are more convenient items that will not be useful after multiple uses i.e. propane cooking stove, MREs, etc. Loved the video though and will def help me as I rebuild my INCH bag.

Good evening sir. My name is Craig and I’m from Connecticut, USA. I like how you have everything in dry bags. I went with a less expensive option and use various sizes of ziplock freezer bags. I have multiple ways to start a fire and multiple ways to treat water. I have a stainless steel canteen with a nesting cup, a Sawyer, a Grayl and water purification tablets. I also carry a sillcock key mostly for urban areas to get water. The headlamp I use has various levels of brightness and a red light. It has a rechargeable battery and also takes AAA batteries and I pack a charger that can charge AA and AAA batteries. I use a Streamlight lantern that takes AA batteries. I carry a light tarp on the outside of my pack that I can set up in no time. I also carry an emergency bivy that is a SOL brand. I also carry a few bandannas that have multiple uses, one being a way to prefilter water. I made a small survival kit that I saw on the Ranger Fieldcraft and Survival page. You have a lot of great ideas, keep up the good work!

Your kit sounds spot on and I can see that you have tailored it to your needs. I get a lot of comments saying that I should have this or that but a CZcams video is just a snap shot in time, not a fully laid out detailed plan for the zombie apocalypse 😂 😂 I too have the sol type bivi bag. Again thanks for time to watch and comment. Hopefully, you have subbed the channel for future content, if not keep doing what you love doing mate.
If you lose the axe and one of the saws, some of the cooking equipment, maybe cut down on some clothes (ex, only carry one raincoat), limit to one light source, limit to one shovel... you will save probably over 5kg without losing any functionality whatsoever. N.K. from USA here, my experience is survival in the sierra nevadas, CO rockies, and appalacians... but mostly the sierra nevadas on the PCT! :)
Hi my name is Jason from Ontario Canada. I built mine in tan, green or camouflaged and my kit is army based like an offensive/defensive set up. Full army uniform, rifle carrying bag with armour, 1 rifle, water bladder. I carry a full snugpak 6 piece sleep system and food for a week. I got tons of other stuff in my bag I won’t go through it all it’s quite basic stuff like a shovel, saw, axe and whatnot. I build a chest rig into a forward plate carrier for use with the backpack. It’s loaded with kit like throwing knives, baton, defensive bear spray, army knife, flashlight, compass, gps, monocular, room for 3 rifle mags and 3 handgun mags. I have drop leg handgun holster on the right and a nice size drop leg fold out med kit on the left Thats my if I’m on foot set up. I got a bunch more stuff I can change things on the go in my bug out trailer. I got many other items like tents and folding chairs Camo tarps and more camping and survival gear. I also have over two years food locked up in my trailer. The back of my hummer has a fold down bed for sleeping and I have everything else I need to survive in the trailer like a 300ah 600 watt solar system, portable toilet and shower system. Extra ammunition. I customized a tent stove that runs on wood or coal and mounts beside me on the right rear door and has a custom window piece to run the stove chimney out the window. I also have a Camo hot tent I can run the same stove in that’s stored in the trailer. It’s taken me so long to get everything together it’s unreal. I got things I haven’t even mentioned but how can you show it all without making a video on my set up. It’s becoming quite advanced I think. I’m happier than shit knowing I got what it takes no matter what situation I run into. It’s a constant process of checking new stuff out and replacing old stuff with new and better. I got like 25 grand spent in two years or more and that includes the trailer and the hummer.
Justin from Ohio here. Very well put together bag. Curious as to weight? I noticed that your gear is quality. Which is important. As you have said, different locations, skill level and situations dictate what is in a bag. I would be very comfortable just grabbing your bag and going. That may be the highest compliment I could give…you have covered the basics, and I believe you have actually used your gear( many do not, they just buy and hope for the best) I also appreciate the addition of gear that makes you comfortable. What many fail to realize, is that yes you can go out and do all the things we do.. but being comfortable or adding a piece of kit that makes you comfortable ( or saves you time) is well worth the weight. You have everything organized, protected and that is crucial.( no fumbling around looking for something) keep up the great work!! If you ever come to Ohio, you have a standing offer to look me up and I will take you on an adventure! ( as a side note, if you would like a great vacation… I’ll be doing a boundary waters expedition this coming September. One week as a camping canoe trip, and the continuous week a survival week. I have enough room left on my permit if you are interested.
Hi there Justin at the time I had no scales so I reckon it is all in 59lbs, without the solar panel and shovel much less. Although, there are lots of compartments of gear the main sack really only holds sleeping bag and hammock and my pillow a real game changer. I hate when you have to scrunch up some clothes to try and get a good nights sleep. Just been off and checked out your channel and of course subbed you up 👍 I will keep your kind offer in the bag my friend I’ve been in America a few times but just as a tourist, so I’d love to get out on a proper adventure. You sound like a well experienced survivalist (Love the prepping stuff) and of course the offer goes two ways my friend.

The one thing I can say is that even if you know how to do something, learning from someone else’s perspective can really, really help you understand the how and why of even the simplest task. Once you understand how and why something works, doing it becomes so much easier in any situation. And that is the end goal, being efficient and competent in any environment. ( now how do I retire and travel the world taking classes from so many great people?) lol if I figure that out , I will see you soon, lol.

Love that pack, but not one likely to be found here in Florida. I think a true INCH bag is almost impossible to carry as you would need traps, fishing gear and both heavy winter gear and summer gear. Great video

Wonderful video! FWIW, I'm in SW Montana, USA. I camp and hike in some pretty wild places as we have vast tracts of fairly pristine forests and mountains (over 240 named peaks in the 10,000 ft or higher range). My gear choices kind of mirror yours. Generally there's plenty of water, and unless a wolf has killed an elk and it's in the stream you can often drink the surface water untreated. Plenty of springs as well. My main focus is on thermoregulation. It's not at all uncommon for a hot summer day to be 30 degrees C yet it still gets down to -1 C a lot of the nights. As you say, something to sleep on, in and under! So I focus on fire & shelter, with a few tools, first aid stuff and navigation. A knife, a saw, a tarp and a good fire kit will go a long ways here. I’m in Mississippi in the USA. Been looking for good suggestions on a good ruck shack load out. Lot of videos on how to pack it with proper load on bearing weight but not what to pack. While everyone be everyone would be different depending on location. This is the best inch bag load out I found Thanks brother

Great vid! I pack heavy with everything I may need. My theory is if it gets to heavy I can “stash” unneeded items for later use/retrieval. I also pack a 110 conibear trap…way easier than having to do all the bushcraft traps, reusable forever and always ready to use. Central New York State.
I agree on the stash protocol, my build is the same, webbing belt, main Bergen and then four rockets on a yoke as a running pack. Bergen is stashed first, then running pack and I still have essentials in the webbing, if that needs stashing I have a 10x4 grabby bag that's basics. Modularity is king imho 👍
This guy has a great kit very similar to mine. There’s so many videos on these bags and very few that are realistic and cover the difference between what you actually need in the field So many things I wanna talk about with this video lol good job man

Great bag and how you outfitted it with the waterproof bags in the individual pouches is perfect. I'm from Hampton, Virginia, USA just down from Colonial Williamsburg. Your kit is amazing. I was wondering about food, but you solved that problem which looked delicious. That is nearly as big as my US Army surplus molle 2 main bag. I love the ourside pouches. Where I live we have hurricanes so my get-home and my inch bags are built around possilbly not having anything to come back to. Amazing ruck you have. We suffer constant rain here hence the need to keep gear waterproof. One minute can be 22 degrees followed by torrential rain 😂 Will do a video of a night out with this pack at some point.

Great video and great job. I'm in the woods once a week for the last 32 years. My bag is 19.6 pounds. My bag evolved into what it is now after starting at 45.5 pound's several years ago. I'm an ex Army Ranger. I'm from south central Louisiana USA. Still do military hikes. I recently made 61 days out of my current bag. The only reason I came home is because I got called for a job. It worked out great. Going back soon. I have a total of 11 kits all in the same weight range. I practice with one and the rest are cached. I'm now 64 years old and I love my life. No regrets. It would be good to see what items you used when you first started and why you shelved them for the items you have now and how your loadout has evolved! Thanks for the comments and views bud. Yes you are on to something there, I like that idea. Coming up hopefully before Christmas is a survival tin that can be knocked together fairly cheaply and can work wonders in any event. I have a bag that costs £12 so perhaps I could do a night in the woods aimed at the beginner. Also just to let you know I’m getting an operation in Dec so might have a delay in content but will be back at as soon as possible. Again thanks for content ideas. Great Video, especcially discussing the Bug out/carring of the weight. Without a regular exercise program; the older "Rambo's (as well as the younger) will not make it more than a few hundred yards before becoming winded. A sound rucking program is required to allow "bugging out" Even here in the US I see pleanty of 300+lb. armchair preppers/hero's making static video's. Many never thing that health is a key component in any survival situation.
Thanks for your time to watch, yeah I’m not a fan of the so called inch bag. I truly believe you cannot live from one, short term yes, long term no way. My pack is to be transported in my truck to my bug out location, once there, hopefully, you will have the resource necessary to stay long term. My next video will focus on bug out and the kind of pack you might wish to carry, generally never more than 10% of body weight. Plus caches along the way if needed to go on foot.

I'd never take a bag that's more than 30 lbs, I'd rather bury cashes in around my Bug out location with comfort items and items that I need to replenish, like freeze dried foods, dried foods in mylar bags with oxygen obsorbers, sugar, and other spices, hygiene items, first aid items, clothes. Burying cashes is the best way to have items at the location without having to carry the whole house with you on your back.
Hi there and thanks for the views and comments. I like that idea and have toyed with it in the past. I agree you should try and go light especially if walking. 50+ pounds is a lot to carry. I sure wish we had the kind of land you guys have. I’m presuming you are from the states?
Phoenix AZ here Ian but have operated around the world. Having cache locations is a great idea (We did in some countries for when things go south). Only issue there is that you can't rely on them because you may not be within reach of your nearest cache when you actually need it and the location where it is may become impassible due to hostile presence or natural occurrence. In those cases, you can only use what's in your pack or what you can gather, but you'll still have to fit it in your pack if you have to gather thing to use that you can't easily just recreate (such as tinder).

Interested to know what your thoughts are on the Don't Die In The Woods tent, blanket and sleeping bag? Are they worth it, given the British weather, or is a thicker kit like your choices better?

Hi Jimmy thanks for the views and comments. Some people have a right old pop at the highlander brand but in my opinion the ones under 50 litre are generally OK. Once you go over the 50 litre mark the stitching tends to be not as good but you get what you pay for. If you intend it for the odd weekend trip then crack on mate. That said, how far are you walking, what kind of weight will you carry? Don’t go to large or you just carry more.😂 Says the man with a shed on his back. I had a 18 litre one for years just to head off for day trips and never had any issues. Hope that helps you. I have spent a lot of money over the years and now have the best of stuff but it’s really not necessary for the odd weekend away.

Jason from minnesota. I love your ruck. It's a great lookin bag. Definitely lotsa pockets!!!! Do u like having all those pockets or if u had a choice wud u just want molle panels?...So u cud put on ur own pouches and organize? My packs have good amounts of molle. I've noticed here in America we are molle crazy!! Packs here tend to use alot of molle. Molle and straps. I hope ur pack is compressible. Compressible is so helpful. Good luck and I recommend that u practice wearing ur bag and exercising like walking etc with this pack on. Ok be well and blessings to u!!! Keep doing what ur doin!!!
Yeah I love the fixed pockets as I’ve found with the Molle it can never be tight enough on packs. Yes the side pockets can come off and then the zips from each side zip together to make a much more slender pack, same as the top medic pouch. The side pouches can also zip together to make a patrol pack. The way the pack is organised makes it big and bulky which a few folk have made comment on, but in fact I’ve seen other such videos on CZcams which although a smaller pack weigh much more. If I cut the crap out I can get it down to 16 kg which is 35lbs. In this format I can easy walk 20k (12 miles) per day. I made the pack up for long term comfort and easy access to those vital items. When I teach I set up base camp throw the patrol pack together and just take the water filter and brew kit, knife and saw for normal daily tasks. For a bug out/INCH bag that is too heavy with a lot of unnecessary stuff, and you're dependent on a vehicle because you bergen is to heavy. You need to be able to tab/ruck for distance per day overland in a lot of SHTF scenarios.
Hi Andrew from Australia, previously South Africa. One of the better kits, but not quiet an INCH bag, light on food gathering, fishing hunting trapping, seeds etc.. In Aus one needs a head net for flies and mosquitoes.

That pack looks amazing! But I guarantee I’d have it packed up to 30 kilos in a heartbeat 😂. That’s A LOT of pockets! Great collection of gear. The first time I brought a shovel I suddenly discovered a 100 uses for it! Don’t bring one every time but it can be handy. Since I’m in the USA I will have additional “gear” including some Bear Spray that you aren’t allowed to have. I’m curious as to what that pack weighs when it’s empty.

Thank you very much for the excellent video! Few remarks: as it this it INCH, maybe the chair is unnecessary. Additionally, I saw too many pockets and heavy-duty waterproof bags - all these items add weight and take up space in your bag. Why not use simple plastic zipped bags that are perfectly waterproof as well?

The bags are ultra-sil bags and really don’t weight much more than the plastic equivalent, 23 grams for the two litre ones, all the bags in the pack come in at under 1kg,but in my opinion definitely worth having as when it rains it rains

Hi Paul thanks for taking the time to watch. Short story 😂 At the start I say I’m not a fan of the concept of the INCH bag, as I believe its a non starter for the very reasons you point out. Yes these items are addressed in the bug out bag video that stays in my truck all the time, therefore, can be swapped out if required. (Fishing Kit/Hunting kit) The side pouch is free for food which will be a separate video. In the video I show the various food items that come from the estates I have access to, as I believe this is the only source of food long term. Rations or a weeks worth of food is not long term, although a weeks worth get you settled in. In the bottom middle pouch I pulled out the water filter bag which I said I will do a separate video on and yes there is a water storage bag and a katadyne pocket filter capable of 55’000 litres at 0.2 microns. There words not mine 😂 I have been working on this over the past few weeks but it won’t stop raining 😂 to get outside.
Never have seen your channel before but you're one cool guy...especially since you like Fenix flashlights, haha. I have 4 of the UC35's...amazing lights that have 5 settings up to 1,000 lumens, strobe, and you can do morse code easily with the tail switch. I've taken notes on several pieces of kit, and thanks for the lesson in understanding Scottish (I'm American -Iowa...we get -40 on occasion...F. or C. makes no difference...brrrr).

Jeff from across the pond in Alabama, USA. I have 3 bag setups. First is a daypack that I use for one day hikes that also doubles as a get home bag 1-2 days max. Weighs appox 15lbs, no water weight added. Second is my backpacking bag that is currently setup for 1-2 week max long hiking/ camping depending on food but also doubles as a farther distance get home bag. Weighs about 40lbs with food, no water weight added. My third is a very large hunting bag with an external frame capable of carrying up to 200lbs. It's my INCH bag if for some reason I have to leave home and travel somewhere long term off grid. I've still got some things to add and update. This bag is a work in progress and will prob be used in conjuction with a vehicle/ bike etc to help with the weight depending on the situation of bugging out. This bag is also setup with more primitive items whereas the first two are more convenient items that will not be useful after multiple uses i.e. propane cooking stove, MREs, etc.
Loved the video though and will def help me as I rebuild my INCH bag.

Good evening sir. My name is Craig and I’m from Connecticut, USA. I like how you have everything in dry bags. I went with a less expensive option and use various sizes of ziplock freezer bags. I have multiple ways to start a fire and multiple ways to treat water. I have a stainless steel canteen with a nesting cup, a Sawyer, a Grayl and water purification tablets. I also carry a sillcock key mostly for urban areas to get water. The headlamp I use has various levels of brightness and a red light. It has a rechargeable battery and also takes AAA batteries and I pack a charger that can charge AA and AAA batteries. I use a Streamlight lantern that takes AA batteries. I carry a light tarp on the outside of my pack that I can set up in no time. I also carry an emergency bivy that is a SOL brand. I also carry a few bandannas that have multiple uses, one being a way to prefilter water. I made a small survival kit that I saw on the Ranger Fieldcraft and Survival page. You have a lot of great ideas, keep up the good work!

Your kit sounds spot on and I can see that you have tailored it to your needs. I get a lot of comments saying that I should have this or that but a CZcams video is just a snap shot in time, not a fully laid out detailed plan for the zombie apocalypse 😂 😂 I too have the sol type bivi bag. If you lose the axe and one of the saws, some of the cooking equipment, maybe cut down on some clothes (ex, only carry one raincoat), limit to one light source, limit to one shovel... you will save probably over 5kg without losing any functionality whatsoever.

Hi my name is Jason from Ontario Canada. I built mine in tan, green or camouflaged and my kit is army based like an offensive/defensive set up. Full army uniform, rifle carrying bag with armour, 1 rifle, water bladder. I carry a full snugpak 6 piece sleep system and food for a week. I got tons of other stuff in my bag I won’t go through it all it’s quite basic stuff like a shovel, saw, axe and whatnot. I build a chest rig into a forward plate carrier for use with the backpack. It’s loaded with kit like throwing knives, baton, defensive bear spray, army knife, flashlight, compass, gps, monocular, room for 3 rifle mags and 3 handgun mags. I have drop leg handgun holster on the right and a nice size drop leg fold out med kit on the left Thats my if I’m on foot set up. I got a bunch more stuff I can change things on the go in my bug out trailer. I got many other items like tents and folding chairs Camo tarps and more camping and survival gear. I also have over two years food locked up in my trailer. The back of my hummer has a fold down bed for sleeping and I have everything else I need to survive in the trailer like a 300ah 600 watt solar system, portable toilet and shower system. Extra ammunition. I customized a tent stove that runs on wood or coal and mounts beside me on the right rear door and has a custom window piece to run the stove chimney out the window. I also have a Camo hot tent I can run the same stove in that’s stored in the trailer. It’s taken me so long to get everything together it’s unreal. I got things I haven’t even mentioned but how can you show it all without making a video on my set up. It’s becoming quite advanced I think. I’m happier than shit knowing I got what it takes no matter what situation I run into. It’s a constant process of checking new stuff out and replacing old stuff with new and better. I got like 25 grand spent in two years or more and that includes the trailer and the hummer.

As you have said, different locations, skill level and situations dictate what is in a bag. I would be very comfortable just grabbing your bag and going. That may be the highest compliment I could give…you have covered the basics, and I believe you have actually used your gear( many do not, they just buy and hope for the best) I also appreciate the addition of gear that makes you comfortable. What many fail to realize, is that yes you can go out and do all the things we do.. but being comfortable or adding a piece of kit that makes you comfortable ( or saves you time) is well worth the weight. You have everything organized, protected and that is crucial.( no fumbling around looking for something) keep up the great work!! If you ever come to Ohio, you have a standing offer to look me up and I will take you on an adventure! ( as a side note, if you would like a great vacation… I’ll be doing a boundary waters expedition this coming September. One week as a camping canoe trip, and the continuous week a survival week. I have enough room left on my permit if you are interested.
Hi there Justin at the time I had no scales so I reckon it is all in 59lbs, without the solar panel and shovel much less. Although, there are lots of compartments of gear the main sack really only holds sleeping bag and hammock and my pillow a real game changer. I hate when you have to scrunch up some clothes to try and get a good nights sleep. Just been off and checked out your channel and of course subbed you up 👍 I will keep your kind offer in the bag my friend I’ve been in America a few times but just as a tourist, so I’d love to get out on a proper adventure. Love that pack, but not one likely to be found here in Florida. I think a true INCH bag is almost impossible to carry as you would need traps, fishing gear and both heavy winter gear and summer gear. Great video

Wonderful video! FWIW, I'm in SW Montana, USA. I camp and hike in some pretty wild places as we have vast tracts of fairly pristine forests and mountains (over 240 named peaks in the 10,000 ft or higher range). My gear choices kind of mirror yours. Generally there's plenty of water, and unless a wolf has killed an elk and it's in the stream you can often drink the surface water untreated. Plenty of springs as well. My main focus is on thermoregulation. It's not at all uncommon for a hot summer day to be 30 degrees C yet it still gets down to -1 C a lot of the nights. As you say, something to sleep on, in and under! So I focus on fire & shelter, with a few tools, first aid stuff and navigation. A knife, a saw, a tarp and a good fire kit will go a long ways here.

Great vid! I pack heavy with everything I may need. My theory is if it gets to heavy I can “stash” unneeded items for later use/retrieval. I also pack a 110 conibear trap…way easier than having to do all the bushcraft traps, reusable forever and always ready to use. Central New York State.

I agree on the stash protocol, my build is the same, webbing belt, main Bergen and then four rockets on a yoke as a running pack.
Bergen is stashed first, then running pack and I still have essentials in the webbing, if that needs stashing I have a 10x4 grabby bag that's basics.
Modularity is king imho 👍

Great video and great job. I'm in the woods once a week for the last 32 years. My bag is 19.6 pounds. My bag evolved into what it is now after starting at 45.5 pound's several years ago. I'm an ex Army Ranger. I'm from south central Louisiana USA. Still do military hikes. I recently made 61 days out of my current bag. The only reason I came home is because I got called for a job. It worked out great. Going back soon. I have a total of 11 kits all in the same weight range. I practice with one and the rest are cached. I'm now 64 years old and I love my life. No regrets.

Thanks for the comments and views bud. Yes you are on to something there, I like that idea. Coming up hopefully before Christmas is a survival tin that can be knocked together fairly cheaply and can work wonders in any event. I have a bag that costs £12 so perhaps I could do a night in the woods aimed at the beginner. Also just to let you know I’m getting an operation in Dec so might have a delay in content but will be back at as soon as possible. Again thanks for content ideas. Great Video, especcially discussing the Bug out/carring of the weight. Without a regular exercise program; the older "Rambo's (as well as the younger) will not make it more than a few hundred yards before becoming winded. A sound rucking program is required to allow "bugging out" Even here in the US I see pleanty of 300+lb. armchair preppers/hero's making static video's. Many never thing that health is a key component in any survival situation.
Thanks for your time to watch, yeah I’m not a fan of the so called inch bag. I truly believe you cannot live from one, short term yes, long term no way. My pack is to be transported in my truck to my bug out location, once there, hopefully, you will have the resource necessary to stay long term. My next video will focus on bug out and the kind of pack you might wish to carry, generally never more than 10% of body weight. Plus caches along the way if needed to go on foot.

I'd never take a bag that's more than 30 lbs, I'd rather bury cashes in around my Bug out location with comfort items and items that I need to replenish, like freeze dried foods, dried foods in mylar bags with oxygen obsorbers, sugar, and other spices, hygiene items, first aid items, clothes.
Burying cashes is the best way to have items at the location without having to carry the whole house with you on your back.

Phoenix AZ here Ian but have operated around the world. Having cache locations is a great idea (We did in some countries for when things go south). Only issue there is that you can't rely on them because you may not be within reach of your nearest cache when you actually need it and the location where it is may become impassible due to hostile presence or natural occurrence. In those cases, you can only use what's in your pack or what you can gather, but you'll still have to fit it in your pack if you have to gather thing to use that you can't easily just recreate (such as tinder).

Hi Jimmy thanks for the views and comments. Some people have a right old pop at the highlander brand but in my opinion the ones under 50 litre are generally OK. Once you go over the 50 litre mark the stitching tends to be not as good but you get what you pay for. If you intend it for the odd weekend trip then crack on mate. That said, how far are you walking, what kind of weight will you carry? Don’t go to large or you just carry more.😂 Says the man with a shed on his back. I had a 18 litre one for years just to head off for day trips and never had any issues. Hope that helps you. I have spent a lot of money over the years and now have the best of stuff but it’s really not necessary for the odd weekend away.

Jason from minnesota. I love your ruck. It's a great lookin bag. Definitely lotsa pockets!!!! Do u like having all those pockets or if u had a choice wud u just want molle panels?...So u cud put on ur own pouches and organize? My packs have good amounts of molle. I've noticed here in America we are molle crazy!! Packs here tend to use alot of molle. Molle and straps. I hope ur pack is compressible. Compressible is so helpful. Good luck and I recommend that u practice wearing ur bag and exercising like walking etc with this pack on. Ok be well and blessings to u!!! Keep doing what ur doin!!!
Yeah I love the fixed pockets as I’ve found with the Molle it can never be tight enough on packs. Yes the side pockets can come off and then the zips from each side zip together to make a much more slender pack, same as the top medic pouch. The side pouches can also zip together to make a patrol pack. The way the pack is organised makes it big and bulky which a few folk have made comment on, but in fact I’ve seen other such videos on CZcams which although a smaller pack weigh much more. If I cut the crap out I can get it down to 16 kg which is 35lbs. In this format I can easy walk 20k (12 miles) per day. I made the pack up for long term comfort and easy access to those vital items. When I teach I set up base camp throw the patrol pack together and just take the water filter and brew kit, knife and saw for normal daily tasks. I don't think Britain has enough "wilderness" left for half the preppers in the entire country.
For a bug out/INCH bag that is too heavy with a lot of unnecessary stuff, and you're dependent on a vehicle because you bergen is to heavy. You need to be able to tab/ruck for distance per day overland in a lot of SHTF scenarios.
Hi Andrew from Australia, previously South Africa. One of the better kits, but not quiet an INCH bag, light on food gathering, fishing hunting trapping, seeds etc.. In Aus one needs a head net for flies and mosquitoes.

That pack looks amazing! But I guarantee I’d have it packed up to 30 kilos in a heartbeat 😂. That’s A LOT of pockets! Great collection of gear. The first time I brought a shovel I suddenly discovered a 100 uses for it! Don’t bring one every time but it can be handy. Since I’m in the USA I will have additional “gear” including some Bear Spray that you aren’t allowed to have. I’m curious as to what that pack weighs when it’s empty.

Thanks for the time bud. Yes it’s the way I’ve packed it. The sleeping bag and pillow together with the down under blanket all attached for easy set up. You can of course pack them all separately in there individual stuff stacks which takes up quarter of the room.

Thank you very much for the excellent video! Few remarks: as it this it INCH, maybe the chair is unnecessary. Additionally, I saw too many pockets and heavy-duty waterproof bags - all these items add weight and take up space in your bag. Why not use simple plastic zipped bags that are perfectly waterproof as well?

The bags are ultra-sil bags and really don’t weight much more than the plastic equivalent, 23 grams for the two litre ones, all the bags in the pack come in at under 1kg,but in my opinion definitely worth having as when it rains it rains

Hi Paul thanks for taking the time to watch. Short story 😂 At the start I say I’m not a fan of the concept of the INCH bag, as I believe its a non starter for the very reasons you point out. Yes these items are addressed in the bug out bag video that stays in my truck all the time, therefore, can be swapped out if required. (Fishing Kit/Hunting kit) The side pouch is free for food which will be a separate video. In the video I show the various food items that come from the estates I have access to, as I believe this is the only source of food long term. Rations or a weeks worth of food is not long term, although a weeks worth get you settled in. In the bottom middle pouch I pulled out the water filter bag which I said I will do a separate video on and yes there is a water storage bag and a katadyne pocket filter capable of 55’000 litres at 0.2 microns. There words not mine 😂 I have been working on this over the past few weeks but it won’t stop raining 😂 to get outside.

Never have seen your channel before but you're one cool guy...especially since you like Fenix flashlights, haha. I have 4 of the UC35's...amazing lights that have 5 settings up to 1,000 lumens, strobe, and you can do morse code easily with the tail switch. I've taken notes on several pieces of kit, and thanks for the lesson in understanding Scottish (I'm American -Iowa...we get -40 on occasion...F. or C. makes no difference...brrrr).
