Brian what wire do you use? I’m looking for a cheaper alternative to what is found in Fly shops. Beadalon or whatever it is seems super smooth and doesn’t seem like it’d hold.

I actually use a beading wire from Wal-Mart. It is WAY cheaper than Beadalon and has a more "rough' texture. Most of the guys use and swear by Beadalon, if you tie it in right, it isn't going to slip.
