56:08 Conclusion, Dear Andy tomorrow! andystapleson3@gmail.com
But first, we’ve got to talk about what Mike Gundy said. The Oklahoma State coach appeared at Big 12 Media Days on Tuesday and explained why he’s not suspending star tailback Ollie Gordon following Gordon’s recent arrest on a charge of driving under the influence. Gundy did some beer math live on ESPN and the backlash came understandably quickly.
Gundy has never worried too much about what anyone else thinks, and Andy wonders if Gundy has reached a point where he’s essentially in “screw it” mode. Andy also explains why the current state of things has put Gundy in a place where he can feel that way.
Next, Pete joins the show to talk about Arch Manning’s EA Sports College Football 25 okey-doke. Plus, Andy and Pete break down some of the more interesting tidbits from Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark’s press conference at media days.
Later, Andy examines more of what we learned at Big 12 Media Days, including the fact that Kansas State QB Avery Johnson doesn’t think the video game got his magnificent hair correct. Plus, Utah QB Cam Rising reminds everyone why the return of Utah-BYU as a conference game is going to be spectacular.

Gundy was being honest, but it is the truth. Most people that drink and drive don’t get caught. There is also a thin line between drinking too much and drinking the right amount to drive. Wrong is wrong, but I do understand what Gundy is saying.

Andy - as a point of clarification the last time a 2x defending FCS champion went to a P5 school was on 2013 when NDSU travelled to and beat defending B12 Champs Kansas State

well it just says that the days of college football players being treated like students is over they are paid employees and will be treated like it

Many people can easily go over the legal limit of .08 with 2 8 oz glasses of wine, or a few margaritas which was his point, and I have seen many people do that even though they lie about it. The AMA actually recommended a .10 legal limit because that is when significant motor loss control happens, but MADD convinced them to lower it.

Didn't Arch say he wasn't going to take any NIL money until he was the starter? Is that out the window?

      Bro- yes.
He desired to focus on football.
If you have concerns- go research where his NIL is going.

  • @PurpleHazeVanNederlands

Why do you want a superleague so much? It will kill so many programs and destroys everything cfb stands for and makes it unique. The regular season has already been ruined and players are paid what else needs to be changed?

Saying well no big deal after a guy died because of a drunk driver and the Henry Ruggs situation is an odd choice.

No one cares if you play the new game. We’ve been waiting 11 years. Team ratings will fluctuate and be updated as the year goes along. Someone always feels the need to bitch

Mike Gundy can do no wrong to them folks.
But College coaches need to hold players more accountable for breaking the law over wins and losses, it could actually save a kid's life in the long run if they really care like they say they do.

You have effectively just alienated a good chunk of your recent subscribers...you can block me or cry to you tube because you think my posts calling you out are offensive and really It's no big deal to me....one day real soon you will be scrambling to get on the NEBRASKA Train and don't you dare be offended if your told there is no room for self appointed football gurus.
