EXO was originally 12 members but from 2013 to 2016, 3 Chinese members left because of disagreements. Now they have 9 members: 8 of whom are Korean and 1 (Lay Zhang) is a Chinese member. Lay is still in EXO but his contract with SM ENT. expired this year. While he's not an SM artist anymore, LAY is still very much part of EXO.
In this video, there's only 6 of them because SUHO, the leader, and CHEN, one of the main vocalist, were serving in the mandatory military enlistment.
As of the present, 4 of them accomplished their military service, while BAEKHYUN and CHANYEOL are still serving. 2 other members, SEHUN and KAI, have yet to enlist yet. ♥️
EXO is the greatest for real
There were 7 in this video. Lay wasn't in ALL the dance numbers but they CGed him into some of them, so he was "in" the MV. And he sang on the whole track.

@@iyibae615 that's not ture, Lay can join a group's big CB , but yes he can't participate in all the group activities or all CB and fans know it very well, but we can't say he is not part of EXO anymore at all, It's just complicated and SM also tried to linked him with EXO.Also we don't know if all the EXO will renewed their contract or not ,but they already said contract or not they will be together ( it's EXO can't be a regular kpop group anymore as they are more focused on individual career nowadays)
The 3 Chinese members left between 2014-2015. Since 2019, EXO is on hiatus as they take turns enlisting. During DFTF (album released in 2021), Chen and Suho were in the military. They didn't do any promo for this album as Baekhyun and Chanyeol soon enlisted after the album was released. DFTF is not an actual comeback but a special album for the fans while we wait. So that's why the songs in the album are light and bright. A lot of the groups now have their success because the companies aimed to promote them on a global scale by partnering with Western entertainment companies.
However, EXO worked their ass off and became KINGS OF KPOP despite SM Entertainment's mistreatment and lack of promotion. And from the time they debut, they had ZERO Western promotions at all. The fact that they shot to fame and became GLOBAL superstars based on talent alone is out of this world.

EXO has 9 members. The numbers vary every comeback due to military enlistment and the only chinese member Lay has a solo career in China and has been there since 2017 due to Korea- China political issues.

This song is from EXO comeback album on 2021 without any promotion, with 7/9 members (6 Korean 1 Chinese) and 2 members on military service...that's the greatest EXO and always stan to them.

Don't fight the feeling is the recent album of Exo which was released last year. Few members are missing since they are in military and few members in this mv is currently doing military enlistment. This whole album is special to Exo fans because this was an album released just for the fans. They was no promotion but still they became million sellers. You can just see they are just enjoying in this music video and dedicated this to fans who waited for them during the hiatus.
Yes please, Exo's Live Performances next. It's better to watch than their mvs. You'll be blown away by their talents that will make you set your standards to the highest level and no other groups can compare.

Well guys, we have a lot of information to know about EXO, let's start first. They are 9 members because some of them serve in the military for a year and a half and some have finished two years. Some members have finished. We still have others to go. They made this song and album for their fans EXO-L for being away from us for a long time. We love each other very much and we have a relationship Distinguished and EXO in the past consisted of 12 members, but 3 of them left and we now have 9 Chinese members and the rest are Korean. We have a special concept. There is no example in kpop. Books before they even find members of the group EXO who come from another planet and have superpowers. All mv are linked together and behind them is the story of EXO managed to sell tickets for their concert in Seoul in just 0.2 seconds, thus becoming the fastest group to sell their entire concert tickets. But it seems that it managed to achieve it for the second time in a row, disrupting the selling sites from the flow of fans who rush to buy. 😁 and yes they are more best in live

Lay (Chinese member) is also here ! Chen and Suho were in the military during this, so they were absent in this album. They filmed this music video just before Chanyeol and Baekhyun went to the military and just a little after Xiumin and D.O. got discharged from the military.🥺❤️

Hey guys are you reading your comments down in the comment section? Lol I explained why the number of members fluctuate depending on which year. There's 7 in this video because Suho and Chen were in the military. There's only 6 in the Obsession mv because Xiumin, DO and Lay were not in it as Xiumin and DO were serving in the military and Lay (the one they cgi'ed in this mv with the red shirt) spends most of his time in China as he has a very very very successful solo career. When EXO first began, there were 12 members. 6 in EXO-K (K for Korean) and 6 in EXO-M (M for Mandarin). EXO-M had 4 chinese members and 2 Korean members who sang in mandarin. Both groups sang most of the same songs but in different languages.
After awhile all 12 were combined to make just EXO. Two chinese members (Kris and Luhan) left in 2014. Their last appearance is in the Overdose mv and the third Chinese member Tao left in 2015. His last appearance is in the Call Me Baby mv. Any video after 2015 will have 8 or 9 until 2019 when enlistments began. 2022 of April, Lay (the 4th and final Chinese member) decided not to renew his contract with SM entertainment but said he will still be available whenever his EXO brothers need him so he's still technically a member of EXO. So there's 9 members but 8 full time EXO members

Some may not agree but I agree but for me, EXO is the standard. A lot of male kpop groups do have EXO members as their model. Even one of the musical producers mentioned that other companies are asking to make their groups sound like EXO.

In EXO's "Don't Fight the Feeling" they used green screen during a lot of the MV because Lay -- the one with the red shirt -- was unable to be in Korea to shoot the MV, so he shot all his parts separate in his studio in China and they inserted them into the MV. This MV was released in June 2021 -- during the pandemic -- and it was shot right before Baekhyun and Chanyeol enlisted in the military. This mini album was a special project they did for EXO-Ls (EXO fans) because Xiumin and D.O. had just been discharged -- which is one reason why they have a prominent role in the MV -- and Chanyeol and Baekhyun were about to enlist. (Suho and Chen had already enlisted before this MV was planned, so they were the only members who did not participate.) So there were only 7 members of the 9 member group in this MV. EXO won't be all back together for a comeback again until 2024-25 -- because their last two youngest members, Kai and Sehun, will probably be enlisting by the end of this year. The members of EXO currently are 28-32 years old.
"Don't Fight the Feeling" is a milestone for fans because this is the first time we have seen Lay back together with EXO since 2016, because of all the political issues between Korea and China.
As you see in the MV, EXO are literally from EXO Planet. As you are starting to discover, the group's whole concept since their debut in 2012 is that they are aliens who have come from Planet Exo on a mission to protect the Tree of LIfe from the Red Force and to stop the Red Force from inflicting their evil agenda on humanity.
Exo, as in exoskeleton, means "outer," so as a member of EXO they are outside the ordinary.The group's concept comes from the real term exoplanet, which is a term that is used for a planet that is outside our solar system, so their name was chosen to represent the fact that they are stars that are "out of this world" when it comes to their talents. SM Entertainment has all of EXO's release dates and concepts planned out for years in advance, and it is all designed to be another chapter in EXO's story.
"Don't Fight the Feeling" is also connected to EXO's and SuperM's storyline and it's all part of SM's Universe. If you follow the storylines of all of SM's groups you will see connections can be made with "Don't Fight the Feeling" to EXO's story, as well as several of SM's other groups' MVs. For example, the flag you see in this MV should remind you of the flags you see as the logo during EXO's "Obsession" comeback, as well as the flags you will see if you watch EXO's live concert performance of their song "El Dorado", and the scene with Sehun on the motorcycle should remind you of the scenes with him on the motorcycle when you watch EXO's "Tempo" and "Lightsaber" MVs, etc.
The meteors and the explosions, etc. are all part of SM's Universe storyline, as well. You see the planet burning at the end of EXO's "Obsession" MV and you will see everything on fire when you watch Lay's solo "Sheep" Alan Walker Relift version MV. There are also meteor showers happening in several of EXO's concert VCR and MV teaser concept videos, etc. And I think it's even connected to the meteor shower you see happening in WayV's "Moonwalk" MV, etc.
And I think the blue drink we see Kai drinking has something to do with the blue drink we see EXO drinking in their "Ko Ko Bop" MV.
This storyline has been going on for more than 10 years, so it's really complex and hard to follow unless you really dive in deep and pay attention to even the most minute of details in all of the MVs, teaser videos, concert performances, concert VCRs, members' solo content and sub-unit work, etc. from EXO, as well as a large majority of all of SM's other groups' content.
Fun fact: If you notice, they use red, white and blue all over in this MV, which are South Korea's colors. Plus, red and blue are all part of EXO's storyline. As mentioned before, with everything EXO does, red represents the Red Force and blue is thought to represent EXO. So when you see the red light this is where the Red Force is thought to have control and when you see blue, this is thought to be where EXO has the upper hand. When you see purple -- red and blue mixed together make purple -- or both red and blue together in the same scene, this is often where the lines are blurred and the Red Force and EXO are fighting for control or battling each other for power.
Therefore, because we see EXO in blue and black when they are part of the crew of the ship -- similar to the outfits we saw in their "Obsession" MV -- this is most likely an indication that this is EXO. However, when we see them in the group "party scene" this could possibly be X-EXO, EXO's alter ego clones created by the Red Force. We see Lay in red and other members with red accents, so they might be under the Red Forces' control.

They wanted a fun, happy song just for exols, so it’s not really a favorite among other people but that’s okay 👍 EXO has 9 members! They’re on hiatus or doing solo work during their enlistment era. EXO is SM’s Ace group! They’re the whole package 😎 They originally started as 12 members, 3 Chinese left in 2014-2015 and they continued as 9 members up until recently when the only Chinese member Lay also left SM (we don’t know though if he can still participate in exo activities. He’s been inactive since 2017 due to some political issues between China and Korea). You should know that EXO have a unique concept since debut so I suggest reaction to a guide to get an idea about it. To say that in EXO someone is better and someone is worse is simply IMPOSSIBLE because absolutely every participant is unrealistically talented, this is literally an IDEAL GROUP. Every EXO group and solo album is on a completely different level to this day, even after 10 years of career. I am absolutely not afraid to say that EXO is a real K-POP, now there are countless groups in the fourth generation, but they absolutely do not stand out in any way, trying to focus more and more on the West and POP music, thereby becoming monotonous and disposable. EXO is the only band in the entire K-POP industry, by the way, to this day where literally every member sings amazingly, including rappers and dancers. Minute popularity does not determine the talent and legendarity of the artist, because even after 10 years of his career, EXO songs are literally sung by the whole of Asia, because EXO is the real K-POP. I will never stop admiring this amazing band, even if 40 years pass, let a billion more bands like bts be released, they will never surpass EXO because their music is timeless, this is what defines the legendary artist.

Thank you guys for loving EXO ✨🙂❤️ this is their latest album as a group but missing 2 members (leader suho and main vocalists Chen because they were still serving in the military at the time). So we had 7 members in this mv. Exo is 9 in total but 12 originally (3 Chinese members left at the beginning to focus on their own music in China) Lays Contract ended a few days ago but he is still part of Exo and he needs to focus on his own entertainment company in China as well :)

If you want to hear them sing live, you should go check their acoustic session on their concerts.
EXO initially had 12 members. 3 Chinese members left between 2014-2015. Now they have 9 members but here in this album they are only 7 members. 2 of them had gone for mandatory military service. D.O., Xiumin, Suho and Chen are now done with service but Baekhyun and Chanyeol are still there. The youngest members Sehun and Kai are yet to serve. Lay won't serve because he is Chinese. So until 2025 we won't have activities with all 9 members as Kai and Sehun are likely enlisting this year some time. But I'm sure they will release an album or two with the members present.
Oh by the way, so far all members except Xiumin, Chanyeol and Sehun have solo albums. Xiumin is working on his and I'm sure Chanyeol will release one when he gets out of military.
My bias is D.O. and all other members are my bias wreckers. I love these boys

Don't Fight The feeling is not the typical EXO song , it didn't match with their own standard , so it's okey to not fully vibe with it , but fans adore it , It was a gift for fans , EXO members prepared a mini album in 3 months just for fans , as they are in hiatus. So this EXO's military era , that's why you see 7 members ( 6 physical and 1 member had to cg in here because he was in china because covid he couldn't travel) so no contract disagreement . Yes members left (3 members) but in 2014-15 , now they are 9 members but Lay's contract ended but he will join when he can in future. You will see poor cgi in this MV , because some of the members couldn't there until the MV release they had to rush,they had to join military,so this song wasn't promoted at all.For now 4 members finished military,2members are in military , 2 will join this year , 1 is Chinese.
