Thank you so much for this video. I was struggling to get the earrings I was making to work put them aside and said I'm going to watch a video on how to. I picked yours as usual and watched and said duh I was doing it wrong. I was pressing the earring to the picture. Woke up this morning came in and pressed the picture to the earring and it worked perfectly. Again thank you so much.

Hi Angie. I really enjoyed this video and I'm so glad that I came across it. Your video is the first one that I have came across that does both sides of the earrings at the same time, which makes sense to me. Thank God someone else feels the same way I do 😊. I couldn't figure out for the life of me, why people don't Sublimate both sides at the same time. So, I just want to say Thank You 😊. Your earrings turned out so Beautiful. Thank you for this video! I'm getting ready to try some earrings and keychains soon so it was nice to see the different materials. I am also going to be trying acrylic blanks as well. That gives them more of a transparent look though and I'm not sure if that's what I want yet! I used to make jewelry with metal trays and glass. Boy was that frustrating to get right! It all had to do with using the right paper, right ink so it wouldn't smear or run, and then using just enough of the right glue under the glass so it would cover the whole thing smoothly, but not ooze over, and if there were any air pockets it would leave a spot that almost looked like glitter, but not as nice! I ended up gluing my glass onto the image first, letting it dry, then trimming it and gluing it into the trays! It's all about trial and error and experimenting!! Part of the "fun" creative process, that can be SO frustrating at times! 😂 Thank you for sharing not only your successes but also your "fails"! At least we know we're not alone!!

But have you found a different faux leather that does work to sub on? I have tried mdf earrings. But I like the look of faux leather earrings better. I’d love to be able to sub directly on the earring blank that’s faux leather instead of subbing on vinyl, then applying the vinyl to the faux leather.

These are a lot of work for the studs just my opinion. I do not get the sublimation studs. This is the simpler way- (everything I purchase for the stud earrings I purchase off of Amazon.)I get the regular studs that come with the dome, and the backs only, no sublimation metal circles. These are way cheaper without the little metal circle. Instead of sublimation I use glossy sticker paper, with super glue gel. I use my regular printer to print on the sticker paper. Glossy photo setting on printer. I use my Cricut to print then cut the sticker paper. Stick the sticker to the earring. Then glue them with super glue gel. Then clamp them down till dry. I find that if you do not clamp them down even when using jewelry glue they tend to get bubbles. You don't even notice till the next day when they dry that the bubbles appear. Just to let you know the super glue gel does not run the ink when using your regular printer, and glossy sticker paper. No warming up my heat press. This way of doing the earrings save so much more time. I guess if you love sublimation, or do not have a regular printer, this video would be an option for the sublimation lover. But I have to be a time saver.
