I still can't believe they didn't put Ethernet ports on the starlink router. It's ridiculous.
I've got the same thing myself, only had it setup for a few days. Was testing downloads and ping and thankfully a friend at work had the ethernet port insert that I could borrow. Using it, ping issues were almost immediately fixed and downloads got about 5 times faster than using wifi. Far better internet than what I had before, so I'm ordering the ethernet port cable, but I'm still dumbfounded that it didn't just have an ethernet port on the modem to begin with.
WHY?
The main reason they dont put any lan ports is so that you can't resale the internet such as using it in piso wifi...it must be use as residential only not for business
@@ArielTulidRemix If that's their thinking it's pretty naive when you consider you could just buy a WiFi repeater that will take the WiFi signal, and from that create an ethernet network.
Plus i found out they have available adapter in there store that is costs so maybe another business strategy to add more income at 3k+ budget for that adapter
I split the bands but only my iPhone 13 Pro Max gets the 5GHZ and it struggles. Sometimes it does sometimes it doesn’t until I reboot my phone. Shockingly my Ps5 gets it all the time. Also when I use the default mode without splitting. My iPhone and ps5 always connects to 5GHZ BUT My gaming pC and my Oneplus 10T connect to 2.4ghz they never detect the 5GHZ. This isn’t the device issues Because I’ve connected 5GHZ Wi-Fi on both before.
Will an external router fix this issue? It’s very annoying
Starlink works extremely well with the GL-B2200 Velica mesh router and this is with all the bells and whistles turned on including the built-in Adguard home and Wireguard VPN. OpenVPN was as latent as it usually is compared to Wireguard. Amazon carries it for a song now.
Great content. And probably the only router config guide we need.
I've been using starlink for about 6 months now. i had a few issues at first with a dodgy ethernet adapter, but fair play to starlink they sent out a complete new setup straightaway even though i only needed the ethernet adapter.
Im using a mercusys wifi6 mesh system and its performed brilliantly, i have had to reboot my starlink router a few times as it starts to drop speeds after being in bypass for a while
I don't have the Starlink kit yet, but I'm quite positive this would come in handy someday. Thanks for the quick education which was straight to the point. Cheers
You're welcome, thanks for the feedback!
@@StarlinkHardware I order my STARLINK like 19 days ago
I live in OHIO USA east coast how long you think it will take me get my STARLINK ?
@@Whothatguy5544Took me 2 years to get mine, also US east but we ordered when it was backed up
Something to note, Starlink makes it very clear in their documentation that their hardware may not play nice with other routers. I had quite a bit of problems with Netgear routers, requiring me to reboot them several times a month to keep the connection up and stable. I have since switched to an AmpliFi (Ubiquiti) setup, and so far it's been A LOT better. I checked out your list, and I was using the nighthawk routers, and they were nothing but problematic with Starlink. I would steer clear of them IMO.
Thanks for the info. I have heard a lot of people recommend Ubiquiti, I will have to check them out.

My Starlink works well, but I have set to failover on my ASUS AC3400. Unfortunately using dual WAN balanced with Spectrum has made my Disney plus freak out... and my CZcams. They kept thinking I was someone else as it load balanced. I guess they are not getting a lot of dual ISP customers yet.

...ethernet adapter via tenda router..
Thank you for the video and a chance to discuss this.
I didn’t read through all comments but my advice is to bypass SL router first (after verifying your SL system is working properly) before plugging in your 3rd party router to the Ethernet adapter. This isn’t mentioned in this video. I followed the video instructions verbatim and after plugging in my router I could not access the SL router settings (in the app) in order to “enable bypass”. Got a message that it was “unreachable “. It was still broadcasting the SSID and still functioning as a access point and router but I could not drill into settings. SL support was able to do something on their end to allow me to finally access router the SL settings. From there I bypassed, plugged in my netgear router, rebooted the NG router and everything worked perfectly.
Thanks for the tip. Recap, bypass SL with app then plug in aftermarket router. Got it.
Checking back in because my TP Link router arrived today. I did what you said and bypassed SL first. No error messages everything went well. Thanks for people like you lending good info. Right on!
Do I have to have a direct straight line from the house to the barn to get wifi at the barn?
I just gave up. Resetted SL router to delete the bypass.
...So in 1993 I unplugged my Sega Genesis 6 times and can you guess what happened?? Aside from that marketing exec's bad call to save money everything is great including this video! Very helpful!
I'm sorry, what?
Hi, thx for your video. Is it required to set the SL router to bypass mode? How can I set the dish to stow when I tavel with the RV? Because the app is no longer running without SL router, right?
Thank you for your input , just purchased Starlink roam for our RV. I have no light on the bottom of the router, I checked the plug and outlet for power. Plug is secured and confirmed outlet is hot , still no light. In your opinion do you think the new router is defective? TYIA.
As has been explained more than once here:
Anything about PoE injectors is ALSO about using a Starlink Internet system where mains power is NOT available.
Where mains power IS AVAILABLE but another router is more suitable, it is far easier to simply buy the Starlink Ethernet adapter
THEN bypass the Starlink router and use your own router OR do NOT bypass the Starlink router and USE BOTH.
how would you use both?
@@jsnx9067 - Connect a second router to your Starlink via WiFi bridge mode without the need for an ethernet adapter, which lets you use both a the same time or just the second router depending on your needs.

My Starlink should arrive next week, for what I understood the wi-fi will not work with door camera or camera systems unless I acquire a third party router and bypass the Starlink router? hello , merci beaucoup pour cette video explicative entre le routeur Starlink et un routeur perso !..cool !..😀👍👍🙏
Can you control all devices connected to your starlink?
secondly, can you use access point for wider range of internet connection and how to do the wiring?
Exactly what I was looking for. Just added a 5G Router (FritzBox 6850 5G) in a US 5th wheel here in europe but experienced today that the 5G connection is quite bad where I‘m planning to set up my rig. So I thought I still can switch over to Starlink but don’t wanna loose the functionality on my FritzBox Router like SIP telephony with all the comfort functions, WireGuard VPN, strong WiFi6 and DECT base station. The only question I‘m still trying to get answered is if I get an external IP that’s reachable from the internet with starlink.
Only Business accounts get a publicly reachable IP from Starlink.
WireGuard is the shznit compared to regular VPN. Much faster and more reliable in my experience. ;)
If i enable bypass mode will the port forward rules work? Thanks
Ax2400 And ax5400 are basically the same in specs, will the ax2400 be a prefect pair for the starlink?

QUESTION: What are the shortcomings of the Starlink router that the ethernet adapter and a Netgear type switch couldn't handle? Is the router that bad?
how was the speed after you bypass?
Hi, is it possible to connect a Fritz Repeater (1160) to a Starlink Router (V2) so that the Range a bit better is?
Does the Starlink still does the UTP routing, in case I plug in the utp cable into a hub 1st?

Successfully connected Starlink (Bypass Mode) to EERO Pro 6E Mesh Network with 12 AP's supporting 16 Ring Cameras, Ring Pro Alarm, 8 Motion Sensors and 36 Ecobee thermostats. Using this setup to monitor a office location that remains empty since the pandemic. Had to limit the number of T-stats, originally had 78 connected and they were flooding the network. Discovered that Ecobee's act as a repeater looking for sensors, tripling data broadcasting and knocking the AP's down. Long story short, current config works great on the Starlink Network (Priority 1TB Plan).
Can I use Intermet switch in order to connect 2 PCs instead of another Wi-Fi?
thanks! greetings from Ukraine
Can I manage user data limit on a 3rd party router? I need a setup that gives me for example 1GB for one users or generate codes to connect to my network with a known data limit
Can I hook up through the ethernet cable AND still keep wifi in my home for other users?
What happens if I don't bypass will I essentially have a wifi repeater using the TP link like a extension to my network.
Will that work?
Hi and thanks for your helpful SL videos. I am about to undertake your 12v conversion for using SL in our caravan travels and I note in this video that the replacement router is plugged into SL's ethernet adapter without changing the end fitting of the routers cable, that being so it seems likely that my dilemma of configuring the router has been solved. It is my intention to NOT USE the adapter and to modify the cable in the caravan for the 12v mod and I was unsure of how to configure the new router. A short comment most welcome.
This video covers bypassing the router in a traditional AC power scenario. For the 12V conversion, you'll need to do everything covered in that video, just with the cable directly and not with the Ethernet Adapter. Your aftermarket router will plug into the data port on the PoE injector. One end of the router Ethernet cable will need to be converted.
Message me asap I can help with your issue look up SpaceTek 12v-24v dishy
@@StarlinkHardware Thanks for your very prompt reply, my main concern was how I might configure settings in a new router and I now understand that I could connect via the traditional 240V method, connect the new router to the SL ethernet adapter and adjust any settings before carrying out the router cable and power lead modifications for the 12v system and it will then be ready for connection in the modified power set up. I have two cables, one for domestic use plus a second for our caravan use. We are in Australia and are able to have a domestic system with portability unless Elon decides to make changes in the future!
Would the same scenario be possible without disabling the Starlink router? Having both Starlink and Tplink routers working?
Great video thank you. Looking to get Wi-Fi in my metal shop that’s about 100 feet from my home. Was thinking of integrating the deco mesh system you recommend by bypassing the Starlink router. What I plan to do is put one of the mesh routers in the garage, run an Ethernet from that mesh, buried underground, to another mesh inside the shop. Think that would work? Thanks!
That would be the ideal solution. Hardwiring the nodes together will give you the best Wi-Fi performance.
Can you leave the Starlink router connected and also hook up an external router system?
Will this get rid of the double nat
Do you have a video for creating a mesh system with starlink .. specifically to boost range to out buildings like a garage or outdoor entertainment space?
I can only speak for myself when I ordered mine. I bought two extra routers from Starlink end it extends for my whole property which is very remote, but they are all from Starlink.
Best way imo would be to use your own router with Starlink bypass mode and create your own mesh network with repeaters.
Thanks!
Can I go from ethernet adapter to switch and then 2 different routers/mashes because I have 2 houses one next to another.. is this possible?
Can I using for internet office. Around 25 unit pc?
My point of NOT using the StarLink router is to reduce power consumption (on a boat with limited power) to a router that only uses 12 watts. With the Starlink adapter plugged into a wall socket, but NOT the StarLink router, will I be saving power using a 12 watt Linksys router instead of the Starlink router (which inexplicably has the LED on the BOTTOM where you can't see it) ? Thanks
Thanks for the video! I already have my adapter adapter and plugged in my old mesh network connected to the Starlink router. I haven't set bypass yet, as I want to know how to access the starlink app after that... will it still work?
Yes, the Starlink app should still be accessible even in bypass mode. Some 3rd party routers may require a static route to be set back to the dish IP if you can't connect to the app. The blog post (link in description) has instructions for that.
This is great - thank you very much. I have a couple questions. I am working remotely in Mexico and I want/need to set-up a VPN as some sites I need access to do not like my Mexican IP address. The only way I can think of doing this is purchasing a router which will allow VPN's and do the starlink passthrough. I have bought 2 additional Starlink mesh routers to extend the signal in my concrete home - they work okay not great but I do have signal throughout my home. If I put the main starlink router in bypass will that disable the mesh routers from picking up signal and distributing throughout my home? Will the TP-Link 1750 work in Mexico? Thank you!
Yes, if you put the main Starlink router in bypass mode, the Starlink mesh nodes will no longer work. The easiest way to do a VPN would be to install the VPN client on each device that you want to connect with. For example, I use Private Internet Access on my laptop and phone. They have apps you download, and you just turn the VPN on and off on the device without having to mess with the router.
Can I directly plug the ethernet cable to my switch without using any additional routers?
Hello, I am looking for a solution for a web server, which requires opening ports to achieve correct operation. The question is if with this configuration Starlink allows the opening of ports? (TCP and UDP) I would appreciate your comments.
very nice video. I went to your page talking about routers. So Im still learning. I live on an island in alaska. Love Starlink. Right now Im getting download speeds of mid 200' to 300. We only use the Apple TV which Im hardwired directly too. So am I to understand that an upgraded router will give me faster speeds? I do have a 2 story house with bedrooms below the room with the router. We have family come and visit. Would you recommend a mesh or will a powerful router suffice? of course I know that depends what the walls are made of, distance etc. any extra tips would be appreciated
No, a router won't necessarily give you faster internet speeds. An aftermarket router or mesh system is really only necessary if you have coverage weak spots. With the Starlink app, when you do a speed test, it gives you a "Wifi Speed" result. This is the speed between your phone and the router. If your Wifi coverage is weak, you'll notice this Wifi speed is very low, limiting the speed test. But if you are getting 200-300 mbps, that is very fast for Starlink, so coverage doesn't seem to be an issue.
Personally, I have a 1.5 story house and have no issues getting good Wifi coverage with just one router. Even the standard Starlink router did fine in that regard before going aftermarket.
The main reason to go aftermarket would be for the additional network configuration and security features that advanced users may want/need. The included router is great for 90% of people.
Hope that helps!
@@StarlinkHardware very clear thank you!
You do know that only 5-10 Mbps is required to stream 1080p content smoothly, right? So with 200-300mpbs you could theoretically watch 40 to 60 1080p channels at once.
How many router can i use for a single business starlink package ?
and how many user can use at a time and how the internet speed would be ?
Hi Colby, how do you do this with the starlink business kit, where you have the option not to have the Starlinks wifi router connected at all? As on the business kit you can plug the Starlink PSU directly to a 3rd party router. Unsure how you can then use your Starlink app to go through all the settings
The Starlink app can still connect to the dish to access all relevant dish settings. With the business kit, you don't need bypass mode, just use your 3rd party router without the Starlink router plugged in at all. Once your phone is connected to the same network that your Starlink dish is on, the app will be able to connect and talk to the dish.
Thx, I asked you last time for a stand alone system, with solar and battery for the Starlink. Where we stay we don't usually have electric power. What's the best-recommended solar and battery spec?
It would depend more on what else you are using on the electrical system. Starlink, when heating is off, will use around 20-50 watts. There are solar and battery calculators out there that will allow you to estimate power usage from all your devices, and then calculate the battery and solar size you would need.
@@StarlinkHardware thanks for your reply. My concern is only to power the Starlink with the solar system.
Do you have a set up for it?
Hey Hi, it is recommended to do that? a mean, Is it possible to have better internet speeds or better coverage
with an external router?
Depends on the router you get, but a big reason would be to actually hard wire to it
Is it possible for TP link router to stay connected to main router?but this time wirelessly?
2:40 to turn off bypass mode as per Starlink instructions that i have used many times you need to power cycle "unplug/plug" the SL gateway 3 times not 6.
According to Starlink instructions, it's 6 times, but they probably just say that to make sure there are enough cycles to reset it. I believe they used to say 3 in their instructions, so it probably still works with just 3 cycles.
the older modem was 3 the new one is 6
@Demetrios Christopher well, we are talking about the same man that when shown his first rocket, he said. " make the next one more pointier"
@@StarlinkHardware - Imagine an intermittent power outage/brownout which cycles SL 3 or more times. Factory reset... oops. lol I think having a recessed reset button would have been a better solution. imo
Is it best to disable the Starlink Router or to put a mesh system in Access point mode? I assume this makes it easier for Starlink support but would appreciate feedback. Thanks.
I’m wondering the exact same thing, unsure which is the better option when it comes to internet speed and overall connection stability
I understand the new StarLink router only has USB. Is there a way to run USB to the router or get a USB to Ethernet out adaptor?
I will be adding my Google nest to the SL system; what do i need to know?
Will you be able to use the Starlink App with the new router wlan? There are some functions that are vital for me like snow melting..
Did you get any response?
Hi! will i be able to use LAN cables from my existing network once i connect the adapter?
Yes, you can plug any existing cables into either the adapter itself, or into the LAN ports on a 3rd party router.
there's an adapter that you can use to send the internet directly to your own router, so if anybody needs help, i also work mikrotik routers to manage Starlink services, so you can check all details about your traffic and more.
Thanks for the great video. I have just ordered my adapter in Canada for 50 dollars Canadian which includes taxes and shipping. Amazon wants 90 dollars for it.
The ones on Amazon are just 3rd party scalpers charging people more. It's cheaper from Starlink directly. Starlink.com is the only place Starlink sells their accessories.
Am going to give this a try today. I have an Asus DSL-AC55U plus an Asus repeater going to a seperate tiny house. I believe any issues will be with the setup of the Asus router, which isn't straightforward. I've tried once before, and the issue I had is when I switch to the Asus router, I lose connectivity with Starlink and the app doesn't let me in to switch to bypass mode, so I had to switch to bypass mode before disconnecting Starlink. Any way around this? Thanks for the vid!
You might be auto-joining the Asus router. Connect up the Asus router, go into your phone settings, and make sure you are still connected to the Starlink Wifi in order to turn it on bypass mode. Once in bypass mode, go back and connect to the Asus Wifi network. If you still can't connect via the app or dishy.starlink.com, try going into the Asus settings and creating a static route to the dish IP address:
Network destination: 192.168.100.0
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.100.1
Interface: WAN
"Unplug and replug 6 times in a row".... GM and Ford definitely had some ideas that SpaceX used. "Turn to aux and press start/stop button 35 times in a row, press brake then accelerator in sequence 4 times, press start/stop once, wait 15 seconds, press once again. You are now in service mode." lol
Planning on using the ethernet adapter to plug into a powercord device and generate a second, power outlet WiFi a few floors up. Will this require bypass mode as well?
No, you only need bypass if you want to disable the Starlink router. You won’t need to do that in your situation.
@@StarlinkHardware Thanks, not only for answering so quickly, but also for having the best possible answer! 😁
I have a question please , why would you want to use a different router other than Starlink’s provided router?
Because I have a very long cable running to an outbuilding.
It's got a very short range in between walls
Around 6 metres
Hi, do you know if you are able to obtain a IPv4 ip address that isn't subnetted on the WAN side? I am interested in using dynamic dns and create a site to site vpn between starlink and another fibre connection.
I don't believe so. Starlink assigns via CGNAT. On the Business plan you can get a public ipv4 address, but even that isn't really static.
After that,Can we Add another Lan network on remaining 4 lan Ports?
I tried to do this today in a very rural area in my home in Maui and it didn't work. TP link website they told me to set it up on kept giving me error message like "check your connection". Do you think its because I used over 150 feet of cat6 cable? Is there some kind of limit with starlink v2?
150ft should work fine, but if you have a shorter cable to try temporarily, that would help rule that out as the cause. I would also check to make sure you have the cable from the Starlink Ethernet Adapter plugged into the correct port. There are LAN ports and an Internet port, the Starlink dish (modem) needs to be plugged into Internet. The TP-Link router also needs to be set up in router mode and not access point or bridge.
Is the asus ax55 good for starlink?
What does the setup look like to access your security cameras remotely.
Maybe a stupid question but asking anyway! So, when I add my new router can I keep the same SSID name and password that I already have set up for Starlink? That way I don't have to go and change all my devices already hooked up to the Starlink wifi.
should be able to
could you drop a ink where i can buy the Starlink ethernet adapter
Well, it’s still in AP mode and may have a double nat and cgnat problem and etc.
I still expect it to bring option ont mode with encryption and have total control of network And really not having this option can cause me so many problems
There's something missing here. I keep seeing videos that suggest that the ethernet adapter just provides a plug and play connection to a device or another router. In my case, there is no internet being delivered thru the ethernet port. Can't even get internet to a computer connected via the ethernet cable. Does that mean I have a bad adapter? Or is there something else that has to be configured?
Have you removed the starlink router and plugged directly into your own router? If so it won't work because you need the original router to power the dish. Alternatively modify the cable to connect to a 48v poe injector!
We have a gen 1 Starlink which has an aux port . Will this work instead of buying the adapter?
With the Gen 1 dish it's even easier. Just unplug the Gen 1 router completely, and plug in your 3rd party router in its place. No bypass mode or adapter needed for Gen 1.
Awsome ,thanks for the quick reply! @@StarlinkHardware
Do you configure it as a PPPoE or dynamic DHCP connection to the new router?
I didn't do anything special, it's the base setup on the TP-Link router, and the only thing changed on the Starlink side is enabling bypass mode.
After installation bypassing Starlink WIFI Router, would programming TPlink router to port forwarding? Many sites says impossible because Starlink has implemented CGNAT. what is your feedback?
Usually CGNAT is an issue with gaming or VPN connections, not individual websites. You can’t really get away from dynamic IP’s with Starlink, but sometimes port forwarding can help for certain applications.
So you would be able to use the Ethernet ports on the TP router/any other router?
Yes, once you have Starlink plugged into your own router, the Ethernet ports on the router will be usable.
Hi, can you turn off the starlink modem WiFi signal to only maintain the deco’s signal? Thanks
si pudiste? eso también estoy buscando 😢
I have been trying to use the ethernet adapter, I go to settings and when I go to bypass mode it has the message You must be online and logged in with the account associated with this Starlink to update settings. I have tried everything and can not get this cleared to let me access the by pass mode. Does anyone have any ideas as I have reset the starlink many times and still this nag comes up, Just got the dish on 8-22-23 after waithing 2 years.
Hi! I am wondering, is it possible to have ip v4 static address via starlink connect? Do they sell such service if you need?
They don't offer a static IP. Business customers can get a public IP. There are workarounds for a static IP, like using a VPN.
Just wanted to ask if you can plug another router via Ethernet and use both at the same time thanks all
Yes, but you would be double NAT, which isn't ideal. It will work, though. Are you just needing additional Wifi coverage? If so, you can just plug in a 3rd party router configured as an access point (or bridge mode) to act as a Wifi repeater, instead of a router.
I have issue using 3d party router with SL router in “Bridge mode”.
Tried three different 3d party routers, two replacement ethernet adapter and replacement SL router with no luck. If WIFI on SL router “ON” - ethernet adapter has got internet, as soon I put SL router in “Bridge mode’ - no internet from ethernet adapter.
Any ideas?
I’m having the exact same issue. Everything was working fine prior to the update where they introduced bypass. My decos now don’t get a DHCP address
And please can I ask, I live in the UK but I want to buy the starlink in UK to be taken to Nigeria for use permanently.
Will it work directly in Nigeria considering that I bought and shipped it to my address in London?
No it won't work, unless you buy the Global Roam version. It's always best to buy it where you are going to use it.
Nice very clear 😊 how about point to point can you upload a next video about this one?
It's on my to-do list. I get a lot of questions about how to extend Starlink beyond 150ft. Would you say you want more of a how-to for install, or just a general guide on how those systems work with Starlink?
@@StarlinkHardware more is always better than less 😁
how about mikrotik devices? it seems DHCP client right?
Will this change nat type for gaming? I’m on moderate right now with the regular starlink router but I want it to be open
Starlink hands out IP's using CGNAT, so unless you have the Business plans, you won't have a public IP address. You can try to change the settings, but a 3rd party router isn't going to give you access to a public IP or get rid of CGNAT.
@@StarlinkHardware damn this sucks. It literally says I have 35 ping but when I’m in the match it jumps up to 80 I’m almost positive it’s because it’s a moderate nat type and not open
Found a new issue and wanted to share with everyone -
So apparently I have the older rectangular SL mesh router. This requires 3 power cycles to reset the device. I use this SL service currently as a backup internet service for my home as everyone here works from home.
It’s connected in bypass mode to my Firewalla Gold Plus router which is then shared across my network.
For unknown reasons the SL router and network adapter failed. I replaced the network adapter and still had no connectivity. I went through countless resets but I could only get WiFi to work not bypass. After reaching out to SL support and a week plus later I opened another ticket to see if my last ticket was in limbo. I finally received a response and was told they are replacing the mesh router and my network adapter. 2 weeks later I received everything and poof back to normal
Do you know if the starlink mesh router has to connect to the starlink router or can it connect to a third party router?
It has to connect to the Starlink router, it isn't compatible with 3rd party routers.
Hello, could I use an wifi extender? I am asking this because I just found this video and not sure what it is suppose to do. Thanks.
Wifi extenders are an option, but most require a WPS button to get the network information from Starlink. The Starlink router doesn't have a the WPS feature to use with extenders. Make sure to get one with the ability to configure it from an app, so you can connect it to the Starlink Wifi that way.
@@StarlinkHardware mine does have a WPS button. Thank you so much for the most helpful, easy video
If i buy the ethernet adapter and do bypass.. Will the Starlink Router still serve its job as a router cos i want to run the other router down my living room downstairs and leave the Starlink Router upstairs in my bedroom to server other devices
In that case, don't bypass the router. Just configure your new aftermarket router in access point/bridge mode.

The E8450 will work fine with Starlink. The modem on Starlink is the dish itself. All you need to do is plug an Ethernet cable from the Starlink router into the WAN/Internet port on the E8450 router. If you have Gen 3 you should already have an Ethernet port on the router. If you have Gen 2, you need the Starlink Ethernet Adapter.
Thank you so much I was able to get it working no issues at all. The only issue is I purchased the router on Amazon and when I went to register it I found out it was already out of warranty so they’re swapping it out for me but it works perfect with my mesh node as well, thanks again
Good evening team starlink hardware, can we create a hotspot in the starlink router?
if so, by how?
Depende on how you set up the router and what type of router you get.
Hola Buenas noches, se Puede apagar la señal Wifi del módem Starlink? para mantener solo la señal del tp link?
dice en el video que se elimina la señal wifi starlink y solo queda la del tp link
When I've attempted this with my personal router speeds just died. I mean 8 to 10 tops. My unit is 4 to 5 yrs old. Any thoughts on where I look for a improvements.
Could be an issue with the Ethernet Adapter. Take it out of bypass mode and connect a device right to the Starlink Ethernet Adapter and speed test from there. If normal, that means it is your router. You could try a factory reset to erase any settings that may be causing the slow speeds.
Is it possible to still using the Starlink router wifi with the new router, both at the same time? Greetings from Brazil.
Yes, just don't put it in bypass mode, and use the other router in access point mode.
