But to slant towards a brand because of “corporate feeling” is way too political. Buying skate shoes is about your own comfort, fee & preference. In the end, it’s the consumer’s choice base on affordability. Vans has always been the most best priced shoe company amongst all especially for entry level. Never forget your roots. Without Vans, there wouldn’t be any other companies formed to give competitive selections as well as technologies for skaters. Corporate or not, it all starts form somewhere. To be dissing about them, is the same as dissing on beginner skaters once you’re an Am or Pro though you were once a beginner. We just have to “stop the hate & just continue to skate” as one community for its culture. That goes for the companies as well as a whole. @dancorrigan: you gotta stay humble & be a positive influencer for the viewers.

put double sided tapes on your rails before you screw them in the board. that should help with the rattling. also i put a little drop of superglue in the screw holes if they get loose overtime. locktite should probably work better too.

I don’t know how much you like to go to nollie, but Nollie to manual is a fun trick. I love riding to the top of a bank and then popping a nollie backside 180 to manual to the bottoms of whatever bank it’s on is one of my signature go to tricks

Your skateboarding will grow immensely if you respect your bodies abilities and boundaries, yes there are times we can try to skate something that we think may never be possible, but only do that if it brings you just as equal joy as fear , more joy and more confidence. dont try to be a josh kalis if you're a tony alva, dont try to do street stuff if u like to cruise. just be you and your ability to do more will come naturally

If Steve Caballero didn't need vans to make his shoe when he was a kid and started intally with his own shoe company and made the half cab, he'd be super rich rn. Just go cruise around and give a head nod to people when you make eye contact.
